@ Cosmo: Man, I just laughed so hard tears are rolling down my face! Haven't seen that in ages! EDIT: Okay, back on topic. What do I do? SU-27/MiG-29S:pilotfly: Step One: Fly head on and wait for them to fire at me (hopefully from beyond 20k or so) and then turn around and run like heck back the way I came! This makes them very angry at both me and their wasted missile.:harhar: Step Two: If they don't fire from beyond 20-30k then I fire an ER and f-pole left and right depending on whether I have any more bandits on my scope and where they are (to keep separation for as long as possible), get below them...And get ready to beam, break, roll, or press. Step Three: What I do depends on what the bandit does; Step Three(A): If he fires at me during my f-pole and the separation is still beyond 20k, then refer to step one. Step Three(B): If I have been using step one continuously on the same guy and I'm pretty sure he's down to his last two missiles (and under 20k) then I beam and get ready to roll if I can't get the missile to lose enough energy. Step Three©: If he fires TWS and I don't get enough warning then I increase my f-pole as much as I can before I am forced to attempt a roll-evasion. Step Three(D): If the bandit goes defensive as soon as I fire, then I maintain my f-pole (and my hard lock) until I am pretty sure that no unguided actives or heaters are in the air and then I press HARD to try and kill the distance while he is completely defensive. Step Four: Assuming the bandit goes defensive and is within 20k (and assuming the missiles I already have in the air are out of energy and won't reach him), I kill my hard lock and try for a quick EOS lock while I have a good look up his tailpipes even if it means killing any SARH I am already guiding. If I can't get it then I switch back to active radar and continue with step two, but if I can... Step Five: With a running bandit and and eos lock, I simply try to close the distance, maintain my lock undetected, stay below the bandit, and wait for him to turn back in. As soon as I see him begin a turn back in I fire an ET in the direction he is turning, make sure my missile is guiding, put him in the notch and as soon as he completes his turn I head for the beam and get ready for a merge if my ET fails. (and YES although, I don't often need it, I authorize the launch if I have to: so sue me:music_whistling:). Hopefully by this time I have reduced the distance to 15k or less and by the time he completes his turn and finds me again he'll get a heater in his teeth. Note: Chaff and Flares are your friends. Use them preemptively, but don't waste them when attempting step one as they aren't usually needed. Also: The steps above are very general and avoid many specifics and underlying techniques. They aren't set in stone and change fluidly as our enemies do. They are very general guidelines and when it comes right down to it, your experience and gut feeling are the only things you'll REALLY be listening to when the shit hits the fan. Reading a bunch of forums won't teach you squat without getting out there and attempting what you've learned in real time.:smartass: And one more thing- All of those steps leave out the most important thing of all: teamwork. The most inexperienced fighter-jocks can take out the most experienced Sierra-Hotel pilot if they work together. For example- Step one works ten times better if you have a wingy flying in trail or spread and working with you to lure the bandit into wasting missiles:blink:, kill his SA:shocking:, bait him into over-extending:crazy: and generally making a fool of himself:joystick:. Whenever possible, outnumber the enemy. Screw being fair. Pick off one at a time with team work and the odds go from 4-4 to 4-3 to 4-2 to the point where the other guys are so confused that they think a dead wingy is still covering their back when it's YOU lining up right behind him for the kill-shot.:tomato: ...Just my opinion...2 points

Magic buttons, Beaming and barrel rolling?? Pfft .. All old school maneuvers . Here's how it's done, Thee Evasion Technique guaranteed to make everything your opponent fires at you miss. Only draw back is that you'll evade everything with this technique, including girls, so use it sparingly :noexpression: .2 points

SCROLL DOWN OR GO TO THE LAST PAGE TO STAY TUNED ABOUT THE GOLDEN STAR, VIRTUAL DISPLAY PILOT. Fore more informations, visit: WWW.GOLDENSTAR.SAWAMURA.DE Golden Star tale composed by Sawamura The Golden Star is a fictional team, that was founded in september 2008. Yes, but not directly (ie. you aim the Shkval, which has a maximum traverse rate, and the gun follow the Skval. In other words, it's not like the Apache's 'look and shoot' setup)1 point

Ok so the CLSID probably isn't a problem then - even so I would change it to the proper format :) . Strange. Make sure to: remove any existing structtable.sht from the Bazar folder, delete the Shapes.bin and remove any existing Meinit.xml from the ME folder - before placing the new files into the folders. No :) . If you look in the Meinit general fortifications list, you can see that the lines have both a "Name =" and a "ShapeName=" - the former is just for display purposes(corresponding to the "username =" in the structtable.sht), while the latter is the name of the actual 3D shape file(corresponding to the "file =" in the structtable.sht).... <Fortification CLSID="{89404106-D3B4-4c9a-9F37-9B671DFC69A5}" Name="Hanger 3" Rate="100" ShapeName="hanger3"/> <Fortification CLSID="{FFA5B1DE-8382-4cc2-B535-5917DA2FABD5}" Name="Hanger 2" Rate="100" ShapeName="hanger2"/> <Fortification CLSID="{3005D09C-7308-4efb-8EBA-CF3C833EB930}" Name="Hanger 1" Rate="100" ShapeName="hanger1"/> <Fortification CLSID="{71AC463C-310A-41ce-B7E7-0000000000001}" Name="ALS" Rate="100" ShapeName="ALS"/> <Fortification CLSID="{71AC463C-310A-41ce-B7E7-923AC3CA5EDC}" Name=".Block" Rate="100" ShapeName="block"/> <Fortification CLSID="{B54053A8-B054-4a0b-871C-6DDA65ED90EF}" Name=".Block on road" Rate="100" ShapeName="block-onroad"/> <Fortification CLSID="{20A1B146-07C6-4ee6-851C-DBBC92135446}" Name=".Bunker" Rate="100" ShapeName="dot"/> <Fortification CLSID="{2848C193-6789-472c-8430-AF3D739BB6C8}" Name=".Pill-box" Rate="100" ShapeName="dot2"/> <Fortification CLSID="{64DE4673-7D3E-424f-AB29-F4336AC38F98}" Name=".Command Center" Rate="100" ShapeName="ComCenter"/> <Fortification CLSID="{85D3DBF2-05DF-48e1-9C49-FD104E65A76E}" Name=".Ammunition depot" Rate="100" ShapeName="SkladC"/> <Fortification CLSID="{7c822c60-9885-4a44-8add-b87511ff0fc5}" Name="Hangar A" Rate="100" ShapeName="angar_a"/> ....while under countries the name refers to the ShapeName only: <Fortification CLSID="{89404106-D3B4-4c9a-9F37-9B671DFC69A5}">hanger3</Fortification> <Fortification CLSID="{FFA5B1DE-8382-4cc2-B535-5917DA2FABD5}">hanger2</Fortification> <Fortification CLSID="{3005D09C-7308-4efb-8EBA-CF3C833EB930}">hanger1</Fortification> <Fortification CLSID="{71AC463C-310A-41ce-B7E7-0000000000001}">ALS</Fortification> <Fortification CLSID="{71AC463C-310A-41ce-B7E7-923AC3CA5EDC}">Block</Fortification> <Fortification CLSID="{B54053A8-B054-4a0b-871C-6DDA65ED90EF}">Block on road</Fortification> <Fortification CLSID="{20A1B146-07C6-4ee6-851C-DBBC92135446}">Block2</Fortification> <Fortification CLSID="{2848C193-6789-472c-8430-AF3D739BB6C8}">Block3</Fortification> <Fortification CLSID="{64DE4673-7D3E-424f-AB29-F4336AC38F98}">Block4</Fortification> <Fortification CLSID="{85D3DBF2-05DF-48e1-9C49-FD104E65A76E}">Block5</Fortification> <Fortification CLSID="{7c822c60-9885-4a44-8add-b87511ff0fc5}">angar_a</Fortification> Thats the system anyway and I deliberately changed the usernames in the structtable in order to distinguish these from the shapenames. However, under countries its only the CLSID that matters and stating an incorrect shapename actually makes no differnce :) . So the problem must be with something else - it sounds like you have followed the proper procedure, so it might be something with your LO install like an incompatibility with a mod or something. BTW - what application do you use for editing the files?1 point

Hey sobek! I think you should face off with some of the competative Pac-Man players out there. You will learn when you should eat the pellets that turn the ghosts blue and when you save those so you can eat more dots. :smartass:1 point

This was the first time I asked this- the last thing I asked was if there was plans for an F-15E and if so if it was a major leap- which would require a differnt sim or if it weas simple enough that it could be included with the F-15C sim. Then after getting the answer from Wags- that it would be complex and would have to be a differnt sim. I got a the posts about how it could never could be done. I keep reading those posts and I am sick of reading them since my understanding of every thing came down to the following- can you get a declasified version of the Manual and dose ED or some one else have the recourses and time to make it. In short this is a shut up and don't say it can't be done unless your ED.1 point

Most A-10s are in the standard color grey, but to get you boys start thinking in the right direction, here’s a couple of other real A-10 color schemes that were thought of. Some of them were actually made.1 point

For the last two weeks the sky over south of Bulgaria has been disturbed by the roar of a whole fighter army- 10 F-16C from USAF 93rd FW "Makos" Florida flown by very experienced pilots is visiting 3rd Graff Ignatievo AFB where they've played multiple training engagement versus 8 MiG-21s and 10 MiG-29s of the Bulgarian AF- mostly 1v1 doggifht and 2v2 BVR tactical engagement, "Mako Javellin 2008". Both sides are satisfied of the outcome of these intensive flights.
