I saw some interesting stuff online about using the WiiMote as an IR tracker and decided to put something together for these wonderful clickable cockpits. Using an old golf glove, I attached an IR LED, battery and switch to enable my LCD monitor to act like a touch screen. Wasn't to hopeful at first, but in the end it actually works, and works very well! Attached you'll find the latest mission that I've completed which has 30 plus variables and triggers and will play differently over several different attempts. I've even been surprised at the different outcomes of this mission as I've worked it out to get all the scripting just right. This mission presents quite a challenge, however, it is not impossible to complete successfully. I'll paste the mission briefings below. enjoy ron ================================= Command Center Down - The decision has been made to disrupt enemy operations by hitting the supply depot and taking down the command and control center south of Pyatigorsk. 2 Su25T's callsign Striker One will be orbiting awaiting your call after the SAM's are down. They will hit the ammo dumps when cleared "Hot". In addition, 2 Su27's will join overhead after the SAM's are down to provide air cover and hopefully help the Su25's deliver their payload on target. The city and the Command Center are HEAVILY guarded. Make your way to the north east edge of the city and use the hills for cover. Expect a considerable force at the outskirts of the city. The ammo dump and Communications complex coordinates are loaded into your Shark's PVI. Use Vikhr's to take out the SAM's protecting the city and Command Center. Once that is accomplished, make a run on the Command Center and use rockets, fired in a single volly, to take the Command Center down. (set the Burst switch to "Long" before firing rockets) Be alert for opposing forces Throughout the city and in the skies overhead. Return to Ny'e Vody to re-arm if necessary to return and take out any remaining ammo dumps. . Good luck and good hunting. =============================================== Fight your way to the edge of Pyatigorsk and clear the SAM's protecting the ammo dumps and Command center to make way for the airstrike. Once clear make a run to take the Command Center down and return to base. The city is hostile, spend as little time as possible delivering your weapons on the target. Re-arm if necessary to take out any remaining ammo dumps. On return beware of additional enemy advancement. Last but not least, be alert, for Command and Control personnel fleeing the Command Center from the nearby FARP north of the river. If the opportunity arises, take their helicopter down and cancel their departure. Command Center Down.miz

IMO I don't agree. There are just some people who are not going to be drawn to DCS for a while because there is no A2A for a bit. Patching LO provides longevity for these people, which would make them more inclined to purchase DCS when fighters do come. Then again, if there was a patch in the works we would have heard about it from beta testers and such, not details but just that it existed. Since we haven't, even if they started now I think it would take a while to get it out. By then the A10C will be out. I would prefer they just put the effort in to bringing a fighter to DCS quicker.

Contrail You are at the time that also gave me the most trouble. I had to find the right spot for the remote so it could see the entire monitor, without anything blocking it, while also at the same time moving the TrackIR out of the remotes field of view. I eneded up moving the TrackIR up above my monitor about 6 inches, with the remote about a foot behind my left shoulder at the same level as my monitor. The only difference with this is that I now have to wear my ballcap and clip slightly back on my head for the clip to remain in the field of view of the TrackIR.

Many people said that. And many of those people, are flying BS, having a hell of a time, and loving it. :thumbup:

Airway, you got my vote mate. +1 here that dont have a creditcard atm and have to wait til the box is out. Kinda crappy to sit here and see everyone else practising. :cry: I have made purchases of other sims that also said "creditcard only", but after a mail or phonecall i was given a bank account number and i could transfer from my bank to theirs the minute after i talked to them. So everyone i encounter have been easy and forthcoming when it comes to sell their products. I dont know why its hard for ED to be able to take sales through bank transfer. And i dont know how paypal and other similar services is a problem as i dont know how those work, but a simple bank transfer? Im not sitting here all mad and angry, cause im not, but i would definatelly be more happy with BS installed on my PC. ;)

Какой смысл в диске, давно запускают и без него, я думаю ломанут и следующую версию защиты, я лично сразу активировал, погонял сим, пригляделся, потом деактивировал, и залил образ с чистенькой системой и активировал еще раз, после чего, скинул образ с активацией. Так что если винда заглючит, просто образ залью назад, дело пяти минут и никаких дисков. Считаю полным бредом ссылки на проблемы с интернетом и телефоном. Надо думать, как лучше защитить, а не как удобней. Давно пора ввести проверку на валидность ключа, при игре по сети, будет реальным стимулом для покупки лицензии. Вообще надо создать больше мотиваций к приобретению сима, выделенный сервер никак не родите блин, хотите отдачу от проекта, нужно больше вкладывать и больше работать. Запустите выделенные сервера с проверкой ключа и у некоторых товарищей сразу исчезнут проблемы со связью, ибо интересно летать будет. Сейчас ситуация в онлайне крайне вялая, а кому не нужна сеть, телефон найдут по любому, календарь блин посмотрите, на годе сосредоточьтесь особенно. Будете и дальше черепашьими темпами проект развивать, забьют на всю вашу защиту, или чья она там. Нефиг тут опросы устраивать, уже все придумано за вас, вон как онлайн игры людей затягивают. Повторюсь, максимально защищено и чтобы интерес был.

NP aren't doing this to hold onto their market share but rather increase their share to the point where they monopolise the market. And the consumer always suffers in a monopolised market place. There is a danger that ED will suffer also. It will be interesting to see whether or not this becomes common to all new simulation titles wishing to implement 6DO head tracking. I think only severe lobbying from both software developers (such as ED) and NP customers is likely to make NP change their tune. Or better yet non-compliance from software developers and a boycott of NP products by the flight sim community.
