  1. hi, first of all, i read everything in the forum, but i wanted to start a new thread to adress this issue directly. maybe this way, ED will get more attention on this topic. (and sorry for any bad english...) i am experimenting with all possible settings for my new saitek evo force for 4 days now and i'm not getting any satisfying setup. and NO, I'M NOT DISABLING FFB, because its a very cool feature and the most realistic experience using trim in BS and i don't want to miss it. and YES, I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT TRIMMING and how to fly a helicopter, i mastered my flying skills in bs before i bought the evo with my old non ffb ms sidewinder stick. so this thread should contain all about force feedback trimming and controller setup based issues on the saitek evo force joystick. the best explanation for the problem is showed by postings of "=4c= Hajduk Veljko" and his video - please check it out first. short info about my system: vista 64, quadcore 3 GHz, nvidia 8800 gt SLI, trackIR, german version of BS, excellent performance with using the dcsmax-launcher. i'm using the latest saitek drivers (dl from the ftp! not the homepage). i had to setup the registry settings of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM to disable the interfering of my g25 ffb racing wheel. so far, i tested the "evo" with other games and it works perfect. the input of the stick acts very precisely, only in black shark the trouble comes up. ok, now to the facts: - disabling ffb in the producer.cfg no problems with the two available non-ffb trim methods. but hey, i bought the evo in particular for black shark! so this is no option for me! - ffb enabled in producer.cfg, default settings in the windows-controller settings (springs, forces etc.) strange trim behaviour, for example, tried to trim forward, the stick always kicks back to center a little bit. when i use the control display in bs (ctrl+enter) the indicator for the position shows that behaviour exactly. also, makes hovering and stabilizing very hard. conclusion, the forces of BS can't overcome the very weak hardware spring of the stick, but this tool "Force Feedback Diagnostic Program" forcetest.exe from http://www.dirks-software.ca/fs-force/support.htm demonstrates that it is absolutely possible. watch this (mentioned above, explains it all) next... - ffb enabled, hardware spring disabled on the stick (this can't be the final solution, because the spring improves precision), standart-spring-force disabled in windows-controller settings gives a slightly effort, when trimming, in the control-display (ctrl+enter) the indicator nearly keeps his position but still inaccurate. basic flying, hovering and stabilizing is possible now, also firing the shkval targeted cannon and vikhr missiles. but the input is very sensitive - this makes targeting with the fixed rocketpods very hard, using unguided rockets is always a waste of ammo (from the good old janes longbow times, i remember, that the apache's "fixed" rocketpods were linked to the target system with small horizontal angle compensation like the vikhr-pods have in the ka-50. that would solve my problem here ;-) ) so this is the point where i thought some small adjustments to the x and y axis curvature filter in the bs control options will help, but everything gets worse... - ffb enabled, hardware spring disabled on the stick, standart-spring-force disabled in windows-controller settings, curvature settings on the x & y axis in bs options first i tried a nice +20 curvature to improve accuracy near the center of the stick, the outcome is a loss of the nice ffb trim hold, that with linear curvature appeared, it starts to kick back to the center again. if i go higher on the curvature value i totally loose the ffb trim hold. the very strange thing is, if i apply a negative curvature, let's say -10, it improves the trim hold accuracy a lot, it is nearly perfect, but the stick becomes too sensitive and aiming with unguided missiles becomes absolutely impossible. when i think about it, it seems that all settings that you apply in the bs config options of the joy-axis, the input data will go directly into the steering simulation of the engine. its like that these settings are not working as an input data filter -before- the engine like in other games, its working like an input configuration for the simulated ka-50 itself. hmmm, i think thats not a good concept or maybe its simply a bug in one of the best features in dcs: black shark. ps: uhm, it's an complex issue. i hope, everything i mentioned, is as clearly understandable as possible. it may also be hard to understand for non-ffb pilots. or maybe i'm doing something wrong. let's have a discussion... ps2: my settings for a good ffb trim hold example with saitek evo force: deadzone = 5, curvature = -10, but steering too sensitive at all!

  5. Hello Pilots, I know there are already some Shkval mods available. Mine is a little bit different. It's based on a video from Youtube called "Vikhr shkval footage". I used the idea of the "Curved Shkval Mod". I also made a little comparison between different shkval mods and the default one. I hope some other people like this mod, too. Modman compatible.   6. Выношу на ваш суд отредактированные мной файлы, служащие для отображения текстовой информации для техники, приведённой в «Справочнике». Ошибок было исправлено множество, правке подверглись практически все файлы, поэтому привести весь список исправлений нет возможности, да всё уж и не упомнишь. В некоторых изменения были незначительными – были только исправлены некоторые опечатки, внесены небольшие дополнительные сведения, либо переработан вид отображения текстовой информации, как это было сделано, к примеру, с электровозом ВЛ80 при отображении тех. характеристик электровозов ВЛ80-004 и -005, электродвигателей НБ-414А и Б, что выглядит, на мой взгляд, наиболее читаемо, и т.п. Другие исправления были более кардинальными, как к примеру с бомбардировщиком Ту-22М3, т.к. на картинке указан этот самолёт, ТТХ тоже его, а описание написано про самую первую модификацию – Ту-22, что, на мой взгляд, не правильно, потому что модификация Ту-22М3 (как впрочем, и Ту-22М0, Ту-22М1, Ту-22М2 и Ту-22МР), являются совершенно другими самолётами, отличающиеся от первого Ту-22 даже внешне. Поэтому я посчитал нужным, дать в конце немного информации и про эти модели. Или в случае с ППРУ «Ранжир» – в «Справочнике» он представлен как ППРУ «Ранжир», а в «Редакторе миссий» вставляется как ППРУ 9С80М «Овод-М-СВ». Считаю, что правильней будет сменить его название и в «Справочнике». Похожая проблема с ПТУР 9М114 «Штурм-В» – в «Справочнике», в описании этой ракеты, даны ТТХ (опять же, по моим источникам) – ПТУР «Атака», что опять непонятно. Уж если моделировать в игре «Атаку», то и обзывать её надобно своим именем, а уж если «Штурм-В», то, соответственно, и ТТХ нужно забивать для этой ракеты. В некоторых, были изменены данные ТТХ, которые я взял из своих источников (хотя я не утверждаю, что они абсолютно верны – сам не раз находил в них ошибки). Остался ещё вопрос о ракете Х-65. Дело в том, что я в своих источниках нигде не смог найти информацию по этой ракете. Есть только ПКР Х-65СЕ. Так вот, судя по ТТХ Х-65, приведённой в «Справочнике», она имеет такие же габариты (длину и диаметр), как и Х-65СЕ, а дальность действия и массы (общую и БЧ) – гораздо большие. Что, как мне кажется, при одинаковых габаритах – не совсем реально. Файл, с данными ракеты Х-65СЕ (Kh-65_ru) – прилагается. В остальном же, вам судить, стоит ли использовать отредактированный мной «Справочник», или оставить прежний, на его безоговорочной непогрешимости я не настаиваю. Для тех, кто решил воспользоваться этим «Справочником», скопируйте папку Enc, вложенную в это сообщение, в папку scripts, путь к папке Enc: Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts\ , предварительно не забыв скопировать, находящуюся там оригинальную папку Enc, в какое-нибудь другое место, на случай, если вам не понравится моя редакция.   8. Feuerfalke ist kein Fanboy, er hat das Problem mit dem Patch für ED reproduzierbar gemacht und war somit, im krassen Gegensatz zu dir, produktiv an der Lösung beteiligt.

  9. Can anyone point me toward good documentation on advanced usage of the G940. I'd be glad to look into it from my end. The only thing that came with the stick was directions on how to plug it in! And of course the Help me file is extremely lacking. I'm completely new to this sim. And I could be making some mistakes in flight routine on my part. But, the video posted by the OP is the same exact thing I have problems with. Take your hand off the stick and it pitches back. This is extremely frustrating because auto hover and auto pilot are effected.

  12. Thanks, yes, I have to correct rear pilots animation. I`m so sorry - I forgot it to correct. I knew there is a little "jump" between frame 25 to 0 . The pic about the lights is very interestingbut it confused me well : Right side normaly marked with green lights and the photo show a green lamp at the wingtip and a fat red light near rightern intake. However: I`ll interprete it. Some more skins would be nice--I hope that a skin guru will create one. Maintain problem is that I wouldn`t use the LOMAC textures. I like to see readable instructions for groundpersonals just like "use tool 12" or "do not paint this". The resolution of LOMAC textures about the F-15 aren`t high enough but was higly standard in 2002. Modern graphic cards can take much more My very best wishes, TOM

America really needs the support of the international community to run with this war on terror thing. If I was American this would concern me deeply. Remember the one and only difference between the good guys and the bad guys is a change of perspective. Coz damn sure your actions are no different.

  15. Yeah, come on. Let us wait 6 month for a patch, release a first hotfix, then another. And then wondering why the people get angry, after waiting for such a long time and invest money explicit for the game(Hardware, the game itself etc.). Give us/me a warning. I don't care any longer.....shame on you guys for your laughable attitude:mad:

Время не прошло зря, был проделан определенный объем работ, который, как мы полагаем, отразится на группе с положительной стороны и в ближайшем будущем у всех будет возможность в этом убедиться. Исходя их этого, с огромным удовольствием довожу до Вашего сведения, что Виртуальная Пилотажная Группа "Белые ВОроны" вернулась в виртуальное пространство и возобновила полеты.   17. You can't be serious! No way! I'm german and I won't set the localisation to russian! Why is there a difference between the 1.0 - >1.0.1b (have to change localisation) and 1.0.1a -> 1.0.1b (don't have to change localisation)? Why ED can't release a patch 1.0.1b without this localisation-problem? :doh: Edit: Hint for ED: If you won't anger your customers, upload the 1.0.1a patch to your side again. Then delete the 1.0.1b patch and only provide the hotfix to 1.0.1b! My 2 cent

  19. So finished making the fuel shut-off valves yesterday and kept looking at the way it looked versus the in-game version. I wasn't happy about the way it looked. So I decided to chop it down and make the curvature more aggressive. So gave it a more aggressive angle. While I was cutting it apart, I kept thinking how I was going to wrape a piece of wood over the front of it, then I started thinking about if I could get a piece of ABS plastic to cover the front. So cut off a flat piece of ABS and then screwed it to the bottom then heated it up with some propane to make it bend easier. After about a 1/2 hour I was able to heat it up enough to easily conform to the shape of the wood! Once it had cooled down, I then put it into the pit to see how it looked. But it looked a little too wide. I took it out, and since it was 100cm wide, I took and cut it down the middle and took out 15cm to make it a total of 85cm wide then glued it back together again. Now I think it looks *more* like the in-game counterpart! I can probably move the guide slots for the left/right fuel shut-off levers closer together, but for now, I am just looking to get the size/shape of the closer to the picture. Here is a screenshot from DCS Blackshark - I added an additional 30cm to the bottom of the fuel shut-off and rotor lock/unlock, so mine is a tad bit longer, so not totally being a purist but I think I nailed the size/shape of it though. Well - that's it for now. I will be working on the APU gyro on the left side tomorrow. That's a real small box, but I think it will be an easy piece to make. :smilewink:

  20. Вообще-то ED сами признавали, что корабли у них цели для утопления. АК-176 вынесет Ка-50 с дистанции 10 км, ствольная артиллерия в игре не смоделирована никак, тот-же катер лупит по наземным целям и не применяет ее по ВЦ. Лично у меня АК-176 вынесла ракету мишень на базе П-15 с 6 км (взяли на сопровождение с 8-9). Да кстати ПЗРК есть на всей мелочи железно и по идее моделировать их надо. Чем по вашему рабочее место стрелка пулемета отличается в плане реализации в симуляторе от РМ оператора систем вооружения ( в том же Ми-24,АН-64), помоему ничем... Так, что все эти хотелки с после выхода любого двух местного ЛА
