  1. Hi, I am very satisfied with the P-51D, so far and I look forward to future patches. Still, after purchasing the P-51D, I have decided to only purchase a PC game, from now on, if the game is developed in the USA or is substantially developed within the USA. I request that the DCS team or a third party develop add-ons, with the USA or I will no longer buy your products or third party products. I am not a xenophobic person, but the USA needs careers, I intend to do my part, by substituting as many foreign made products, for American made products, as I can. In any event, foreign made video games are very expensive in the USA. For instance, US customers do not enjoy Russian prices for Russian made goods. Games that cost $12 in Russia, cost $49.99 in the USA. Even if US made video games cost more, than Russian made games cost the USA, the USA would have those jobs and the USA needs those jobs, far more than I need foreign made products. The USA is not going to create jobs by shipping every career abroad. The USA is certainly not going to create jobs paying through the nose; for Russian made video games. I understand that companies are Global, in nature. Still, there are Global gaming companies, like CCP and Bethesda, working on development, within the USA. Even though CCP makes products outside the USA, they also develop games in Atlanta Georgia. The products that CCP makes outside the USA, I will not buy, but the projects they are substantially developing within Atlanta Georgia, I will buy. As I pointed out above, it is nothing personal, but the USA needs careers and I will no longer financially support companies developing products abroad; certainly not when those products could be produced within the USA. Respectfully, MJ Morrow

  2. Wags, I saw your reply so hear it goes :) 1. I'm not sure if you plan on having access panels as an option to open, but if so and it happens to be the .50 Cal panels....they need to be larger and the long panel longer. I hope you can see the difference. The long panel is suppose to extend a little over to the aerilon. 2. I must say, the landing gear doors are almost a dead match to the SIG prints I have. Though there should be a small space near the upper door. I've attached #2 a real photo and screenshot side-by-side. 3. The wing root on the trailing end needs some flare. It can be done by a 2d texture, however, the problem is the part above the flap. It's too straight. 4. Missing rod in the oil cooler shroud. 5. Missing panel lines on the upper oil cooler intake shroud. Including the access panels that need to be moved back on the underside of the wing. I've attached #3 a real photo and screenshot side-by-side. 6. Correction of the wing's leading edge lines at the bend. 7. There's other stuff, but I gotta have fun too. ;) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Tell your artist and modeler to keep up the great work so far.

  3. I plan to download some WW2 decals and pin-ups (the types put on WW2 fighters). May be useful to anyone interested in customizing their P-51 skin. Will be beautifying and tweaking in Photoshop (cut out / colour / etc.) Dunno how much interest there is in this type of thing. Post a quick message if you want me to continue or if you have any constructive input. :) All transparent backgrounds (PNG) #1 Decal 01 - 800x2000px - 0.8MB (Attached) #2 Decal 02 - 300x900px - 0.2MB #3 "Tail Wind" - 1000x2000px - 1.06 MB #4 "Thar She Blows" - 1180x2000 - 1.64 MB ______________________________________________________________________ #5 Nose Art from the plane of legendary P-51 pilot, John C. Meyer. I plan to create all the decals for John C. Meyer's "Petie 2nd" P-51. I'll see about attaching them to the same post, linked above. ver2: 2000x1836 - 0.4MB + PDF attached to post. This version has more authentic colors. P51:1127x250 - 30 KB + PDF attached to post. Side 1:630x250 - 7 KB + PDF attached to post. 4. Hi, It seems that I have found a little bug. As it seems, if I create a "Unit inside moving zone" trigger, it becomes instantly true, even if the set unit isn't inside the zone. It seems this happens only with ground units, with air units or ships I couldn't reproduce this behaviour. I have uploaded a simple test mission, which shows this behaviour. Thanks, John movingzonetest.miz

And also about Patches. And it contains info and even a link -you can click to download this! How about this?! You only have to do two clicks to get the new download!! - amazing! I think it's great ! 1000% better than before!:D

  6. Barrel roll. It's done while maintaining positive G all the way around. Been done in 707, Concorde, and Bob Hoover could do it while pouring himself a glass of iced tea. See the vid: I tried it and spilled iced tea all over my desk. :music_whistling:

  8. Ну по идее корованы для авиации главная цель. Это только Рудель на поле боя танковые корпуса громил. Нормальные люди бомбили штурмовали ЖД станции, поезда,склады.

  9. I think I figured why I can't get my "almost square" side panel near the oil cooler. The geometry towards the middle of the aircraft needs correction. Not for my sake seriously, but for a more accurate model. I attached my example below. In the picture you will see the following: Red lines acting as the location of the verticies now. Green and Yellow lines are a guess-tament based off actual photos. Blue line is where the UV Map is split. The black panel lines are my rendition and presumably incorrect, but this lower area of the model is making it a hard time because items are incorrect. The location of the original template's wing flair's panel line is in the correct location. But, the 3d model's wing flair does not line up with the rear of the canopy frame like in the photo. Along with that the little air scoops need to be positioned reward halfway. Finally, the 1st cowl flap is to long, the rotation point pushed backwards too and the area where the inside meets the external model needs lengthening and more depth inside. I understand a new template was released, meaning suggestions are being read/listened too. However, because we don't have an update *.EDM we can't really tell what changes were made physically. I noticed one new wire frame object near the radiator though. I hope I'm not being a thorn in a bush. Thank you for listening and creating such a great sim.

They look Outstanding and exactly what I hoped for - just like the falcon4 binder (Pretty mush the same size too being A5 Format.) Once I have them I will be ready to go :thumbup::thumbup: Stay Tunned. :joystick:

  12. I was thinking, at some point in the future, it will be nice to see adversaries. (I am sure I am not alone in thinking this! :music_whistling:) I have heard rumors about possible DCS German machines, but just rumors. I guess that we would need at least one form of BF 109 (maybe some type of G version, like Hartmann used) and one form of FW 190. For the BF 109s would it not be best to have a heavily armored version, for attacking bombers and a light armored version, for defending the bomber interceptor versions of the 109? I have also heard that there were versions of the 109 and 190 that could outperform the Mustang, in speed? One such machine was the 109k, I think? Well, I am sure that there will eventually be debates about balance and the coolness factor of super performing 109s, in the not too distant future, so I might as well get that ball rolling. What are the thoughts of the community or the developers, with regard to future Allied and AXIS machines? :pilotfly: MJ P.S. If all of this is already being discussed in a 1000 page thread, please direct me there! :megalol: P.P.S. P-47, B-17 and a B-24 machines would be a hoot!
