I dont understand, I look very carefully through the whole page, used the search function of my browser, etc and still cannot find any reference to a copy and paste unit function ??? Where do you see this on the webpage? thanks JEFX

I have another special request for the editor. I dont know if this is of general interest but I believe it is really a small thing to implement : is it possible to make the tools palettes (left and right sides) of the ME floating palettes so we can move them around ? I have a large screen and find myself constantly moving from extreme left to extreme right all the time?? thanks! JEFX

ME questions As far as I am concerned, there are two functions of the ME that are dearly missing and I really would appreciate if someone from the TEAM could answer these, please : Will there be a copy/paste function (essential in my opinion) in the ME? and for gameplay immersion : Will it be possible to print the briefings, flight plans and maps directly from the pre-flight briefing page? That would be so nice and realisitc.. thanks in advance!:) JEFX

sorry to bump, but anybody from the TEAM can answer this one please? thanks:) JEFX

Thanks CAT, I have been waiting anxiously for that function since LOMAC 1.0....

COPY function? This is all very exciting! There is only one thing that I dont see as a novelty and for which I was most eager... :music_whistling: nothing about a COPY function in editor???? JEFX

Pardon me if I dont find this info: I have been looking all over the net, but where did you guys PREORDERED the beauty? I would preferably buy IN or CLOSER to Canada if possible??? thanks JEFX

Thanks Lightning Unfortunately no. I have made the decision to go for a direct mode with the CH control manager and do all the assignations WITHIN LOFC2 as counseled by WAGS himself... That means a lot of programming (several hours) and it is now done and very flexible (because of differences between aircrafts). But that means that I cannot use the mapped mode (as I used to) to assign ''W'' for the wheel brakes on the toebrake axis... I am very surprised that there is no way to set this up within FC2 (I am pretty sure they forgot...) Thanks anyway! JEFX:)

where is located the settings for the different HUD colors (series)?
JEFX replied to JEFX's topic in DCS Modding
Blaze, That IS my question : can we adjust (somewhere) the parameters for the other colors of the HUD (the ones we cycle when we do RCTL-H????) thanks -
where is located the settings for the different HUD colors (series)?
JEFX replied to JEFX's topic in DCS Modding
NO I mean, where in the various config files or other are the parameters to change the assignements for what happens when one does RCtl-H? As far as I know, one can only change the default (starting) HUD color with the parameter in config/View/view.lua but I want to change all the series that occurs when we press RCtl-H. Any hint? I really looked through all the various config files and couldnt find it ??? thanks a lot JEFX -
?? Does FC 2 work well on Windows 7 ??
JEFX replied to JEFX's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Thanks for the advice! JEFX -
I am still playing on a dualcore and I want a boost in performance with FC2. I am considering buying a new comp and it is now Windows 7, does it work well with FC2 ? thanks JEFX

Thanks Nate, but it is not a Snapviews problem... I have the problem on the normal F1 view (even at game start, even before I hit the pause button...). The snapviews are fine (and in order to summon them I need to press num0 and then 12345 etc. Hitting Ralt+num0 saves the angles for the last view that one was looking at (num0+1 or 2 or 3 or 4). This is not my problem. ??:(

FC 2 , PROBLEM : SU-27, incockpit normal view turned a few degrees towards one O'clock ??? I have waited to post my problem here, and I have tried everything I can imagine... I have installed the combined mod (3Go SU-27, Gys F-15, Simmod A-10 joint pack) and at first, when I saw some strange artefact in the A-10 cockpit I uninstalled and installed each mod separately... Then, I dont know how, but when I tried to uninstall, Modman 7.2 gave me a long list of files for which it couldnt find backups??? :( Anyhow, I dont know if it is related, but the first time I fired the SU-27 in FC2, I found my normal view in cockpit (before I press pause to start) turned towards the right??? I looked through all config files and everything was as the fresh original files (I had made a backup)... All other AC are fine. Same even with all mods uninstalled. Any idea? Anybody having the same problem? thanks JEFX

Thanks, very interesting. Lets keep adding info here, it is a profound topic... JEFX

bump? :music_whistling:Anything from ED about this problem? I find it very annoying to land (with AFM) and leave my Hotas to type a stupid 'W' to brake... Is there a plan to implement a toebrake axis please? JEFX
-
That is well explained, thanks a lot! I have seen many examples of triggers, either on this forum or in the manual, but somehow, they always refer to some SAM appearing when Unit x goes into a trigger zone.... That is already great but can you guys give examples of other (more suphisticated) use of triggers? I remember reading in the early days of BS that those triggers could be used to simulate a moving front line (with different possible outcomes) and thus help make a campaing almost more immersive than a dynamic campaing (???). Can someone (Case, MBot?) explain how this can be done please? I have always been a big Mission building fan. thanks JEFX

I am new to the Triggers function of the ME because I skipped BS... I am back with this great community now with LOFC2 and I love it. I have a question : I read the manual and several posts, and in general, the concept and functions of the triggers are quite clear but I dont understand the concept of FLAGS ??? What is fa flag, how does it work and how is it used? Obviously we are not talking about a bit of colored rag respected by citizens of one nation...:music_whistling: Can someone explain to me what si it? thanks a lot JEFX

I have the same problem. I use an all-CH gear and usually I have been using the CH manager to do the programming of my HOTAS. It was easy to assign 'W' to the toebrake, although it was not an 'axis' but rather a crude brake. Now, for the heck of it, (and perhaps following one advice by Wags that it was far better to use the in-game profiler for each aircraft) I have been doing my programming in-game for LOFC2. The program works great! But... There seems to be no axis for toebrake and the keys list doesnt recognize the toebrake axis of the CD pro pedals as a key either... any ideas, Wags? Perhaps in an uncoming patch, these axis could be added? right and left independantly?:D thanks JEFX

the new website is up and running (not selling yet...) and it DOES recognize us. With my login and password, I got access to my old profile (that even kept in memory my Flaming Cliffs 1 purchase codes). There is some detailed info about the new product that is interesting reading! GREAT!

Barso, Welcome to this wonderful crowd of enthusiast simmers! If you are looking for mods, perhaps I can point you to a (rather oldish) thread that I had put together that has had some success, describing many good mods. Forgive me for the newer things are not included, since I have not upgraded the thread. Nevertheless, it might prove useful.:smilewink: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=28186 Cheers JEFX

:) Thank you Rooster... I know. I have been flying combat sims for many many years (and that makes me older but its OK... I was just sharing the (relatively new) pleasure I had to discover a very hardcore kind of flying. But you know, in the world of combat, if you can see your ennemy better, or if you can see the ground or air units better, it is great! (it is not cute scenery)... please lets remain respectful. But if you are flying with your head into the HUD, it is not so good... I just want to make the whole adventure evolve all together, no disrespect to combat flight sim intended! If Lockon Flaming Cliffs 2.0 BECOMES TripleHead2Go-friendly, it will be amazing for real immersive combat! JEFX

?????Flaming Cliffs 2.o and TRIPLEHEAD support ????? Dear Wags, Grove and the whole team, Thanks for this great piece of news! Long life to LOFC. I have been flying Lockon since day 1. I read each post and participated as much as I could for a long time in this forum. BUT... I stopped a year ago when I got my TripleHead2Go setup together... I had been dreaming at other people's screenies and really, when I first got it, I was totally amazed by the level of immersion such a grand sceen and scenery was giving me: (you can see my post on this topic http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=31499&highlight=triplehead where I explained how to set it up with the help of Joe, ggg87, Teka Teka and Ratcatcher). But after a while, I gradually left the game aside because of the difficulties generated by the visual limitations (due to insufficient resolutions in the engine). Even when tweaking the config file the way we explained, one still had to zoom out considerably in order to see PART of the flying instruments. And even so, you ended up lying with the head in the windshield... making it very difficult to look for ennemies in the sky... It was said later that Black shark would solve this issue. I bought Black Shark, of course!, and was very disapointed to see how much of the same problem there was. Oh Yes, they had incorporated a native 3824x1028 res in the setup page, but still, you had to zoom out to see something (which, by the way, has a HUGE impact on frame rates, unfortunatley making my rig unable to cope with the demand...). I ended up leaving both simulations on the shelf for a while and discovered X-Plane! I must say that it has been quite an experience, because I found that, even the simplest Beaver or the magnificent MU-2 Marquise were quite a challenge to fly, navigate with real life procedures and land with such a realistic flight model... And in terms of TripleHead2Go friendliness, one cannot find better : you fly in beautiful 3D cockpit but still the proportions are normal, you just see more scenery, more real weather, more mountains, on each side!!! (with no frame rates problem). Now, in my heart, I long for this kind of experience in Lockon... I dont think that DCS BLACK SHARK solved the very wide screen resolution problems AT ALL. My question is therefore : will this problem be addressed in FLAMING CLIFFS 2.0 ???? Besides, it will be good for widescreen users in general, not only TripleHead freaks... Thanks in advance for taking the time to patiently answer our questions and bravo again for one of the best customer service in the industry! amitiés, JEFX
