GREAT! no more problem. Solved! Fantastic. I will start experimenting with it, but I feel that your fantastic program will make me come back to LOFC. I have left it aside recently and I kind of really want to come back to love it again... thank you so much! JEFX
-
Thanks DoctorK I will give it a try just now. I was pretty much off line with too much work in the last few days... JEFX

Dear DoctorK, Just wanted to ask if there is any hope that you can fix our little problem (mentioned on the wrong thread...) http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=612724&postcount=20 thanks JEFX

Bravo again, DCS:BS is great (downloaded it the first day it was available in english). I have a question though : we got some news from MATT that the DVD version will be ready for march 09 but no news about the enhanced printed manual for purchase that was announced before Xmas ??? I remember hearing about early 2009 ? For my part, being a manuals-type of guy, I am very much looking forward to that manual to study the sim in depth wherever I travel. Thanks in advance for the update. JEFX

Hello Hannibal, You are correct about the 'black bands', because when you use Bezel management to link images, you move the image of the leftmost monitor virually to the right and the image of the rightmost monitor virtually to the left, therefore linking with the middle image without gap. The result, is a loss somewhere in the width of the images equivalent to the with fo the bezels... But, if you havent experienced it for yourself, it looks worse on a picture than in real life... The big difference is motion... When everything is right and you use it in the simulator (or any game, I use it with great immersion in FarCry2!!!), you forget both the bezels and the loss at far left and right, because the image moves. The only drawback with a TH2Go setup is finding the right snapviews in order not the get the bezels in the way, but it is quite easy. Hope this helps. JEFX

Hannibal, If this can be of any help, look here, I posted a detailed tutorial about Thead2Go: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=31499 good luck and dont hesitate to contact me, it is a great immersion experience once it is set correctly! JEFX

Many Thanks. ...until I look at the counter : below 20 KB/sec... (only one of the 2 files will take 3 days...:() and I have a very fast connection here usually... What's wrong ??? JEFX

X-plane 9 Personnaly, I think you are forgetting X-plane 9. It has, according to many pilots, one of the best FM (civilian) out there. JEFX

Is it true that there is no copy and paste functions in BS ME????
JEFX replied to JEFX's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Thank you! That is already much better then before. You guys are great! JEFX -
I read somewhere else that there was no copy and paste in BS??? It was announced a while back that there would be for sure and I personnaly thought that it was a must! In FC it is real drag to insert many elements (even a bunch of decorative aircrafts and ground vehicles parked at an airport can take half an hour to tweak one by one...) If it is true it is very disapointing:( for mission builders... Maybe the person who said that was wrong (please?) thanks JEFX

Finally : My new TripleHead2Go setup!
JEFX replied to JEFX's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hannibal, This IS the main difficulty with such a setup, even with TH2Go. The game is not optimized for such resolutions, therefore we look at the game with the 'nose in the windshield' and we need to zoom out a lot. With the zoom settings that I described in my thread 'how to setup TH2GO for LOFC' http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=31499 I can look down (with Tir or not, and YES I can see the stick and lower protions of the dash. I dont know how to post screens because those screenies are so big and wide...sorry. JEFX -
Thanks Rich (and littlejohn), I have most of Teka's mods but didnt know about the last one (Vehicle LOD distance mod)! It did help a bit, but still, I would like to know which param. to play around with it myself... It doesnt solve all the problem : now I the big square box becomes a vehicle at a mile and a half, which is better than before but still way too close, especially looking at it through a res. of 3840X1028...
-
Ironhand, Since you opened that topic, I have a particular problem which you might know how to solve : I have since recently this fantastic TH2Go setup and I enjoy it a lot, but, since I got it and started playing at 3840x1028 with the zoom pretty much maxed out, I get all ground units (military AND civilian by the way) to look like square boxes until I am very very close (less than half a mile...) Since one gets such a great visibility with 3 screens, it is a pity that, at a few miles out, I stare at this mysterious tank column and cannot evaluate which one is the dreaded Shilka until I am dead above it!!! Do you know which parameter in the config files is responsible for that? thanks in advance and thanks again for your fantastic tutorials, you are a great teacher! JEFX

Finally : My new TripleHead2Go setup!
JEFX replied to JEFX's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
''And I might do that instead of upgrading my video cards'' Hitman, I think your setup is strong enough, you dont need to upgrade your vidcard to to TH2GO. I had to because I was on one nvidia 7859X2 before, but with your SLI 9600 your fine. I think you will LOVE it! 'I have one question... can some of you that have TH2G and for example 3x22" monitors try if this works... tilting all 3 monitors vertically then instead of setting LockOn resolution to (3x1680)x1050 to have (3x1050)x1680? I am thinking if this works (if your monitor can tild vertically) there would be much less loss of top/bottom of the game screen and yet you still get very large display, and for the video cards it's same number of pixels to rended... so... anyone able to test this out if it works? 08-29-2008 02:33 AM Kuky, I cannot try this with the digital version of TH2go but I believe the analog version could do different combinations before... I think ggg could answer that one better since he played around with several combinations of resolutions. Matrox are improving their software gradually. Recently they introduced new resolutions for 3X widescreen. Maybe in the near future, they will support those kind of resolution proportions you are thinking of... You may want to write directly to their cust. support, they answer very quickly. For sure, you have there a very interesting idea, because I would say that this is THE only little minus of TH2Go setup, is the vertical axis being so limited. You end up playing around with your Tir in the vertical a lot. But in normal flying conditions, the wider X axis view is by far preferable and more like reality. JEFX -

JEFX replied to hannibal's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Hi! This set-up by Urze is quite stunning isnt it? It has more than 3 screens though. I just bought this summer the equipement to make a 3 screens set-up with a digital data splitter made by matrox called tripleHead2Go and 3 19'' digital LCDs and it works great. Here is my thread explaining how to do it if it can be of any use : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=31499 cheers JEFX -

JEFX replied to JEFX's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the good words ggg. After all, you are right : I got fascinated by the setup because of your original post. Before seeing it, I didnt even know it was possible! By the way, would you mind taking the time to point out for me the exact place or post where I can find the way to set-up TB with Virtual Pannel (networked)? I never succeded to make it work (maybe I didnt add the right config line, or I dont have the good version or profile, or maybe I didnt do things in the proper order?). I would appreciate very much (You can do it in a separate post if you dont want to change the subject too much... ) thanks in advance -
It just made me concious about how much I like to wander here everyday... I really missed it and was really worried...
