The two 680 is to get me by for now. Computer has been down for two months. Im on the fence with what im looking at. I like the Strix cards. The 480 is 1330 in boost mode around 220.00. The 1060 has 1873 boost at 260.00. Is it worth spending the extra 40.00. I think so but that on my limited knowledge.

Thanks Skatezilla I got SLI working but I do see a loss of performance with 4 monitors. Funny. I will go with on of those cards. Im in the middle of a business startup and funds are low. Is it me are does the smoke trails look different with the 680s

Well here is a funny thing. A good friend who owned a business built 4 computers. After a year he closed shop and had. He just handed me two GTX 670s FTW. If I can get the two cards to run in SLI this might be a better option. Ive never set up two cards before.

Well it seams my GPU has had enough. After some driver crashes the 7970 started giving my two red stripes on my screens. Now after boot up I get nothing. Im looking to replace it with this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126117 The 480 has a 1310 MHz core clock where my old was 950/1000. Plus more ram. Im running 4 monitors at 1680x1050 each. Im not looking to run maxed settings. Before getting this card I just want to make sure its better. Any advise will be good. If a 1060 is better at the same price range I'm not against it.

I want to create a mission the has 10 flags for tasks. What is the best way to randomly select one of the 10 flags but also have all flags eventually selected. Example Mission start flag 4 true /target dead/flag 8 true/target dead/flag 2 true next time Mission start flag 10 true/ target dead/flag 1 true/ target dead/flag 4 true

I looked and dont see how this could help. My computer has gone to 100% after opening helios. It has after opening firefox while DCS was down loading a traning mission,and while running Serif Photo Plus. I dont konw what else to do. Do I reformat again?

Thanks for the responce. BitMaster the first command gives me invalid parameters. I dont know if its because im windows 7. In task manager it showed, System 496K NT Kernel & System was at 99% I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO but I wont OC until I get a H100

Im having issues with my computer going to 100% CPU. This has happened 4 times. To give the story. I reformatted my computer in December of last year. I did this because of problems with NTTR map but come to find that VSync turned on made the sim load ground textures slowly. Last night I had DCS load the training mission for the SU25. While it was down loading I opened fire fox to look for videos on the SU25 the my computer went to 100% and had to force a shut down. Just A few minutes ago after flying for about an hour, I closed out DCS and changed my Helos profile from SU25 to the Mig-21 then my computer went to 100%. I have never had this problem before reformatting windows 7 64. I got the task manager open and show processes for all. System 496K NT Kernel & System was at 99 CPU all other processes at 0 Guidance and suggestions needed.:helpsmilie: The other two times this has happened was using a program PhotoPlus by Serif

I have had two driver crashes this week. 1st was A10 Georgian Foothills that I changed to night 2:00. It happened while using NVGs 2nd was Russian Foothills that I added in the weather cloud density to 9 and thunderstorms. When lighting flashed in front of me crash. Im running 17.1.1 radeon. I have had no problems with stock missions. Any suggestions on what to look for.

Bignewy could you explain more on the system managed pagefile. Is there a setting best for DCS

I jumped in to the A10 last night and flew 2hours with the CAS Infinity mission with no problems.

I just did a test with the Huey and Game froze.

I have just tried three tests. First was a cold start from Pahute Mesa. I took off and did a small left hand pattern. I landed waited about a minute. Took off again turned right and game froze. Second was from Creech with a small pattern and freeze again. 3rd I put some targets north of Creech flew out to the targets released one missile and destroyed the first target. Went to engage the second target and again frozen game. Not good.

Only tested A10C and Gazelle. Will test more tomorrow.

I did what you said and also a new saved folders. Cold start and before take off and turned on the two radios that I dont think are working yet and the game froze. I had to use the task manager to close. I tryed 5 more time and now things are working. If there is any other test I can do let me know.

With the latest update in of 2.0.4 Im having this issue with the Gazelle. From any airport with a cold start shortly after take off the sim will freeze. The first few times I had to use the task manager to close the game. But now it will pause for a second and some times more. This happens every time. I played back the track below and it did the same.

Especially those like me who enjoy night flying.To open the profile control center just click on the IFF Mode 4 light on the left side of the pilot panel.

Something like this. In the A10 at 8000ft im not sure that bullet damage will show up well in the TGP. Might be good in CA but dont know if damage would start to use up resources in the engine. I agree with the one post about at 90% damage armor still acts the same. If a target is hit with a missile it should blow up. If you have a gun damaged model maybe have it smoke a little with sparks and thats it. No explosion. But for now we know when a target is dead.

1st You can get better images to post if you hit print screen on your keyboard and paste it in ms paint. 2nd try the different alignment settings to see if you can get the image to reset. Happens to me. If that does not work remove the image by leaving the line blank. Then go to the toolbox and under panel decorations select user image. Drag that to the profile. Get the background image for that. At the top left of the profiler are two arrows. Use the down arrow to put the image to the bottom of all the layers. You will be able to resize the image.

Lion look at the profile editor and find your back ground and see if it is set to stretched. I

The KA50 is easy to fly compared to the Huey and MI8. When it comes to deploying the weapons it is very stable. It will take a lot of practice to hit targets with the Huey and MI8. I cant say anything for the Gazelle. I dont own it yet. I would start with the KA50 then after some time GET THEM ALL.
