  1. Updated to fix chaining voice commands when the root-level command has no text, and fix a crashing bug when viewing with VAC Builder.
  2. Added AJS-37 VAC profile, see original post.
  3. Updated with AJS-37 Viggen script. You can find the Viggen profile at https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=92591
  4. In other words, can I have TacView display the positions of friendly and enemy units in real time as I play a game? I think it would be a cool visualization for people to have when I live-stream my sessions.
  5. Figured it out. Disabling Instant Replay (f.k.a ShadowPlay) did it, as well as broadcasting. Basically all the overlay features. No need to uninstall anything.
  6. I've played with 1.5 and 2.0, it's 2.0 currently.
  7. So I picked up a new HTC Vive, and DCS World 1.5 looks great, except that in most every gaming session, after entering the pit, the game hangs and becomes unresponsive after some time. It can be anywhere between 2 and 10 minutes but inevitably the video will stop and the sound will just loop forever. When playing with TrackIR, the sim works perfectly. Other VR games, like Elite: Dangerous, do not hang. I'm using the "VR" graphics setting preset with 2x supersampling.
  8. Bumping this to report in. I purchased a PFC C2 for use with Prepar3D -- it works mostly OK (with the FSUIPC PFC driver), though some things could be better. Unfortunately I haven't found any way to get the throttles to work in DCS. DCS recognizes it as a USB HID device with 8 axes and a bunch of buttons, but other than the two-way rocker on the yoke, absolutely nothing has any effect in DCS or any other game not specifically developed to work with PFC hardware. :( Would love a way to bind my throttle quadrant axes in some aircraft...
  9. Hey all, I'm updating my VAC profiles for the F-5E and I'm wondering what the correct terminology a pilot would use with the ground crew to connect/disconnect the huffer and apply air for the start. I figure most of that stuff would be done with hand signals normally but they haven't added that to VAC yet so I'm looking to work with what I got :)
  10. The parameters in the DCS manual are 20° dive, 1500 AGL release altitude, 380-400kts release speed. From the TO 1F-5E-34-1-1: Safe escape altitude for a 20° dive at that speed range is 1300 feet. This makes the parameters in the DCS manual safe (not considering fuse timing, which is not modeled).
  11. The values in the video come directly from the DCS manual; presumably they wouldn't publish values that would result in you fragging yourself.
  12. Attitude indicator
  13. OK for kicks and giggles I used the -34-1-1 for the F-5E and ran the same bombing problem as in the table in the DCS flight manual: 20° dive 1500 ft AGL release altitude 400 kts release speed Mk. 82 I used the aircraft weight, QNH, wind, and temperature from the mission editor for the freefall bombs training mission. I calculated takeoff, climb, and cruise fuel burn for the flight to the target at a 5000 ft AGL ingress using the -1. DCS flight manual says it's an 80 mil depression, yet using the -34-1-1 I get a 102-mil depression. Maybe I got one of my (many, many) calculations wrong?
  14. The Mission Planning form they give you looks a lot like a 1040 form and basically lets you calculate a final reticle depression taking all factors into account. I'm going to give that a try and see how it lines up with the sim.
  15. Sigh, the target altitude is 1700, not 1200. I'll correct the video. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. The DCS manual only gives profiles for a 20° and 30° dive. I found a copy of the real -34 for the F-5E on the 476th vFG page, which includes extensive delivery tables, but the results differ. That same 20° dive, 1500 ft release, 400-knot release speed works out to a 120-mil depression with the Mk. 82s. Until I can figure out why, I'm not sure I can get accurate profile data for higher altitude deliveries. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. After much practice I finally got a perfect pass in the manual bombing training mission. I made an instructional video in case anyone else needed a little help.
  18. Is there a JSGME.ini file in there? Try deleting it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Updated with new version for those using BuzzBomb's Static ATC mod. See first post for details.
  20. Updated with alternate version for those using BuzzBomb's Static ATC mod (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=138994). VAC profiles will also be updated shortly (see link in second post).
  21. Buy the PMDG 737 (+ FS2Crew) or the PMDG 777, or the A2A AccuSim C172. Add in ActiveSky Next, PFPX+Topcat, MyTraffic 2013, and Ground Services X. Sign up for PilotEdge. Now you've got a world class civilian sim.
  22. Prepar3D 2.0 is out: http://www.prepar3d.com And PMDG support is coming in Q1 2014: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/426978-pmdgs-p3d-development-status-fact-thread-updated-25nov13/
  23. Updated for DCS World 1.2.6 and added the Mi-8. Changes: - Added Mi-8 - Support for "AWACS declare" - Support for both nested tanker/AWACS/JTAC menus when multiple units are in the map and also the top-level menus when a single unit is in the map. See the first post for details. - Tweaked some phraseology; review VAC profiles to ensure you're using the correct phrasing Download link is on the first post.
  24. Unfortunately Ricardo has specifically prohibited people from redistributing this mod outside of LOF. If you can't create an account on LOF then you're out of luck :(
