  1. I saw this interesting post. Here’s what’s happening to me. I do get the warning that says that the SAS is saturated. Then I get all this beeping noise. I’m trying to dive down towards a bunch of trucks when this happens, typically. So what am I supposed to do to stop the beeping? Thanks.
  2. What are you supposed to select for an acquisition source when you’re in the pilot seat and you’re using the gun to shoot at ground targets? It doesn’t seem like it gives you the choice of the pilot headset. That seems like the obvious candidate but it’s not presented as such, apparently. Thanks. Michael
  3. I am trying to do the training lessons in the Albatross. Is there a way to get rid of the Russian speaking voice in the training and hear it in English? Thanks. Michael
  4. Does anyone know the best way to use the radios in the Apache with Vaicom?
  5. Yes, I think he’s got it. Thanks.
  6. I just recently tried MIST and CTLD. I noticed that when using those scripts with the upgraded knee board, the information tabs don’t come up at all. It’s just a blank. Is there a way to make the upgraded knee board tabs show when using these scripts? Thanks. Michael
  7. I bought the kneeboard module. Most of the time, it does not let me switch tabs. Example, JTAC gives me some target location information. At first the JTAC page comes up and you can see all of the coordinates and other JTAC information. But, if you shut the kneeboard down, or go to a different tab, you can't then get back to the JTAC tab no matter what wording you use. "JTAC", "show JTAC", "JTAC Page," etc. etc. In other words, no matter what I say I can't get back to the JTAC page. I have selected the option that is supposed to do it with one word. Doesn't work. Thanks. Michael
  8. Yes, I would ask the same question. Would like to use encoder for zoom if possible. It works, but mine seems to be way too slow. Wonder whether there is a way to make the wheel move faster. Minor issue, certainly. But would like to resolve.
  9. In the ATT refuel day-time mission, the tanker won't lower the boom. He says "clear contact", however the boom is never lowered. Thanks. Michael
  10. These guides are needed for those of us who know how to fly but who don't have a ton of strategic experience.. Many don't need to watch an entire YouTube video. Just general strategy guide like this is great. Makes the single missions a lot less frustrating.
  11. I had trouble with the mission too. But I think my problem was a little different. I dropped a 38 right on them and it didn’t kill the manpad guys. What should I use for a weapon?
  12. You posted a link to Discord. The link seems to be outdated?
  13. I get my VR mic and everything going first. Then I turn on Vaicom. That red mic light in the right corner is always on. All the Windows settings are set correctly for sound and work fine. Mic is working fine otherwise except in Vaicom. Is there a way to fix this?
  14. It stopped crashing for a couple days but the crashes are back again.
  15. If you mean are my commands in a linked file, the answer would be yes. So I take it that REL HOT means the mic stays hot for a second. But before was different. I just said the word and my flaps came down. Instant response. No button fumbling. Can I get back to that?
  16. My VAICOM has gone kaput. I made the horrible mistake of moving all my Steam folders to another drive and now MANY things are screwed up. VAICOM included. In the good old days, when I used PTT before moving files, I always heard a nice "click" confirmation that I was using the radio. Now I get silence. What do I do to correct this? Also, on a more general level is there a file or something that I need to resurrect or to move in order to stave off more problems like this? As mentioned, moving the files created a host of seemingly unresolvable problems. Thanks. Michael
  17. Maybe it is my imagination, but it seemed that a few days ago my Vaicom Pro had a great feature. But I have no idea how it got there, nor why it seems to be gone. Specifically, a couple days ago, it didn't seem like I needed to press PTT to issue "in-plane" commands. Those are ones I wrote like, "Flaps Down One Notch," "Auto," "Frame 2") [that shows the exterior of the plane]. In other words, I could activate my in-plane commands without involving the PTT buttons. It was faster that way, and more realistic too since you wouldn't normally broadcast all your in-plane commands to the whole world. I moved some files around and now that feature doesn't seem to work anymore, assuming it was an actual feature. Is there any way to get this "feature" back? Thanks. Michael
  18. Guys. Resolved. It was in the joystick settings in Voice Attack. In the "Options" part of that menu they have a drop-down for the number of positions that you want the POV hat to recognize. You can choose 2, 4, 8, etc. from that drop-down. For some unexplained reason, the setting for the drop-down was "None." Don't know how it got that way, but that was the only thing wrong. In fact, every other button worked except the POV for the reason mentioned. Thanks for your help. Michael PS: I agree with MAXsenna's point about how you move the library. He says to move the files. But if you look at what Steam tells you to do, and what many tech articles tell you to do, it is to delete all files in the Steam Library except for three. The net effect of that (at least for me) was: a) I had to rebuild all files from scratch; and (b) the deletion apparently caused unknown issues like the one I had with my joystick. Regards. Michael
  19. I have a Thustmaster Joystick and I have been using the buttons on that to run my radios in DCS. I made the horrendous mistake of moving all my Steam files from one drive to another which has pretty much dorked everything, including my Vaicom Pro. I got finally Voice Attack to start up and I also got the Vaicom Pro profile to load. But for some reason, when I use my joystick buttons as PTT for the radio, there is no Vaicom response. It is as though I didn't push the PTT button(s) at all. Where should I be looking to fix this? Parenthetically, I would be real careful about a wholesale move of all of Steam files such as what I did. Many sites say that this is easy to do, and probably it is if you are pretty experienced (I'm not). I found it to be a disaster overall. Just me of course. Thanks. Michael
  20. No, the joystick, mouse, keyboard, etc. is all the same from day one. The only thing that is different was that I used Track IR before I got VR. I don’t use Track IR anymore.
