Are you going to add a 1st person pilot body with animations?
Hartsblade replied to westr's topic in F4U-1D
That's odd. On my system the pilot body is off by default and I have to switch it on to see it. I bound the command to an easy to reach while in VR key. I just reach out, find the correct edge of my keyboard and press the key. That being said I normally bind it to a toggle on the base of my throttle for easy access. However since in the current build that isn't possible I actually figured out a temporary key bind all on my own until the bug is fixed. -
Hey guys. Just a point of reference and information. I recently followed TallyMouse's setup guide in the attached video and my performance in DCS has never been better. Not ghosting or stuttering that I've noticed. Note about my PC specs. My sig needs updating. My current PC is a 9800x3d and a 4090. I'll update my sig shortly.

Nice work, have added these to my kneeboard. Thanks!

This is interesting. I have not been able to hook the cable at all using the instant action on Mariannas, but if I fly the training missions which Caucasuses I had no issue hooking the cable. Makes you wonder if it is some how map related.

One thing I did to at least help improve the sound was un-check the "Hear like in helmet" setting.

I wouldn't go that far at all. The module is certainly playable, I've had a great time so far. The frame loss, while noticeable, is not the end of the world.

In VR I noticed an overall performance drop with the Corsair compared to other modules. I'm chalking it up to the model still needing optimizing, Early Access and all.

Just don't use it...problem solved. -
Have you tried adjusting the trim prior to attempting to take off? Personally I fly with no curves or adjustments to dead zones or saturation, and while at first it might seem more difficult it does help me with input discipline. I have some friends that are "jet" guys and are excellent sim pilots, but they struggle with the warbirds. Maybe you just have a preference for the way jets fly and when the warbirds don't respond the way you expect you are disappointed. For me jets feel like they are on rails and mostly behave the same, but all of thr warbirds have some unique individual quirks and that's what makes them so challenging and more fun. There are a bunch of "how to" videos for the various warbirds, my suggestion is to check a few out. Forget what you know about flying jets, and give it a fresh try expecting it to be frustrating at first, but rewarding in the end.

To upgrade Pimax Play and firmware - or Not?? -Crystal - NOT Light.
Hartsblade replied to Peedee's topic in Pimax
You can still use Quadviews Companion if you are willing to re-install The QuadViews 1.1.3 API layer. With the current PimaxPlay and firmware. -
@Sr. check out Tallymouse's video, it is a great start.

Limited time: 15,000 ED Miles offer for DCS with the Crystal Light
Hartsblade replied to jaapgrolleman's topic in Pimax
How about a little love for the early adopters? I was in the first wave to receive a Crystal Light and have been an avid cheerleader since. Any chance we can claim those points? -
Thank you, I know, but the information in my post was misleading when it came to the use of Quad-Views 1.1.3 and I don't want to muddy the waters. Again, thank your so much for you work past and present.

@mbucchia and @jaapgrolleman Thank you for the help and information. I have edited my posts so as not to confuse anyone else.

@BIGNEWY I see from your screen shot that you have both OpenXR Quadviews and Pimax boxes checked under Dynamic Foveated Rendering. I'm not sure that is correct. I was under the impression that the selections were the first choice is obviously for QuadViews, but I thought the second choice was to enable Pimax's Foveated Rendering 2.0 (Fixed Foveated Rendering in case of the Crystal Light and Dynamic Foveated Rendering in the case of the Original Crystal). Therefore you should be picking one or the other. I could be way off base, so if you have any info or insight that would be great. EDIT: Here is a pic of my PimaxPlay settings. Notice that on your Original Crystal the Setting is named Dynamic Foveated Rendering and on my Crystal Light it is Fixed Foveated Rendering.

WHITE-OUT AND BLACK-OUT IN 8KX - ONE WAY HOW TO SOLVE
Hartsblade replied to WipeUout's topic in Pimax
Nice work! -
Thank you. Please let me know what you find out.

@Calvin.Pimax I wad wondering if you can shine some light on a lond standing issue where PimaxPlay needs to be excluded from Anti-virus scans in order to avoid ramped up CPU usage (even when the hmd is off or idle) causing higher then normal CPU temperatures. This link is just one example for reference.

I've been have great success with my Crystal Light and recommend it for wired PCVR.

I believe I saw a post that Amazon UK now has stock.

The update feature in PimaxPlay doesn't work. You'll need to download and update manually. Yes the new 90Hz upscaling is available for Crystal Light ad there are plans to add it to the Original Crystal at a later date.
