  1. @Dangerzone @Johnny Dioxin Have you joined the Crystal Light Discord? If not, I suggest doing so, there are Pimax Employees there that can check your order number for you and give you any information about your specific situation.
  2. Thanks for the info...added my pics to the thread.
  3. Turns out it is not just in VR. Here are screens shots from my Monitor. Kiowa vs Huey
  4. Just a little more info. This issue is happening on flat screen as well. Kiowa vs Huey
  5. Okay more info and pics incoming. I tested the Kiowa with both the Pimax Crystal Light and the Valve Index - present in both HMD's Tested in both PimaxXR and SteamVR I compared the Kiowa vs Huey for the screen shots I'll post below. Also the washout/bloom happens if you are looing out the open doors as well, so it is not the cockpit glass. I posted in the Polychop Kiowa Bug section and the developer seems to think it is not their issue, but an ED issue related to Multi-threading. Images are Kiowa vs Huey and 1st person looking right vs 3rd person looking right.
  6. Thanks for replying! I'm curious if it is a MT issue why the image in the cockpit would be washed out, but the 3rd person views would not be. Doing a little more testing the washout is also present when looking right or left out the open doors of the Kiowa, so it it is not just through the glass. Just to be sure it is not an HMD issue I tested with both a Valve index and a Crystal Light in both PimaxXR and SteamVR. I did get a couple of screens shots that show the difference of the cockpit view of the Kiowa vs the Huey as well as looking right through the door vs looking right in 3rd person.
  7. I do not, but will try later today. It was very late last night when I posted. Just a note. The on Screen image using a monitor is not experiencing the bloom.
  8. So the bloom is when looking through the windscreen. If I "stick my head out the door" image returns to normal. If I switch views via the function keys the image in 3rd person is correct. I don't suspect it is a gamma issue with my HMD, because it does not happen in other modules, only in the Kiowa.
  9. Hey guys, can someone with the Kiowa module take a look at this bug and see if you can reproduce. Basically the image in 1st person through the windscreen is blooming and washed out while all other views in 3rd person are okay as well as the mirror image on the monitor. I've tested in various other aircraft and it appears only in the Kiowa.
  10. I've notice some odd behavior with the image through the windscreen while in VR. When you first spawn in the image through the windscreen experiences a bloom in brightness and washes out the color of the image. It only happens in 1st person while in the seat(s), and if you change views to 3rd person outside the aircraft the image returns to normal. Also the image on the monitor is "normal" while the image in the HMD is washed out. I've tested in other aircraft, and have not experienced this in anything other then the Kiowa, effectively ruling out my HMD, hardware, or drivers. To summarize. Image while looking through the windscreen in VR is washed out. Only happens in 1st person VR. Only happens in in the Kiowa.
  11. I've been holding off on pre-ordering. So I'd like to thank all of the folks bitching and moaning, about an Early Access product, for helping me make up my mind. Pre-order complete. Looking forward to July 3rd, or whenever it may end up in my hands.
  12. Awesome, thanks!
  13. The Lenses I ordered are from honsvr. Should have them by the end of the week. https://honsvr.com/product/pimax-crystal-prescription-lenses/ Just a quick fyi. I was having comfort issues with my Crystal Light. The face plate/gasket is way to big for my face, so all of the pressure was on my forehead and cheeks. I solved my issue by using a 3rd party kit from Studioform. https://www.studioformcreative.com/product-page/pimax-crystal-light-pu-leather-fabric-foam-pad-ultimate-upgrade-kit
  14. I've been enjoying my Crystal Light for about 2 weeks. MRTV can be informative, but I find him to be a bit "click-bait" oriented.
  15. Sorry, those are per eye, over all resolutions. I edited my post. The native Stereo resolution is reported as 5760 x 2880. The Focal area that is 150% is ~33% of the image at the center.
  16. I'll see if it is in the logs later. But doing some quick math: 2880 x 2880 per eye = Native Resolution 4320 x 4320 per eye = 150% Native Resolution 140 x 140 = per eye 5% Native Resolution
  17. The focus is 150% of Native, while the peripheral is 5% Native. I'm using the Quad Views settings suggested by Tallymouse in his most recent video (linked below). Yes I am realistically getting 50-70+fps with the 4090 on average with the expectation that some terrains are better optimized then others, especially down in the weeds. Reference Video:
  18. I think you might find this usefull after you receive your Crystal Light.
  19. The inside-out tracking is fully functional, I did test it.
  20. Fellow Index users I've decide to move on to the Pimax Crystal Light. Here is a quick first impression I posted in another thread. I opted for the Crystal Light w/local dimming, Lighthouse tracking faceplate and no controllers. (I already have lighthouses and controllers from the Index). I also added the DMAS earphones for an extra charge. My initial impressions are positive. I have much better clarity and visuals, and with the Quad Views, and a few tweaks I picked-up from Tallymouse 's latest video, I've even managed a small performance boost. I'm running DCS with settings pretty maxed out, and both my GPU & CPU frametimes are in the mid to high teens on average with bumps into the 20's on those "unoptimised" spots all maps seem to have down in the weeds. The only downside for me so far is that it is not as comfortable as my Index was, but I'm working on that.

  22. The various Crystals have inside-out tracking like the G2, or you can add a Lighthouse tracker faceplate if you already have lighthouses. They also have built-in speakers, but I understand that sound quality is not great. I opted to add the extra over-the-ear speakers (for an extra cost). If you decide to look into the Crystal just be aware that there are a bunch of options, so pay attention.
  23. Tallymouse posted a very useful settings video for the Crystal Light.
  24. Saw this video yesterday and had some nice advice for setting up the Crystal Light for DCS. Used a couple of the tweaks and improved my performance.
  25. I just jumped from an Index to a Crystal Light. Very happy so far.
