I just did a quick comparison of the Mosquito and Spitfire and there is a huge difference in performance/use of resources. Below are two screen shots of fpsVR, one for the Spitfire and one for the Mosquito. All settings are the same, I dropped my usual DCS setting to the VR default just to be consistent Used Instant Action Takeoff Practice on the Caucasus Map Both Planes are in the original spawn location on the runway with the engines running One note I am using both the FSR and SharperEye Mods and if needed I will disable them and rerun the test let me know. Spitfire: Instant action-Takeoff Practice, Caucasus Map-Original Spawn Point Mosquito: Instant action-Takeoff Practice, Caucasus Map-Original Spawn Point It appears there is a huge performance hit. I hope this is helpful, and if you need more info let me know.

A year and still no VR optimization for The Channel??
Hartsblade replied to DirtyMike0330's topic in Bugs and Problems
I get steady 60fps except down low over large population centers, where I can drop into the mid 40's. -
Bringing this thread over from the General Mosquito forum. The default view position for the pilot in VR is misaligned.

Left and high on my Index as well.

Yup need to re-paste/install the openvr.api.dll from FSR 1.1. The patch has copied in the original version.

Thank you for clearing that up, my mistake. I will edit my post. Looking forward to the Corsair either way.

The Corsair will be released released with the current damage model, which is the same as all current War Birds. The damage model in the quote is currently under development and will be first released with the Mosquito. After which all aircraft will need to be migrated to the new system. My information was incorrect, please see the post below. See this post for ED dev quote related to new damage model

What GPU do you use? If AMD, Catalyst can display fps as well as GPU frame time.

The Channel/Mosquito discount for the map ends September 9th, that is when I expect the Mosquito to hit EA.

If this question is for me... I don't have 3D printer, but you could print them. I got mine from a company on ebay. Double mount link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224263575669?hash=item3437269875:g:3YsAAOSw0iRf4A3B

Tried turning off the sharpening in FSR as well, and while I gained a few fps, visually I found it better with the FSR sharpening on 1.0 So for now I'll be sticking with both Sharper Eye and FSR using the setting above with MSAA x2. For anyone one the fence, I would suggest at the very least give Open FSR a go. It's a nice performance gain and visual improvement with sharpening on and MSAA x2.

Thanks, I'll give that a look.

Well down the rabbit hole I went... Okay had some time to play today and this is what I ended up with... I'm now running both the Open FSR 1.1 and speed-of-heat's version of Sharper Eye. My settings are below along with links to Open FSR 1.1, speed-of-heats version of Sharper Eye, and a link to his guide as well. Very happy with the results so far. Nice upgrade in both performance and imagery. ** @speed-of-heat if you prefer me to not list your links here please let me know and I will remove them ASAP. Open FSR 1.1 https://github.com/fholger/openvr_fsr/releases speed-of-heats version of Sharper Eye from his awesome guide https://forums.eagle.ru/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=203708

So I'm trying out the GitHub version, but after going through this thread I'm not sure which version most settled on, the GitHub or Nexus version?
-
I'm with you on this, not generally a mod fan. With the exception of SkyrimVR I run vanilla all day long. That being said, got curious enough to look at this today, and there is a measurable improvement. Going to need to play around a bit more, but for now I fly with it enabled and see how I feel after a few hours of stick time.

Can't really blame you for a Pickard Freudian slip

I don't think this is correct. In this video, starting at about 8:05, Kermit Weeks describes the engine torque on takeoff and how he would manipulate the throttles to counter it
