  1. Ok.... retraced back to Youtube, and found an interesting link..... http://www.marketmats.com/ check it out for yourselves. It looks like a scaled down version of Lock On, but I doubt its the same thing. Maybe the same engine. The handling looks frighteningly familiar. -Andrew (Revalence)
  2. It does look exceedingly similar, save for the HUD and clouds. Truly, that looks just like the original LOMAC! Amazing! I'll try to pinpoint the maker in the meantime.
  3. Don't forget it's thrust to weight ratio 0.87 (its quite horrendous, compared to 1.12 for F-15C). But then again, more fuel equals for fun! :D And it doesn't hurt to have 12 pylons! (Think! 12 R-27EMs!):) -Andrew (Revalence)
  4. It comes to very sensitive pilot when piloting the Su-33 (assuming you don't fly with Arcade Flight options). Firstly, the Su-33 actual operational G-limit is +8 Gs. It is not recommended to overcome +9 unless in dire situations. It's empty is a whopping 40,600 lbs., which leaves much to be desired in terms of turning performance against most modern fighters. This turning capability is on par with probably a F-14 (43,735 lbs empty). It really isn't a surprise. Since it is designed as a maritime defender and fighter aircraft, it is designed with more fuel, and of course, two more pylons. Furthermore, the thrust/weight ratio is a measly 0.87 compared to the F-15C's powerful 1.12. With full payload and fuel, as Crunch said, it can be a horrible performer. Most missions are performed fine with 75% fuel and modest payload. -Happy Flying Andrew (Revalence)
  5. Try holding Alt first, then Space and hold both for about another two seconds or so. That did the trick for me. But as GGTharos said, yeah reinstall it, it could've gotten screwed up one way or another. -Good luck Andrew (Revalence)
  6. *Cough* Slow AND smoky! Curse those C-17s! -Andrew (Revalence)
  7. All the launch weapons on US Aircraft is Space+RAlt. You can configure the joystick or the keyboard on the Controls Tab of the options menu. Otherwise, when pressing SPACE, that only is cannon fire for US aircraft. Good Luck and Happy Flying! -Andrew (Revalence)
  8. LOMAC and FC2 work perfectly fine on Windows 7. In fact, Windows 7 is much more optimized for LOMAC and FC2 than Vista or XP (How the OS contols the RAM) -Happy Flying! Andrew (Revalence)
  9. Thanks! -Andrew (Revalence)
  10. Yea! 234,509,098 (Hope thats the number of people who play Lock On!) -Andrew (Revalance)
  11. Hi everyone. I've recently used the eFA mod, and for some stupid reason, I didn't save my script. Can someone send me the script folder? Thanks all! -Andrew (Revalence)
  12. Is that a new F-16 model???? Anyways, the progress is unbelievable! Curse this REP giving system!!! (Sigh.... only one) -Andrew (Revalence)
  13. Really, the F-15C isn't that hard to use. It just takes a different view of perspective. Yes, of course you can't master it in 2 hours or such, but it takes some primitive steps to achieve the basic combat needs and surely, your own combat style will evolve out of it. The F-15, firstly, is nearly as maneuverable as the Su-27 and equal to the MiG-29 (almost). For me, try to dogfight first, and then dive into BVR. Dogfighting really improves your missile evasion skills and is helpful when developing your own tactics. And the DACT missions are very helpful when training. Just pop right in and have a down-to-the-dirt dogfight with MiG or whatnot. Plus, I've never taken a peek in the F-15 manual, and I'm fine with blowing aircraft out of the sky in the campaign. Oh, an if it really is impossible, focus on the Su-25T. It'll let you appreciate the F-15's maneuverability. -Andrew (Revalence)
  14. Excellent! Those last 3 picts w/ the F-16 were stunning! Can't wait for it! -Andrew (Revalence)
  15. Wow! Stunning! I love the water effects in DCS A-10! -Andrew (I wish I could take screenshots like that!)
  16. Hehe. *Charity Starts at the Joystick!* :D -Andrew (Revalence) Nice ones Mushu! Gotta love the F-15E! (Even if they aren't edited)
  17. I would go along with everyone else. Get a i7 with a LGA1366 socket, however, because these have better tech support (then LGA 1156), is ugradeable, and has up to date drivers provided by Intel. I have a i7-870 at 2.93GhZ and that gives me enough performance for A-10C. That cost around.... $250. But if you want a similiar performance, get the i7-950 or i7-920 ($200). Plus, if you want to optimize it more, you sould get DDR3 RAM (1333) and at least 4 GB. And don't forget to get the right socket in the motherboard. But from past experience, DCS A-10C and FC2 are much more reliant on the GPU then on the CPU. You don't need two overclocked i7-980 Extreme when you have a Nvidia 6600. I would even it out, and go with your gut (oops, Gaming) instinct. -Cheers Andrew (Revalence) P.S. Oh, and on the Sandy Bridge socket, they look promising, so you could try that out. But even if they were great performers, the best of them would be a very large price for about a half a year from the release date, just like the i7 two years ago.
  18. Holy Mushu! Always superb screens, as usual! Too bad I can't give you any more rep! (A perfect day :..... DCS F-15E! :D) -Andrew (Revalence)
  19. Nice Mushu! Finally, someone notices the beautiful Mud Hen! Rep! -Revalence

  21. Awesome Tomcatz! While waiting for the file on LockonFiles........ ....... REP!

  23. WHAT??! That beautiful bird??? But its awesome! -Andrew
  24. Hey Everyone! Although I'm not new to these forums, I'm still quite a newcomer, and certainly not a veteran (still in my twenties). I'm more of a jet fan, and starting up in the KA-50 hopelessly confuses me. I live in Yorba Linda, CA but I'm British :D. I've been with ED since 2005 on Lock On and I love the series! I'm just waiting for DCS: F-15E.... -Andrew (Revalence)
  25. Thanks for everyone who replied! Whew! That takes alot of stress off of me to know that I don't have to upgrade a PC I just built 2 months ago! -Thank U! Andrew (Revalence)
