  1. Hi fellow Flight Simmers! I'm quite new to Flight Sims, I've only got about 3 years experience (I still can't start the KA-50 to save my poor life) and when I looked at the DCS: A-10C Warthog for Beta purchase, it said recommended specs were Core i7 950, 4 GB, and a Nvidia GTX260! Holy! Thats alot better then my system specs, and I quite worried if my system won't give good FPS. What is the regular FPS you get and with what equipment in the rig? -Andrew (Revalence)
  2. Awesome Perspective Pictures!
  3. AWESOME Work!!! I love it!!!!!! Keep up the good work! Oh, and is this going to be for FC2?
  4. Hey, GGTharos is quite correct. I'll try to put it this way. If a Russian PAK-FA were to be pitted against a F-16C Bl.52, its very obvious that the PAK-FA with stealth and AESA radar would win. However, replace the PAK-FA with a aircraft of the same generation of the F-16 (i.e. MiG-29 or Su-27) I would have to say, the F-16 would dominate over the MiG-29. This is just in account of the other features that come into play (U.S training budget, maintanence, etc.) Both the aircraft are evenly matched and superbly built, but in the end, the F-16 would win because of its exstensive training for the pilots, first-rate maintanence, and other stuff. This is just like DCS A-10C Warthog vs. HAWX or Apache: Air Assualt. Sure, DCS just isn't there at the level of graphical content, but you have to put into consideration: the number of ED producers and designers, the work hours they have, and of course, the popularity. If the whole world played Lock On like Black Ops or Halo: Reach, then it obvioiusly would expand ED. Then, after that, ED could grow enough to hire more and THEN, match HAWX and whatnot in graphics. But, still, there is even more factors into this. Think of all the features that DCS A-10C, BS, and FC2 hold over these arcadish, childish games: Mission Editor, Actually Realism, Physics model, and alot of flexibility into the game system. So, the next time you find a game for XBOX 360 or PC and it has amazing graphics, check and play first before comparing with DCS: A-10C, because in my opinion, DCS is going to be the best game series ever, because ED has masterminds that have planned out well how the games that we play and cherish are developed, and heck, THEY ARE AWESOME. :D Just my two cents, -Andrew (Revalence)
  5. WHOA! The Russians paid for THAT many Su-47s?!!! I miss playing with that model! -Andrew (revalence)
  6. Hello fellow flight simmers! I finished my first Lock On movie today. I was just bored yesterday so i created this short film. it took awhile-3 hours and it still isn't as good as I hope for:cry:. Anyways, I tried my best and I hope you guys enjoy! Oh! And youtube has deleted my audio, but I'll post it somewhere else sometime. P.S. I would appreciate any constructive criticism:helpsmilie: -Andrew (Revalence)
  7. Great work! It looks awesome! I remember the ol' F-15C cockpit with reskinned screens and whatnot. Oh, and by the way, will you use a blank spot in FC2 (if there is one) if you can (cooperative missions with F-15C and Eurofighter)? Keep it up!!! -Andrew (Revalence)
  8. Awesome movie! I could tell you put alot of effort into it! It has very good use of lighting and special effects. Oh, and I loved the parts with the F-15E. That was the only thing GA was missing from Project 10 :D. Best Regards, -Andrew (Revalence)
  9. You could also consider the Avenger made by the same maker of the MQ-1 and MQ-9 (General Atomics). http://defense-update.com/products/p/predator_c_avenger_180409.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Atomics_Avenger It looks quite promising, with a more potent payload and faster speed. Someday they will replace F-16s with drones of these!
  10. Hmmm.... i noticed CombatHelo has a very promising future for all of us who remember Jane's Longbow. If not for DCS A-10C, they might have of given us some competition!
  11. Oh! Haha! I'm stupid! I saw it in the Saved Versions Section. Guess i still have to get used to the new LockonFiles. Awesome model!
  12. Could you put it on a download file here? I can get the R-27ET, but no the ER. Thanks and great model!
  13. Answer: No, not really. WHOA! Is that DCS A-10C??! The only noticeable similarities are the rockets fired in the beginning. Oh, and if it is, is HDR on?
  14. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hope you get to ride a fighter aircraft, 'cuz I did on mine! P.S. It was a F-15A at Edwards AFB (Awesome bird!) -Andrew (Revalence)
  15. I would like the F-15E Strike Eagle, but that would offset the balance of Russian, American, European, etc. So, maybe a European aircraft, possibly a helicopter? However it would also be my wish to have official addons to some modules like for A-10C, the addon would be like DCS: Gulf War with new vehicles and maps, etc. Or like release the F/A-18 and have DCS: Naval and new ships and people on the deck on the carrier! Just a thought.... -Andrew (Revalence)
  16. Whoa! Awesome pit!!! Can't wait for it! Do you think the GPS down there could also work? -Andrew (Revalence)
  17. When your ignoring your calls from your boss, and your voice mail is something like this: "Uh. I'm sorry. I'm playing DCS A-10C. Call me back at- SAM 6'o clock!"
  18. Hmm... Same thing happened to me. I custom-built it also, but I apparently forgot to install my drivers for my i7 so I got really low FPS. Maybe you should check that?
  19. DCS A-10C Warthog! I didn't expect you until Christmas! Awesome! I get to treat me and my friends to an early Christmas gift! Thanks Wags and all of ED! With all due respect, -Andrew
  20. never thought about that but a great idea! We could seriously use a trainer. Maybe a naval one?
  21. Got my computer up pretty quick. Don't worry. I didn't forget about the mission:smilewink: -Revalence (Andrew) F-15C - Baz.miz
  22. Ok. My rig's down this week. I'll try next week.
  23. And if you've watch GA's excellent promo, Project 10, you can noticed DCS replicates the handling very precisely. So, my guess, if you're a weekend-warrior like me, it'll take maybe 2-4 weeks to master main avionics, good flight control and whatnot.
  24. I love the video! It gives me all in the world to wait for DCS A-10C. The only problem is when I download it, it goes extremely slow. I have a Core i7 870 processor, and my network is 100 megabytes per second. Is there something slow with the website? Just a question. Thanks.
  25. I had the same problem... in 2.0. Have you patched it to 1.2.1? I think the bug was fixed in the patch.
