  1. No, I assume. Remember? Based on Released marketing materials. Whereas you seem to pull it out of... somewhere lol. I only used your words against you to make you see how ridiculous your accusation was. What can I say, you arguing against my "false" assumption with your own "false" assumption is funny. But time to add another troll to the list. Bye.
  2. LOL, since no one will see the "final production TECS" for a while, you base your assumption on released marketing materials. And I thought I made it plainly clear that my assessment was based on assumption when I said "TECS is supposed to be around $200" Now the same "false" assumption would apply to yours. Did you get your hands on the "final production TECS" to know that it will have "more buttons on the handle"? And how can an assumption be false? LOL
  3. I'm doing this campaign mission where I have to kill 4 Mi-8 and I can't get a lock in any ACM mode unless they're right up in my face. He's doing it in F-14 but similar to what GR is experiencing below. So how do you kill them?
  4. Depends on what you mean by "there the same". Same brand, speed, and timing? Then should be okay. Matching means they're checked to be same speed and timing.
  5. In single player, you can fly around, shoot Vikhr and cannon at stuff. That's about it until it's fixed. Datalink doesn't work, wingman doesn't work, rockets don't kill anything other than infantry... Maybe more stuff to do in multiplayer.
  6. If Winwing keeps selling their Orion throttle for $236, and TECS is supposed to be around $200, I see no reason to buy TECS over Winwing. Winwing has far more buttons on the base too. Problem is Winwing keeps going out of stock... My guess is VKB already lost a lot of potential customers to Winwing.
  7. Updated 1-28-2022
  8. Again, that's what most people believes because they don't see the graph moving majority of the time until the task assigned to other cores happen. I just ran this test in DCS and you can see Core 7 and 9 were doing nothing. Then I pressed F11 and started moving around the map really fast and those two showed activity. Again, without SDK, I'm only speculating but my guess is those are related to preloading terrain.
  9. Core is a core. App doesn't care if it's physical or logical. Your task manager graph looks expected.
  10. DCS does use more than 2 cores. However, the task is split manually. Nobody other than ED knows exactly how it's split but something like Core 1 on Avionics, Core 2 on AI etc. So if the task that's assigned to Core 2 doesn't happen, it will look like that core is not doing anything. This is not just DCS issue. Assetto Corsa which people believe to be multithreaded does same thing. Below is my cores during Assetto Corsa. You can see that Core 6, 7, 9, and 11 are basically idle until a collision with an AI occurred which caused the small spike in the middle. And two of the cores are my VR compositor so even Assetto Corsa is only using 3 cores majority of the time. It is a lot of work to distribute tasks efficiently this "traditional" way. Also could cause bugs if not done correctly which is why many developers just cram critical tasks into one core. And assign some non-critical task that can't cause any conflict on others. This is why Vulkan is popular because it will handle the threading more efficiently and automatically through command pools. Slide 1 (nvidia.com)
  11. Few things you can do. Open the mission in Mission Editor. Check "Show Hidden". Remember the location of the threats. Real pilots would have these information. Order your wingman to engage air defense. If you're shot down, look at debriefing to see what shot you down. Download and install Tacview and analyze what went wrong.
  12. I'm talking about "Political Influence" on pop culture. Not what "Actually" happens in those countries behind curtain. They can't influence pop culture with "secret" operations. Officially, US never fought against Russia in neither Syria nor Afghanistan. List of wars involving the United States - Wikipedia North Korea is "Officially" supported by both Russia and China. And Russia is "Officially" standing with China regarding Taiwan. For game company like ED, dealing with the controversies probably is not worth it. Something as trivial as naming convention can raise issues in related countries.
  13. No it doesn't. Syria as you said is a civil war. US and Russia support different faction but it is not a conflict between US and Russia. And "Official" involvement in Syria for both country is to fight IS. Not against each other. And you're disregarding the very point I was making. So I'm not sure why you're quoting me.
  14. Everyone's aware of that as I already implied it. Keyword in my response was "Officially" Russia and US had conflict in my backyard if we count all the "Black ops". It's not about whether they were secretly trying to ruin each other or not. Political influence is dictated by what they "Officially" claim.
  15. They were not officially against each other at same period in Afghanistan. It wasn't a conflict between US and Russia.
  16. It's just my speculation but ED being Russian company with US following, they're avoiding regions that both side have political interest in. Korea and Taiwan for example.
  17. What threw me off in the first place was people telling me "If TGP can see it, then Laser can see it". This apparently is not true. TGP and Laser have different limits. You need to slightly bank away from your target to keep laser unmasked.
  18. I'm not sure what problems you're having but the terrain and cockpit should be balanced by default. This mod doesn't darken terrain. However, you can edit a lua file to achieve that if you're sure nothing's broken and you still want to change it. /Mods/terrains/Caucasus/shadingOptions/Caucasus.lua gamma setting on Line 7. Lowering it would only darken terrain surface. You would have to do this to each terrain.
  19. One of my peeves on this forum. People tagging and quoting your early post in an outdated/resolved thread.
  20. I'm gonna make this suggestion again because I think perhaps @lefuneste01 misunderstood. I'm suggesting to make it less work and less confusing. I see most of the confusion coming from people using different versions of the shader mod and 3Dmigoto. Just make 2 all inclusive versions. 1. Original 3Dmigoto. 2. Optimized 3Dmigoto. Take parts of Kegetys that you think has the most performance benefit and include it as one mod in this version. Then tell people not to use shader mod. It seems to me only people willing to edit ini and lua files are using this.
  21. It's counter intuitive but I have to turn Cursor confined to window "OFF" in VR options. Then use Alt+Enter to make it fullscreen.
  22. 107 million triangles and 27gigabytes. It would take months to clean up that mess. It would be more accurate reproduction but it wont "accelerate" the production.
  23. But is it smooth or are you getting stutter? I suggest getting benchmarking tool to check frametime like AfterBurner.
  24. The original. This is the original made compatible with latest DCS. I don't think Speed of Heat's version nor Simplex has conflict with 3Dmigoto? I believe the original full version is only one that has conflict. You already have all the files, I was simply suggesting to package it differently so it's easier for users.
