  1. I'm not trying to be critical either but I can't agree as that simply isn't the experience I'm having with 6900xt. And many others as shown below. All I can think of is perhaps you didn't have the correct settings for the card or had a defective one. Performance gap between 6800xt and 6900xt is much bigger than between 3080 and 3090. But much smaller price difference as shown by LucShep. $100 versus $700. 6900xt in my opinion is the biggest bang for the buck at the moment even for DCS. Remember I was comparing 3080 vs 6900xt because of them being in same price range. Not 3090. And total VRAM is more important than bus width. As being suggested in this thread, 3080's 10GB or even 12GB isn't enough for DCS.
  2. I don't run DCS in 4K but I'm currently having no issue whatsoever in VR with 6900xt. I don't use SSAO or motion blur etc but with most necessary settings at max. I am aware that for tier to tier (3080 vs 6800xt), (3090 vs 6900xt), Nvidia is faster. But I'd like to see DCS comparison in current pricing range (3080 vs 6900xt). And the thing I noticed is that AMD and Nvidia can't be compared with same setting. I was really disappointed at first when I ran 6900xt with Nvidia settings. For example, motion smoothing needs to be turned off for AMD etc so I'm not even sure if it's possible to measure the comparison in DCS. It'll be good regardless with both 3080 or 6900xt. Just offering another choice and decision is up to the OP. By the way, with 16GB VRAM, I do see 6900xt's VRAM usage per process going over 12GB even in single player missions. How does 3080 handle this with 10GB?
  3. You could get RX 6900XT for price of RTX 3080 or cheaper. You can also take advantage of Smart Access Memory by pairing AMD GPU and CPU. Because Lumen is software raytracing, not hardware. And I work with UE5. I'm assuming there will be a lot of titles in the future with UE5 in which case AMD would benefit more.

  5. Blurry one is with Albedo off. Sharper one is with 6x. Higher the setting bigger the performance hit but most people say about 1 fps hit at 8x.

  8. Full version number. It shows up on splash screen and also at bottom right corner.
  9. You need to tell us what version the Steam version is. The version number. Many of us don't use Steam and don't keep track of what version it is at.
  10. Do you have screenshot without the mod? This mod is simple texture swap. No changes to collision or tree models. I'm assuming this is the FARP. I don't have those trees with the mod.
  11. No, flying marshall radial until 10nm is Case III procedure. Not FB. But "what is Case III procedure" is not the OP's question. Why he ends up "port of where I need to be for the landing" if he follows Case III procedure was his question. Even Wags in his video ends up left when just following ICLS. Everyone suggested make compensation to the right. Mine was same thing. Especially on fast moving boat with high wind, I have to continue flying to the right which is pretty much the BRC in order to compensate. But it's getting tiring repeating myself so bye. /mute.

  13. I do. Just add 10' to FB. People above said "make continuous corrections to the right.", "You'll just have to "lead" the boat a little." I just said same thing. Flying towards BRC is my way of making that same correction.

  15. You need to fly the BRC with course distance of about 0.1-0.2 until about 3nm and then turn into the final bearing. If you chase the ILS needle and the carrier light from your holding pattern, you'll end up chasing the carrier into the BRC by the time you land.

  17. And it's not all units. ED changed some truck smoke back to old type. And those old smoke doesn't show on MFD. Armors and SAM smokes work fine.
  18. Don't install any OEM software. Just Nvidia driver and GeForce Experience. Afterburner only when you're ready to overclock.
  19. You can check by disabling the mod and see if it still happens. If they're trucks, it happens without the mod. And it happens on other modules too. As I mentioned on previous notes, ED changed some trucks to old smoke for some reason and they don't show up on FLIR. Try blowing up tanks or SAM.

  21. UPDATED TO V18 for DCS 2.7 3/31/2022 Updated for compatibility. ED made gun/cannon smoke very dark. Changed it back to bright smoke. A10C Cannon Smoke
  22. Just delete the /Bazar/shaders/effects folder from the mod. I'll update the file later.
