  1. Xoomigo,…I said it before but I will say it again. Your COIN tool is amazing! It works fast, reliable and is intuitive. Everytime I create a new profile for one of my aircraft I’m astonished by the possibilities….and I am sure there are possibilities that I haven’t even explored yet. I believe that your tool more than doubles the possiblities in Touch Portal with DCS. Perhaps the Touch Portal-company is interested in supporting your tool as well?
  2. Yes...I noticed the same. Quite annoying and a bit disrespectful. Nevertheless I liked the overall quality of the interview.
  3. +1 for visibility because this is a great episode. Learned some technical aspects of the AH-64 that I wasn’t aware of. Apparently the pilot is able to manually manipulate the angle of the horizontal stabilizer to change the pitch angle of the aircraft to assist when firing rockets. I wonder if this will be simulated.
  4. +1 I hope somebody at ED can confirm or disconfirm a change. I didn’t fly the Hind for a couple weeks so the difference in performance was very noticeable when I picked her up again after the update. She feels more sluggish when maneuvering and transitioning into hover.
  5. Thsi issue also exist for the MI-24....possibly for more aircraft.
  6. The A10 mfd’s are viewports..they are quite easy to export. AFAIK the Mi-8 doesn’t have any viewports so exporting the entire DISS-15 panel is not possible. However, I think you can export the values from the DISS-15 data windows to an external monitor…but not the entire panel. You could look into Helios and use the Capt.Zeen Mi-8 profile. You would need to modify the profile to only show the DISS-15 panel at the correct coordinates on your MFD monitor. I don’t think it is going to be easy….nevertheless an interesting idea.
  7. The issue appears to be addressed in todays patch: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/
  8. I don't think this is specifically linked to the F14 because I am having the same in the Mi-8...especially when flying over densely populated areas. I am using Track Ir as well. I have seen similar issues reported before going back to 2019: Edit: Apparently it's being discussed and worked on:
  9. I believe Kyle_Katarn created something like that...check page 1...he has included some pictures in his post. You can use these icons by macmade in Touch Portal as well...they look beautiful!
  10. Perfect!...Now it works exactly as I wanted...Thanks a million! Please correct me if I'm wrong,...but I suppose the Action change title needs to be: "${value:UFCCue1}${value:UFCDisp1}" Thanks again!...It's working great now!
  11. Hi Xoomigo, Great idea!... Although I only have a faint idea of what I just 'programmed'...I am glad to say that it works much better. The fields are populated more accurate and faster. I have created the same Events and Values for the other displays. The Option fields in the F18 UFC can actually contain two values: ${value:mgdc_fa-18c_hornet_st_ufc_option_display_1} = shows the value in the field ${value:mgdc_fa-18c_hornet_st_ufc_option_cueing_1} = the ":" when a field is selected How can I make sure that ${value:mgdc_fa-18c_hornet_st_ufc_option_cueing_1} is included as well and also updated automatically whenever there is a change? Thanks again for your help! I really appreciate your effort. kind regards!
  12. Hi Xoomigo, Thanks for trying to solve this with me. I have done as you suggested. First redownloaded en re-installed your package and DCS-BIOS. This didn't change anything in the behaviour. After that I put in a delay in the Event-tab to allow some more time to refresh. I had to increase the delay up to 3 seconds. And now it works much better. It is not perfect yet because of the delay but at least I can see the correct values on my Ipad. Good thinking!
  13. Great!..thanks for your suggestions. I will definitely try them out and let you know how it turns out.
  14. Hi Xoomigo, First of all, Thanks for creating DCS-COINS and enabling us to extract the DCS values to use with Touch Portal. I worked with your tool yesterday, followed the instructions to the letter, and everything worked perfectly. Great job! So today I started working on my first TP profile for the F/A-18 but I have ran into some issues. I was hoping that you might be able to point me in the direction of a solution. I have started with a page for the UFC: Whenever I push one of the Function Selector buttons (A/P, IFF, TCN, ILS, D/L or BCN) Touch Portal populates the green buttons with the content of the Option Displays in DCS via the following vallues: ${value:mgdc_fa-18c_hornet_st_ufc_option_cueing_1}${value:mgdc_fa-18c_hornet_st_ufc_option_display_1} It works okay for the first push...but when I push another button and the values change, they don't update/ refresh on my Iphone. For Example: - I push the A/P button on my Iphone, it activates the A/P button in DCS and the options displayed on the DCS UFC are also shown on my Iphone. - When I then push the ILS button on my Iphone, the values change in game, but not on my Iphone. I need to tap the ILS button several times before the fields on my Iphone completely reflect whats in the game. I hope I am making sense a bit and that you can help me find a solution. Please let me know If you need any additonal information. Thanks in advance!
  15. Hi Morrov, I had that issue as well where the cyclic in game would move a little bit every time I tapped the trim button. Turns out my Thrustmaster Warthog was not calibrated correctly. After going through a recalibrate using the Thrustmaster TARGET software it went away. I believe I read about this bug in another thread…I will see if I can find it.
  16. Since sling loading received an update recently,…does the Oilfield campaign work now?
  17. Well, according to user sLYFA, in another thread related to this issue, the way the AP and trim interact in the Hind is different than in the Mi-8: I tried turning of the AP entirely and indeed the trim gets more stable/ predicatable. I'm still not sure why Mil decided to implement it differently in the Hind and the Mi-8. Nevertheless,...I feel the Hind is better managable now with the updated trim system. Especcially combined with the default trimmer setting in the Special menu. If it feels true to life?...I can't say
  18. I just tried this and it works exactly as you said. Unfortunately flying without at least roll and pitch AP channels activated is even more unstable. I guess I need to train my muscle memory more in order to control the Hind like the Mi-8
  19. Thanks for your response.. Is this a difference between the two helicopters in real life as well or just in sim? So if I leave the AP channels off the trim would keep attitude without changing attitude? I will need to try this out.
  20. Anybody notice an improvement since yesterdays update? Personally I noticed a change in trim behaviour. The nose down pitch change that occured after pushing the trim button seems to be gone or decreased. But now I noticed a small bank to the right instead. Overall it feels like a small improvement but trim operation in the Hind is still not as precise as in the Mi-8.
  21. I feel you.........at least partially. I like the Hind as an attack helicopter but flying the Mi-8 feels much more gratifying. I can perform very precise (aerobatic) maneuvers in the Mi-8 and the Huey that feel impossible in the Hind. I believe the fact that the trim is not working properly is my biggest problem here. Whenever I want to maintain a certain attitude I push the trim button. - The Mi-8 maintains that attitude perfectly (with roll/pitch channel activated) - The Hind still goes slightly nose down or slightly right bank (with both roll and pitch channels activated) Do you notice any improvement in handling/ trim since yesterdays update?
  22. Yes!...these look great!...thanks for pointing them out. As soon as I saw them I put them on my desktop
  23. Hi, I just pre-ordered the Apache….but now I have nothing to show for it…probably for another couple of months. It would be really nice if customers that pre-ordered the Apache could already choose an official Apache wallpaper…some nice eye candy of things to come welcoming me every time I start DCS
  24. I know the developers are aware of this issue but I really hope this trim bug is fixed soon with some priority. Trim is a basic function in this helicopter that needs to work properly. I have seen it mentioned several times in different threads. This problem is making precise maneuvering very frustrating. The sudden nose down respons after trimming has caused me to crash already several times while trying to hover or taxi at low altitude. I’m confident the bug will be addressed but I hope that it will have some priority because it’s taking away from the fun of flying.
