  1. As trivial as it sounds, I hope this delay involves resizing the pilot/crew figures. The current size of the figures in the screenshots is off by a fairly large margin. I know....I know, this is a trivial complaint to some, but its really noticable and tarnishes an otherwise excellent model (and its not exactly hard to notice the scale issue).
  2. Hannibal, can you still buy the Suncom? How'd you get ti to work with a modern PC?
  3. Pining for the Majestic Dash 400 for FSX. It comes out early tomorrow!
  4. The pilot figures are way to small. Does that count as news or a pre-release bug report?
  5. Pilots are either way to small or the aircraft is to large. Looks weird. Lol Sorry, that difference is pretty obvious.
  6. I had the same question. I noticed this a while back.
  7. I guess tomorrow.
  8. Still works fine for me.
  9. Waiting to release the Beta so it can undergo more Beta testing before Beta release where people can Beta test it.
  10. What's wrong with that?
  11. What's the point of waiting to release due to bugs when the Huey is being released as Beta anyways? Lol
  12. Can I just install the new DCS World over the 1.20 DCS World, or do I need to uninstall it first then reinstall it? If I uninstall it, won't that mess up all my other installed purchases? **EDIT** Nevermihnd, I'm just gonna do a fresh install of everything.
  13. Not sure about the ATI offering, but my GTX 680 4Gb destroys all my other games at 2560x1600. A HUGE difference between this and my "old" GTX 480.
  14. Hey All, So I have DCS World, A-10C, BS, and CA all installed. However, they are all version 1.20. What exactly do I need to do to get to "fully updated" status? Is there an update for DCS World that will allow the other products to just be auto-updated to 1.2.2? If not, what do I need to do here? Thanks for your time!
  15. Agreed. I would easily pay for that upgrade.
  16. Have you tried lowering your memory divider in the bios? That might free up some room for OC'ing.
  17. I agree 100%. Unfortunately, we have to make due with what we have. If all the cores most of us have were used, we probably wouldn't have to upgrade for a decade. lol
  18. Hehe :) I saw a reference to the resolution in a forum where the individual had a 15" monitor and a site with some wallpapers, but that is it. It is the elusive resolution. lol
  19. Some initial reports show some of them ocing extremely well. IIRC, some person in the HardOCP forms got oc'd to 4.8 on air and it was very easy. Others expect 5.0 as a potential possibility. I am definitely looking forward to getting my paws on some of these. If these experiences ring true, I wonder how this will help DCS : A-10 and FSX. Good times ahead. :)
  20. Where do you see that reolution listed there? I used to own one of the most prominent retail mainstream CRTs available (4:3 obviously), 1900x1600 was not a resolution on that CRT, nor the other 5 CRTs I purchased new way back in the day, nor the Viewsonic I have on the floor here. It isn't standard in the FP2141SB or PF790, both were solid CRTs back when they were prominent. 1900x1600 is not 4:3 aspect ratio. You may be able to set a CRT to that, but I have never seen or heard of it as a standard resolution. It deviates from a standard aspect ratio. I'd be interested to know what model of CRT the OP has. :) *EDIT* Yes, quite off topic (sorry, OP!!). I have always been interested in various displays, CRT and Panel. Wish i could find another FP2141SB. I loved that thing. :) :)
  21. 1900x1600 was never a standard or "common" resolution here in the U.S., not on classic CRTs either. lol CRTs were predominantly 4:3 aspect ratio.
  22. 1900-1600 resolution? I have never heard of that.
  23. I use Monoprice. Is the link you posted the same as this one? http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10428&cs_id=1042802&p_id=6904&seq=1&format=2
  24. Active Display port adapters are about $30 each online. Is it $100 each for dual-link? *EDIT* I found the dual-link adapters online for $60 each.
  25. You may want to read what I posted again. ;) My quote above was referencing the value of the 6950 over the GTX 570 as noted in the "AMD Radeon HD 6970 and HD 6950 Video Card Review" at HardOCP. Here's a quick breakdown: F1 2010 - 6970 beats the GTX 580. 6950 beats the GTX 570. 6970 beats GTX 570. Civ V - GTX 580 beats 6970. GTX 570 beats 6950. 6970 beats GTX 570. Metro 2033 - GTX 580 beats 6970 by 2 fps. 6950 beats GTX 570 by 1 fps. 6970 beats GTX 570. Battlefield Bad Company 2 - GTX 580 beats 6970. GTX 570 beats 6950 by 1 fps. 6970 beats GTX 570. Mafia 2 - GTX 580 beats 6970 by 1 fps. 6950 beats GTX 570 by 1 fps. 6970 beats the GTX 570. So, in conclusion: GTX 570 wins - 2 6950 wins - 3 OR...both are close enough to eachother that it doesn't matter. :) Hence the quote, "In all of our tests, the new Radeon HD 6950 either matched or beat the GeForce GTX 570". lol On a side note, I encourage all people to go to HardOCP for non-BS reviews of PC Hardware. They are a great group of people and actually play the games. :)
