  1. Well after some testingm Ive got everything nicely working now. 30-40fps Enabled GPU scaling on the monitors through CCC that removed some of the screen stutter with different screens. 4x MSAA now working, and got my mirrors back. It was helios eating my fps. a good 10-20fps loss when using Helios :( ah well, come back to it another time.
  2. Welcome to the issues with 3 monitor viewports. You need to use one only that spans the total screen resolution to get around that. See PeterP's posts on multimonitor configurations.
  3. Hmmm, tempting. So tempting.
  4. Great info. I wonder if this has been my issue with noticing the main center monitor shows slight stutter, DVI Whereas the two side screens(left and right) appear alot smoother, DP ports. Then I have my dash screen with helios on HDMI.
  5. Mm this is interesting, I'd sell my 7970 and consider this if I can get my MSAA settings, cockpit mirrors etc back for that much improved FPS. especially with the resolution Im running at which is lower horizontally by 3x vertically to your settings. Any chance you can throw another monitor into the mix to test 3x1 for higher vertical resolution. What improvement but TSSAA apply anyway?
  6. Exciting news. Can they address multicore support also? My last understanding was only two core support was used? This would assist with particle effects also wouldn't it?
  7. Eyefinity or SoftTH ? Vsync on in CCC ? I use the latter so not sure how it works with eyefinity. Set your maxfps in .cfg files, and try DX Overrider if all else fails ?
  8. Just saw this, but I'm at work and can't test. Anyone tried it? Im not a fan of cartoony effects; but interested if it can boost other shader effects. http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/sweetfx_shader_suite_download.html
  9. I went from a i7 920 @ 4Ghz and 6970 to my current i7 3930k @ 4.6Ghz and 7970, and I would estimate the performance gain was 25-50% more. Bear in Mind the 3930k has similar specs to the 980X but has more bells and whistles. If you can't afford a massive upgrade, look around for a cheap 980X
  10. Do you find any improvement or negligible? At 2XMSAA jaggies are only slightly improved; oh wish I could use 4XMSAA.
  11. Interesting you have disable aero enabled. I believe with this option I need aero on for fullscreen and SoftTH to work correctly.
  12. I actually do run a 7450 on the other PCI slot for a 5th monitor that I use for desktop work. I was reading that this was actually worse off when using SoftTH? Might try it when I get time.
  13. My mistake; that would have been the beer overriding my brain input :) I meant 13.2 :pilotfly:
  14. Hey Mustang, long time no see. Hope to get on comms soon, and fly some with ya and the old crew. I didn't think of that. CCC has MSAA as a default from memory. 4x MSAA was just what I needed but took away the fps I needed for smooth play. I'll give that a shot and let you know how it goes. Should CCC be enhanced or override mode? I assume you mean in CCC that application setting is still used, but adaptive instead of multi-sampling?
  15. Interested to hear what fps people are getting with Multi-monitor setups. I'm averaging 27-35 with the specs below. This is the best average I'm comfortable with for smooth simulation at airport, and over cities. If there's any mods that can add some improvement I'm all ears! I'd love to be able to apply some MSAA to smooth out the jaggies. All settings HIGH and other enabled except below: Civ Traffic MED MSAA: OFF HDR: OFF Tree Shadows: OFF PLP Monitors all 1920x1200; also dash 23" 1920x1080 24" - 27" - 24" ----- 23" ------ Total resolution approx 4362x3000 AMD ATI 7970 3GB Catalyst 13.7 Beta (Application settings with slight tweaks and 10% pwr up) i7 3930k @ 4.6Ghz 16GB Corsair Vengeance watercooled W7 64bit Intel 520 SSD :joystick:

  17. After some thinking and re-reading I believe its shorthand abbrev. for "Hard as possible". I thought at first it meant High Altitude Performance, etc.. but it didn't fit with the action required. Eg, recommit, throttle back, set mach and direct a "HAP" turn to bring the bogey back on the scope. Learn't something new , thanks anyway. :pilotfly:
  18. I'm hoping someone can assist, I've been reading through some Intercept Procedure guides and noticed the reference of initiating a "HAP turn" into the bogey or to a direction. I can't find anywhere what this abbreviation means? I've searched everything I have and google, but couldn't find it's meaning. Does anyone know? Any link to it's reference would be appreciated also. :helpsmilie:
  19. Has anyone managed to get gauge exports working for a Helios Profile with 1.2.3 and FC3? I've got A-10C exports working which is bloody awesome! and would like to get Helios working with FC3 F-15C too and other aircraft is possible. I searched through the forum but couldn't find a solution. :helpsmilie: :joystick:
  20. Excellent work, thanks very much. I don't intend to throw this thread off; does this work with FC3 F-15C? I've got A-10C working but unsure if FC3 works also? I can't find another thread that mentions whether FC3 exports work? If it does, I guess my Helios profile is wrong, is their a sample Helios profile to test with ?
  21. They were a good visual reference for pulling G when flying out of place. I hope they come back soon :(
  22. Seems really good so far; does any know why the wing vortices were removed and have not been re-added ?
  23. Nicely done, I use the Akers Barnes pit also. What I intend to do when time is available is to modify the monitor table and front dash panel so the front dash is true vertical and accomdates for a proper dash design with monitor for helios and proper positioning of MFCD's. Allowing for the seat to be raised with some simple modification would be nice too. Enjoy the pit !
  24. I noticed this also with combat pedals and in fact could see it occuring from windows game controller properties. If i stab the pedal it returned to zero, but often the right peddal became stuck just above the zero axis. All i did was added a deadzone from the windows game controller properties, or might have been saitek controller properties, cant recall right now, and all is fine now. Didnt have to edit game deadzone at all, i just added a slight curve for a smoother brake pedal pressure.
  25. Found the issue, although it would ne nicer to be smoother its better now. Somehow the update interval in the helios profile settings was set to '4', I raised this to 30. Now another thing is to get Dcs Easy Monitor config to get these export positions right without constantly fiddling with numbers. Working better now with PLP(P).
