Did anyone else notice the edge related config files in the lma directory. I've never seen them before in the folder structure with prev releases. I'm excited!

DCS 1.2.5 Released, Update 2 Released
_Dredd replied to SkateZilla's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Should your config work properly? Odd. 1920 + 485 = 2405. Yet your options.lua accounts for width of only 2400. -
Presently with SoftTH(which doesnt help a lot)and also VRAM around 5GB(I forget exact total). All maxed, mfds 512 every frame. civ traffic high, mirrors on, clutter 300m, tssaa off, msaa2x, HDR:cold, only cockpit shadows and fullscreen on. Vsync off. Triple buffer on. Average 30-35, Looking up at sky 110, Heavy action worst I've seen is 19fps. Over water around 40-50 and above. Single screen everything on and maxed, always over 60 viewing the battefield in first A-10C campaign mission, but 25-29 avg sitting on runway at start. I'll have to do a bench review for interest over the weekend before I reinstall everything due to new SSD drives. I also want to test out RAMDisk and RAMCache.

My average when I had the card was 29-30 and that was running 4 monitors. And that was on 1.2.3, from what is mentioned reported issues are still the same since? My old settings were, CCC all default, + 10% speed boost, 1025mhz clock, 1474 mem. 12.8 All maxed, mfds 512 every frame. civ traffic med. mirrors off, clutter off, tssaa off, msaa2x, HDR:cold, only cockpit shadows and fullscreen on. Vsync off. Triple buffer on.

Your catalyst control centre is all default settings ? And TSSAA is off in game and CCC/transparency antialiasing? I'm not near the PC but will check out this campaign mission later. From memory when I had the 7970 that mission did eat up a lot of fps when nearing the action, and even at the airport and traveling over water to the action.

As Kuky mentioned it seems some old particle effects and other things are still highly relevant on the CPU processing these. A barrage of rocket fire with rockets on SU-25 takes a hit on my system with the rocket smoke. Good thing is that the explosions and smoke seems more optimised now which is excellent. Rocket smoke and clouds can eat fps on occasion.
-
Nonsense. I ran a 7970 3GB and it had excellent performance. I've only gone to Titan for more VRAM (multimonitors) and the performance increase is perhaps 10-20% if that an improvement. EDIT: I should add I had a 6870, and the 7970 was a huge leap ahead of the 6870's performance.

[DCS World - A10-C] - RWR Audio Expansion
_Dredd replied to Tetra's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Nice, can you do this for F-15C ? -
Sry a quick question that maybe can be answered before I get through all the posts. Looking at bullet note one and the second last on guidance delay. Is initial drag off the launcher rail modelled dependant on target aspect? If I fire at gimbal limit is the initial velocity and drag modelled for this first flight correction? ..

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
_Dredd replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Missed you had a 4th screen( which is the 1280 you mention? ). But you still are missing the details. 2560+2560+2560+1280 = ? Ans: 8960 < -- outside right edge of all screens in total. You cant render outside this and expect to see anything. 8960 - 480 is your start point for right MFCD , eg. 8480. EDIT: Oh wait Im confused now, I'll stay out of it if you got it working :) You have a 5th screen of 480 pixels for right MFCD ? -
Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
_Dredd replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
You are rendering the MFCDs off the screens. Get a notepad and calculator; and draw your x, y monitor positions, and dx(draw x) and dy(draw y) overlay dimensions. Your right screen starts rendering at 5120. and is 2560 wide. So the far right edge of rendering is 7680(5120+2560); but you want the left MFCD to start at 7700 and go for 1200 pixels(off teh screen). And your right MFCD starts out of the ballpark; 8960. :pilotfly: EDIT: What Peter said above; read the guides. Draw your plans, it will make more sense than imagining your drawing. -
This problem I had in 1.2.4 also, so I don't think it's new. First I thought it was an issue with saitek pedals and how dcs sees the axis not returned to zero like windows does, then I thought it was turbulence/wind effect. Still have no idea what it is, but I still get it now and then in A-10C, and FC3.

Just saw this, might have to burn the wallet again. http://rog.asus.com/254802013/news/asus-rog-launches-raidr-express-pci-express-based-ssd/

I didn't see any problems on 51st server Friday night with 1.2.5 with abrupt pausing or bugs. There's some stutter but I've always seen this with my rig. Curiously I wonder if there is a vsync issue enabled in game even though I have it turned off. When below 60fps and vsync enabled I see trackir not as smooth and odd behaviour with fps, this is what. See now with vsync off in game and nvidia control panel. maxfps is 120 in graphics.lua 1.2.4 the view was a lot smoother, but in 1.2.5 fps, explosions, and frames seem smoother, and feels like vsync is enabled or some kind of frame rendering tweak has been added. With the stutters are people running in windowed mode or fullscreen? Vsync on or off? I'm only running FC3, A-10C modules on DCS World.

Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
_Dredd replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Fantastic once again Peter. Thanks -
Has anyone done this? I want to save my assigned hotas profiles for each aircraft, so I can uninstall and reinstall 1.2.5 then load the assignments back in without haing to reassign everything again from scratch. I got a feeling I. Just need to save my saved games/DCS input folder( though it should stay there if I uninstall? ) for when I uninstall/reinstall.

DCS 1.2.5 Released, Update 2 Released
_Dredd replied to SkateZilla's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Test , test, test! I'm looking forward to getting home tonight to test out 1.2.5, hope the hotfix is ready. Hoping Su-25 rocket attacks are a little more friendlier on FPS. -
triple monitors on a gtx titan.
_Dredd replied to Bandit.'s topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have 4 monitors running on Titan. There's a few others also. It will be fine, but expect frames averaging around 30fps mark with everything maxed. 6GB VRAM is needed. What are you using now? -

Are there any good cockpit warning sounds and engine startup/shutdown mods out there I've missed? Was just listening to this one on YouTube
