Its just possible to submit only one skin per category. So just one of those four of the set for the contest. I would really love to see the santa cat out of these four as submission to the skin contest.

both color birds and line birds are needed. Like the marines liveries. Anybody know why ED does both verions for the marines but just line birds for the Navy ones?

Maybe we can get an short feedback from an ED employee, whats their status of this topic. If they were planning adding more liveries to the game. Meaning creating their own ones or adding user-build liveries after a quality check to their module. Maybe doing a skin contest. Please somebody of ED. Just a short update on this, if its already on the Hornets roamap.

yes. I am aware of this section. Thank you for posting it and trying to help. I know you're good-willing. But unofficial local-downloaded content is not an option. Please stop always recommending the users files section. If I hop on in multiplayer in a, lets say Marauder livery, and hunt a, lets say Mig 29, the player of the Mig doesnt see me as Marauder. He is just seeing a missing-template-default-skin (Raging Bulls with some code on it). Downloadable content doesn't work in multiplayer. Also most of those community skins have no dynamic modex and quality check at all. So its very simple. Everything which is not included into the original game, DOES NOT EXIST. So please ED, add some more needed liveries to the Hornet. Maybe it is an option to include some skins from the download section which have dynamic modex and pass successfully through your quality check. Add "Adding skins" to the Hornets Roadmap please. Is this possible? Greetings

ISOKO, please submit your absolutely awsome VF103 2000 Santa Cat to the Livery Contest for the F-14B Category. And please submit also one of your skins for the A and one for the Viggen. You're doing an absolutely amazing job.

Ahoi, would it be possible to add some more liveries/skins to the Hornet? I mean especially Navy ones. CAG and ViViz ones for the existing ones and complete missing sins. Please ED, add some more liveries for the Hornet. Also maybe a bit more older, historical ones from the 90s and 00s We need the Marauders, Sidewinders, Dambusters, Gunslingers, Nighthawks, Sunliners,... as CAG HiViz and Low Viz. Aslo HiViz Ones to the existing Navy liveries. There is actual NO HiViz CAG skin for the Hornet at the moment. HB give green light that there were more liveries to come for the Tomcat. Yes, first I was also a bit disapointed. But there were replys to this topic in the official feedback thread. HB said there will be much more liveries and this is far from the final amount of liveries that will be available. The VF1 and VF84 were coming with the early A, due to they were liveries from the 70s around. The trailer seems to be for the A in general and not just the late A. Lets see what for skins HB added next to the late A. But I am hoping they wont forgot now about the B. Stay healthy :pilotfly:

There must be mixed up between the names. Both the AI and the Hb new one named "F-14A" The AI now uses the Skins of there HB B one. Please fix this bug in the next update. I think the best solution is renaming one of both. Or deleting the old AI. Its not needed anymore now.

Yes, I thought also there would be a new wallpaper which replace the old one. And the Module Icon would be renamed to "F-14A/B". But maybe this will come on a later patch. Maybe they split the modules into two icons with two separat wallpapers. Lets see. But hopefully they take a look at this topic.

Thank you very much for feedback. I am really looking forward and have now a good feeling about it. Good to know the chapter isn't closed with just four skins. Quality takes time. ;) I think the end product of the late A will be amazing. But please dont forgot now about the B. There were still some HiViv skins missing for it and I am still hoping for the VF103 2000 Santa Cat with the legendary "Seasons Greetings" Fuel Tanks :wub: If the complete skins were not ready until christmas, maybe just the two christmas skins (one for the A (VF211), one for the B (VF103)) could be added by a christmas surprise patch :music_whistling:

Hey, Thanks for the awsome work. Are there more liveries for the late A to come in future (officially by HB, not the Skin-Contest), or does it stay with this four? Aren't there more liveries for the late A in real life? Are those ones here early or late A's? And what about the legendary Gypsy 202 from 89? Early or late A? I dont know if those were early or late ones? If you know, please teach me a lesson ;) If those were early ones and will come with the early A its ok. So if there are no more other liveries in real-life (also no LowViz ones) then the four we have right now in DCS for A, its ok. My fault So I am waiting for the early A, the problem is solved and we get those ones along the Tomcatters, "Final Countdown"-Jollys, and so on. If those ones were late A liveries, and they are missing here, I am a bit frustrated and disappointed. The "bit" depends on if they were coming in a later patch or if this livery-collection is completed by HB. Then its up on the community to recreate them in the Skin contest. Lets see. Another Point: The Module Icon for the Tomcat for me still says : F-14B. Will this be changed to "F-14A/B" in a later patch? I also want to report a bug: There was an older F-14A (just AI) with very bad graphics. Its still there. If you place it, in the mission editor, you can choose the liveries for it. But those liveries seem not to work any more. Every skin you choose for it will be the HB VF-103 LowViz Skin for the B. Is this a bug? Must be if you ask me. But this old A could now be removed from the game in a future patch. Its not needed anymore scine our new HB A Tomcat. Thanks to all, the HB Team and the community. Yes, thats what I've mentioned. Now we need to find a way to get the most interesting ones into the game. If HB has no interest in redoing them, maybe IronMike and his team can contact the creators and they get a deal to add the most interesting skins out of those packs to the official module. I think ED also did some of those community skin contests in the past for the Anton. Please correct me if I am wrong. But if HB wants to create them by their own, please go ahead. Their work on skins looks awesome to this point. If it will be just around 4 liveries, I'd be happy with it.

Hey IronMike, big thank you for your reply and your feedback. There were lot of skins for the B which were not included by now, but I don't want to spam you, so I decided for just the following four liveries, which I think will round up the livery-offer of the B finally: 01: VF-11 Red Rippers - I think the head of the boar is so iconic and it deserves to be presented in color. 02: VF-32 Fighting Swordsmen - Same as the Red Rippers, this sword is so simple but at the same time so iconic. I really think we need the HiViz Livery. It also offers the No 100 as an addition to our 101,102 and 103. Would fit perfect. 03: VF-103 Jolly Rogers (Santa Cat) - I think there was also an early version of the Santa Cat in the 90s, but this version of 2000 has the legendary "Seasons Greetings" Fuel Tanks and looks just stunning. I think everyone will agree. To add such an iconic special livery of everyones favourite squadron really underlines the Quality and the Love to Detail of HB. Its November and Christmas is getting close. Adding this on a surprise update on Christmas Eve would be :xmas: 04: VF-103 Jolly Rogers - This is some kind of special livery, which I dont know much about. It seems to be from I think its last days. Maybe someone knows a bit more of those Cat and has some diffrent pictures. It seems that both the left and the right tail units have slightly different livery with different quotes. Especcially the left side (second picture) brings kind od conclusion to the squadron and sum up its history. The VF-103 for the B, the VF-84 for the upcoming A and to the even earlier VFs, which go back to I think WW2 era. It really looks cool and kind of Special. Really hard to find some information about it. Would be a cool addition to the first three skins in this list and would be a really special insider bonus livery which you definitely wont find in other Tomcat Sims. But if there were not enough pictures or knowledge about this livery, it's ok if you just give the first three livery suggestions a try. Again big Thank you. Really appreciate it. Maybe someone of the community aggrees or disagrees and have suggestions for other missing B skins, which were important for the Legacy of the Tomcat. I think some of those four livery were also designed by the community. Maybe you can get in contact with the creators and add them on next update to the official module, if you dont want to redo them by yourself. Of course after a quality check. Yes, its not visible to any other player on the server. So downloadable content is not an option. It must be official game content. And if it's not possible to make this field for modex dynamic then go ahead like HB did it with the Swordsmen. They made three skins for that livery. Add a forth and expand this multi-skin-per-livery for each squadron and its ok. Its not the best solution, but its better then now. The actual collection of B-skkins looks really unready - some Squadrons with Hi and LowViz, some with missing HiViz and just the LowViz, Some with multi-skin-per-livery and some without. This lack of quality is not what I am expecting from HB, after they did everything else with perfection. HB should just add some community skins to their modul. Its just a short simple Question. Please somebody of HB just answer with "yes" or "no". Are there more Skins/liverys in scope to add to the B? New Skins like CAG Birds and Santa Cats (High Priority to the Santa Cats)? More skins to each livery with diffrent modex like the Swordsmens 101 to 103? Could have have some hope? Or is the chapter closed for the B? Just a little "yes" or "no". Thank you.

I have and they look awesome but downloadable content is no solution. The liverys must be a part of the official game. This downloadable content doesn't work in multiplayer. Regarding the Modex number: I dont understand the problem. Yes there were variations on size, placement, and typeface. Just implement this into the game. If it's not possible like ED did it for the Hornet, then go on with more skins for each livery, like its already done for the Swordsmen with 101 to 103. My simple qestions are there more skins liveries planned for the B to extend the modex numbers for each livery? And maybe add som new liveries for the B in general like the Santa Cats, CAG Birds, ... Or is the B skin-wise complete? Maybe do a Skin Contest and choose the best Community skins to add to the official game.

Then remove the stennis from the missions and replace it by a diffrent carrier. Its not accurate size. It feels not right. Im not sure about you, but i love DCS for its high detail level and accurate standards. I love this for getting close to a 1:1 simuation. Having an unaccurate carrier didn't feel right, and is taking DCS a little step away from this hardcore accurate, love in every detail simulation. Were gonna get a SC Stennis and to keep a free to play carrier, the Carl Vinson could have an graphic update. This will give us also the CVN 70 number for out sandbox.

Hi, We have the F-16 and Nellis AFB, the Home of the Thundedrbirds. But wait, we have NO Thunderbirds yet in DCS to choose for a flight? I think this should be somewhere on top of the F-16 Roadmap to implement Thunderbirds liverys. Please also add some more nations liverys like Royal Danish AF and so on. My suggestion is a Skin Contest, where the best Sins of the community where choosen and implement to the game. The implementation into the official game is needed for multiplayer use and so on... Of course just accuarte and realistic, real-life skins for this contest. Thank you very much. Stay healthy
