You can use option 4 for : - add à new skin slot on a .LOM 3D model. - Clone a plane (like F-16, you have 4 models of the F-16 and only 2 3D models F-16A and F-16C have clones) - add new static objects. - add new countries. Little Note : CLSID Standart is an Hexadecimal coded key. It is funny to see that some moder created manually there keys for the skins (look Gy's F-15C) in the last colorsheme they used a key with ....JASDF.... inside J,S are not Hexa, but it works ! -

If the 3D models are the ED original models, the skins are at same place in FC2 as FC1. That mean Modman should replace the skins. It does not work for the new 3D models in FC2 like Su-25, KA-50 and many vehicles.

You must add a 3D cone in your 3D model (or à shape like the smoke (cross planes) or afterburner cone), than play with the animation (make it apear when your turning strong for exemple) You could also animate blinking NAV Lights (argument gears out = blinking lights.

Hi, I begun a Modder Manual Here in French, for FC2 and DCS/BS basicaly the moding princip is the same. It is not a waste of time. Many new 3D moders are searching the how to use the Ed's plugin or the list of arguments for exemple. You have also Ed's poor Wiki and there is also an old FC1 Wiki somewhere

First to do in the editor is to pull the new file icone to create the coalitions with Sweden then you can choose the planes. -
Hi, @NRG-Vampire : thank's for the link, I've seen some great F-15 skin's !!! For the moment, I'm trying to work a little for Batou's Afghanistan Mod, Some su-27 Skins and other stuff... But like in Germany the weather is so hot that we have to refresh us with à good beer, and than the work is delayed... :)

- First off all if you have Windows 7 place CDDS Studio folder on C:/ - Use a standart folder name (w/o spaces, dot or special characters) - Place all your textures in a folder (be sure of the file format and type BMP 24bits) Then use CDDS Studio : - Add the textures in CDDS Studio - Save the list (you must place it in the same folder as the textures). This is very important dont pass trought. Use the save icone. - Compile the CDDS -> Create CDDS. In the DOS window the textures are listed one after one : - if there is a problem with a texture, you will see it. - if not there is another problem. The main problems are texture size or type, folder/file name. Here is a link to a French tutorial (use translator)

Hi, You can't import a higher resolution texture in a CDDS, they must have the same size as the replaced once. You have to create a new CDDS with ED's CDDS Studio and create then a modman pack. The texture must have the same name as the replaced once. When you install it with Modman it will declare your CDDS file on top of the list in graphics.cfg and your textures are then first loaded.

Is it a question ? If yes it's the same procedure as for Topol-m's JASDF Skins read the thead from page #2. If the skin is not visible (that was the problem of Topol-m), it means that modman did not modify the graphics.cfg, this was because the .Cdds was already present in /Bazar/World. -
The F-5 is a old 3D model in .CMD format (look in bazar/world/shapes). The number of skins and the name of the texture files is coded in this .CMD file. What does that mean ? - You are limited and you can only replace an existing skin (texture). - If your texture has the same name, size ( ex :1024x1024) and format (ex : BMP) as the original, modman will replace it in the .CDDS. If it's bigger (ex :2048x2048 ) it will place it in temptextures. - It is only possible to add a new texture to the existing when the 3D model is in .LOM format. The skins are then listed in a corresponding .skins file.

I added the carrierlanding capability to the SU-25TM (Su-29) in Su-25TM.lua and... (replace the Su-25tm.lua in scripts/database/planes with the below one) su-25tm.rar

- Ranks (Grades) and Flags are done They are visible in the Logbook What I need now to complete the pack are : - Medals. You can also indicate 6 medals that could be used in game; - Squadrons (badges) and Names for planes and helicopters. This are the most difficult informations to find. - This stuff is only there to complete the Logbook, the mod is working without it and you can place planes/cars/ships/buildings in each countrie by editing the db_countries.lua - The new coutries are not in the standart coalitions (this is my choise), you can choose it when you create a new mission, you can also change this by editing Default_coalitions.lua in \BlackShark\data\scripts.

For the people ho dowloaded the last version Yesterday, - You could have an error #147, It could be due to an error in the add -db_countries.lua - The editing (adding stuff manualy) is case sensitive i forgot a ) braket - The pack is corrected and should be ok. Sorry

New update : - The list of countries is closed on my side (se the list on Message #1), you may add now your own countrie. - Ground troops vehicules. - Some squadrons & medals for the logbook

- The right method was not avalaible at release of the A-10. It was include in modman with the release of DCS KA-50. - Many modders dont know this methode to add new slots and many adaptations for FC2 were made too quickly w/o taking care of this. - The adaptation for FC2 of SimMod's A-10 was not made by them and the choise was made to reduce the list of skins i think.
