After the update, the radar in the F-15C went crazy. After switching to TWS mode, the target icon does not change after locking the target, there is no information about the speed, azimuth, height of the target. It is not known whether one or more targets are locked. The marker on the HUD does not show the actual position of the target.

How do you have the tanker set up in ME? If you have a route consisting of three points and two last points are the place where the tanker is to be available - WPT-2 and WPT-3, then on the second - WPT2 you need to set it to "Race Track" and not "Circle" with the height and speed parameter. Then it will fly from point to point. If you set it to the "last" waypoint - in this case WPT3, it will not fly between points 2-3. And if you have the "Circle" parameter set, it will circle around that point. The question is how do you exactly "described" the tanker's route.

But are you sure about what you write?

Damn... the F-15C... and the F-15A... yes, the F-15C retained bomb-dropping capability. But he never did... All tests, trials and as you say only a very limited group of pilots/version and version A planes were involved in such "tests"? Not a F-15C...

Look for the quote I posted earlier - it talks about "testing" and "data collection" at Kadena AFB, not training. Words confirming such information in the nineties I heard a lot from F-15C pilots. They were never trained in bombing, few of them took part in bombing tests and trials in the 1980s without any training - they just "on the go" took part in dropping bombs on specific training grounds in order to collect information and data. Each of them claimed that it was most likely connected to work on the F-15E. I spoke to at least 10 pilots of the 493rd Squadron, 48th Fighter Wing from Lakenheath when they were at the 28th PLM base near Słupsk. None of them had ever practiced dropping bombs from an F-15C, and none of them knew of any cases other than the aforementioned tests and trials at Kadena AFB and a few other locations.
-
Nonsense, nothing any training... Find a pilot flying the F-15A/C and ask him if he was regulary trained in bombing on this type of aircraft, whether in the entire regulary process of training on this type of aircraft at least one hour was devoted to practical bombing training, or whether he participated in "tests/trying" bombing. I wonder what he'll tell you...

"Can carry" not same "carrying"

Let's add the ASM-135 ASAT missiles, after all the F-15s in two squadrons - 318 and 48 were adapted to use this missile in 1988

In the case of Russian machines in DCS, the problem is that they are basically non-existent - relatively modern. And since there is no real module, such as the F-16, F / A-18 but "eastern", then as you write MiG-29, Su-27 FF would be most useful. The A-G issue in their case is a bit different than in the F-15A/C - MiG-29 and the more Su-27 were used to attack ground targets, and such elements were in the official training programs.
-
Totally agree with a minor exception - Why fool around with bombs in the F-15C after the release of the F-15E?
-
Wait, don't leave, maybe we'll get X-Wing or TIE Interceptor... And then it's just a step to Star Destroyer and Death Star...

What is avionics? Because as far as I remember, McDonnell Douglas probably didn't mount Norden sights on the F-15C to allow them to drop bombs? All in all, it can be assumed that the F-15C is a super universal machine, bomber, fighter and is also great for CQB missions and MOUT... After all, it has an M4 carbine under the pilot's seat, right?
-
I wrote what you can look for. I will give you a hint that just as the avionics elements were changed in it, the ECM was removed and replaced, like many other systems, with Japanese ones. You have access to the same internet - look for yourself. Its difference consisted precisely in the fact that many elements of the avionics itself as well as the ECM systems mentioned above were replaced/replaced with Japanese ones. Some elements were not needed by the Japanese, others apparently did not meet their standards/requirements. Find the details yourself. If you think that the F-15J, F-15K, F-15QA, F-15SA differ in markings only because the colors of the countries paying for them are painted on them and some of the instruments are described in the languages of these countries, then congratulations ... ...
-
And you want to bet you don't? F-15C and F-15J are completely different configured aircraft. Read a little - preferably in Japanese sources and compare them with each other. The F-15J doesn't have much in common with the F-15C other than the airframe, engines, and basic avionics. It has added completely new systems, such as those collecting data from the space around the aircraft, or just an expanded part of the avionics supporting the possibility of attacking ground targets. They differ more or less like the F-15E from the F-15QA or F-15SA. The difference is that the Japanese F-15j are more "extensive" in terms of avionics, sensors, etc. than the standard F-15C.

Is it an F-15C?
-
Although one of my posts about the F-15C is a post that starts a discussion? topic? I don't think. They are responses to someone's interjections about the F-15C. I can bet on that. Did I create a topic about the F-15C in the F-15E section? I do not think so.
-
That's why I avoid mods with a wide berth...
-
Show me where I wrote about the F-15C or did I post information about the F-15C in the F-15E topics? As far as I know, there are at least two sections with topics dedicated to the F-15C. And I probably discussed it there. Show me one F-15C video posted by me in F-15E threads? Here is place for this: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/63-military-and-aviation/

If someone equates SEAD with the ability to carry AGM-88, they probably have no idea what they are talking about...
-
It's just that this in no way applies to the F-15E and any other module in DCS ... Contrary to appearances, the F-15EX has as much in common with the F-15E as the F-15E with the F-15D ... So this not really a place for this kind of "information".

I'm not exaggerating. Do you want to fly planes and helicopters in which you will use "fantastic" rockets, cannons, bombs, etc. - "fantastic" i.e. those that specific planes and helicopters have never used / transported. I think that's how - you want to play some arcade game and not a simulation. The fact that, for example, during the Vietnam War, in order to balance asymmetrically armed aircraft, toilet bowls were mounted on catches or additional fuel tanks filled with concrete, does not mean that they should be included in the battlefield simulation, that supposedly is a DCS. Exactly the same, in my opinion, are the elements of armament that have not gone beyond the testing and trial phases for a given type of aircraft/helicopter.
-
Maybe that's why we're against it because we consider DCS to be a SIMULATOR of real machines and not a act up Counter Strike in plane.

F-15E an Air to Air aircraft? Okay, no more questions
-
The F-16 is the plane everyone knows about. But half of those who fly the DCS F-16 will switch to the F-15 as soon as the opportunity arises. Hardly anyone is as conservative as I am and doesn't buy an F-16 while waiting for the F-15E or F-15C FF. The F-15E will blow up the entire DCS world when it comes to balance - it will take over the dominance in attacking ground targets - only the A-10 can match it in this matter, and if be make honestly in A-A mode, it will dominate BvR combat in the same way. In capable hands, he should still at least be good at close dogfighting too.

I'd be willing to bet that it is
