I get the same error, even after reinstalling directx and c++ :( -
Interesting. Have anyone tried this modification of FSX? I'm really curious how this version is optimized, since there are few add-ons I really want to try. Once I installed FSX on my rig to test it and the frame rate was awful, the graphics were not that good compared to any other sim (BMS, DCS, FC2, Il2:COD, RoF) that run smoothly on my system at max detail level. And is any add-on that runs on FSX, compatible with Prepar3d?

Страшен пилотаж, браво ! :) You should do another demo using this skin: http://tranzit.dir.bg/load.php?id=xLOkxyUOoW8IeycT1172027

Autoscale of aerial units. It's really hard to spot them even in the highest resolution.

A P-51D??? Wow, just great!!! :( Looking at the screenshots where the Mustang fires at the Su-25 for me is the biggest mishmash in the flight simulation history... I know a lot of you guys are happy with this move by ED. I know a lot of copies will be sold and ED will have a good and steady cashflow. But for me, since the release of Lock-On: Modern Air Combat (the sim that I fell in love with), ED is going in the wrong direction. Since the great air battles between F-15, Su-27 and Mig-29, the accent in the simulation fell only on ground warfare. Even the ground units 3d models look better then most of the planes. And the choices of developed flyable ACs so far is pretty unpopular. And now we get this - a WWII jet fighter in modern combat enviroment. How come after years of flying ED products, I ended up spending more time flying in BMS then FC2? Hope better days come with FC3 and next DCS add-on.

Head-tracking 3D goggles in flight sims
Airbuster posted a topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well this looks interesting and might be fun to use in flight simulators: http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/05/sensics-natalia-head-tracking-3d-goggles/ Article says that it can also track your hands, so maybe you can use this method to click buttons in a 6 DOF cockpit envirimoent... who knows. What worries me is all that processor power so close to your head might give you a headache... edit: more photos here: http://24gadget.ru/gallery/index/slider/3028/1 -
Hey there Az, I really like your (and your team) work so far. And about the 3d cockpits - there are plenty nicely done freeware models of french fighters for FSX with 3d cockpits. Maybe you can contact the creators of this add-ons and ask them for permision to implement their cockpits in a future update of Ada Mod.

Here's some reference to BuAF ranks: http://vpzahariev.99k.org/LFRanks.html http://www.uniforminsignia.org/?option=com_insigniasearch&Itemid=53&result=1414 and there's rank patches also on the BuAF wiki page at the bottom http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulgarian_Air_Force

Great work guys, keep it up!

Alright, SUBS17 and EtherealN - you guys got me in to it. It wasn't that easy last time I was watching the training videos, but I'll give it another try :)

I agree with the most of what you have written. Yes, it's better to simulate everything in proper way and after you learn everything - it will be way more fun... except that not everybody have time to learn something so complex. I for one have to go to work and learn new stuff there, so I can keep up with the latest trends in my business. Also there's a college degree I have to finish some time in the future and require fair amount of studding also. Learning a complex highly detailed simulation of a combat plane is a bit too much for me for now. Maybe some time in the future, when I have more free time - YES, I definitely would fly it and enjoy it, but for now FC series give me everything I need - decent simulation of an flying inertial body and great graphics. And what's wrong with having 2 products simulated in different level for the different users? Why is not possible to have let's say F-16 in FC and in DCS environment?

That's a big hint here :) ? and: ....... Or at least that's my wishful thinking ;)

I will. I hate the complexity of DCS series and all that "reading manuals for hours" thing. This virtual clickology is pure nonsense for me. There are far more better things in life than wasting hours of your precious time to learn how to switch the buttons right in your virtual cockpit. All that matters for me in a flight sim is the flight model and some good visuals so I can feel I'm like in a real aircraft. Usually I fly fast jets but from time to time I like getting in the A-10A's pit and bomb the **** on the ground with it's slow speed handling capability. I will also like to fly A-10C in FC3 environment, modeled in the same simplistic way as the A-10A. Also I would love to see the F/A-18C and F-16C in a future FC/Lock-On sequel. For every Russian fighter plane there will be an American counterpart. Mig-29 - F-16 Su-27 - F-15 Su-33 - F/A-18 Su-25 - A-10A Su-25T - A-10C
