Mod for allowing you to drive any vehicle.
636_Castle replied to andysim's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I can't wait to try this in multiplayer. Make a run for it in the UAZ! :megalol: -
Plus isn't it kinda useless with a dedicated server system?

Anyone gotten this before? Two... Two... Two... Two... Two...

Attention users of the newly released Firefox 4.0, my computer was hacked using this browser in the past hour by means of Firefox and web proxies. I had just installed Windows 7 x64, and installed Firefox 4.0. While browsing YouTube I suddenly jumped to 75 Windows processes (from the normal 29 I run) and 80% CPU usage. Malwarebytes scanned and found 139 hijacker infections. Firefox's settings are now changing themself, and reconfiguring new proxies every few minutes. Just a warning to those of you using FF4.

I see the compass no longer bleeds through the panel. Never noticed the wingtips in the mirrors before either, like maybe they're dynamic to the view position now. The standby ADI seems changed too. :) I've noticed Wags never turns off the landing light though. Does it remain powered inside the wheel well?

I just want Nevada released, then maybe I'll start begging for some more ED modeled theaters. Remember Batou(?) is pretty deep into progress on his Afghanistan map. I personally didn't care for Nevada during the beta, but only because it was removed before they started optimizing frame rates, so I never got the chance to enjoy it. When it's released we'll have the best of both worlds: Red Flag ops, real world training/TP grounds, and an area for desert CAS terrain. I don't think ED has dedicated staff to work on theaters and release as DLCs. The Nevada DLC was unplanned (which also doesn't make it appropriate to charge some people for it, but that's another story), so future addon maps will probably depend heavily on the community. Which is why I get frustrated at the lack of an SDK for the talent here. :helpsmilie:

I think he might be accidentally using the NVIS lights on the left aux panel that light up the engine nacelles... "When I manually click the switch in the cockpit". uryiel777, like Nate said, there's no switch for internal lighting while using the goggles. Just turn them on and adjust the intensity as necessary.

Remember the training missions are only supplements to the flight manual. I'd advise you to get familiar with what "the little yellow arrow" is, and such, then fly the training missions. Did you first set up your ILS panel? (Power it on, tune your frequency, and set the final approach course?) You'll only notice a lineup on your HSI when on final approach, not when getting vectors to the airport from ATC. That'd be your AOA indexer. Up arrow means too fast/pitch too low. You want to place your total velocity vector on your HUD (the thing that shows you where you'll hit the ground at) on the threshold, and begin dropping your speed, while at the same time pitching up to keep your TVV on the threshold, until that yellow up arrow turns into a green donut/"o". That'll give you your optimal angle of attack/speed. If it's a down arrow, do the opposite. Increase speed, while pitching down keeping your TVV on the threshold, until you've got your green o. Just remember to keep your velocity vector on the threshold no matter what, and adjust your speed from there, while maintaining glidepath as indicated on the HUD, until you've got it. You mean the red/white lights to the left at Batumi? Check HERE for an explanation.

EA-18G's first employment...just another reason the 18 is so epic. :punk: Haha...that a SA-Galil?

CONFIRMED: Next aircraft will be a fixed wing US FIGHTER!
636_Castle replied to kingneptune117's topic in Chit-Chat
The absence of Naval doesn't mean it won't be Naval. According to your theory, it shouldn't be in any branch of the military. If it was Air Force, shouldn't they be announcing it as a US Air Force fighter if what you're saying is true? -

The F-15E has a rather long and detailed description in the DCSW encyclopedia. Only other aircraft with a description are previously flyable aircraft. ED hasn't bothered to model any other aircraft for AI before. Obviously it's an F-15E, much to my Superbug's disappointment. :( -
Holy ****!! ...so-long dozens of notebooks/notepads of scribbles. What an outstandingly simple yet effective creation. I suppose you just wipe off the ink, too?

It's SOP to disengage it at around 70 knots to prevent over steering/accidentally breaking it. I've heard people report they were unable to retract the nose gear due to disengaging it too late. The screenshots in this thread looks like he's having no problem at all lifting the nose, too.
-
This might be a no-brainer...but you did disengage NWS at or below 70 kts, right? :P

I always saw that "Check EO Time" message on the MFCD during the quickstart missions. Never knew why it alerted me before. Haha :)

Updating to the beta Nvidia drivers seems to be helping the effects.dll crashing, but now I'm getting crashes related to other dlls. Been using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 since the beta.

You call this a pea? ;)

Post a track so we know what you're doing exactly.

I just put it in semi mode, it picks an appropriate program based on the current threat, and then I start a dispensing program any time I feel it's necessary - either after a detected launch or when in range of IR SAM threats. Then I stop it when I no longer need to be dispensing. If the semi mode isn't getting the job done, or if I want to use a specific program, I just use manual mode and pick my own program. Pretty simple.

Enjoying some rockets I see? :D

Are there any working campaigns at this point?

Stupid is as stupid does, sir. :D

Somebody posted a modded first campaign mission in the normal DCS:W forum. It adds messages that show you when crucial mission triggers are happening and fixes airbase ops. Basically there's two columns in that mission and you'll get assigned to one of them. They start rolling somewhere around 20 minutes after mission start. If you contact JTAC before the columns start rolling, you won't get any tasking. It takes the columns I think 58 minutes to reach their targets and you'll get about 10% mission score for every minute you delay them BEYOND that 58 minutes. Also that modded mission fixes the other CAS flight of A-10s that is supposed to be airborn already which really helps you out. So get that modded mission, cause a bunch of delays in the column's route you're assigned to, and then don't exit the mission until at the very least 1 hour after tasking. You'll start noticing your mission completion goes up every 60 seconds or so after that. Also using the mission planner for a campaign will mess up your datalink.

After messing with it myself, something does seem bugged. The true runway heading at Batumi should be 130 degrees, yet it appears to be 120 degrees in the simulator.
