Fly heading 232 for 35, qfe 29.............
636_Castle replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I wonder if there's an LUA somewhere that'll allow us to fix it ourselves? -
Bahger there's an intercom control panel on the left console located behind the emergency flight control panel. One of them is labeled ILS. Another way you should be able to lower the volume is by right/left clicking the right knob labeled "VOL" on the ILS panel itself.
-
The volume knob isn't working whatsoever it seems. QFE is still broken too. Urggh :/
-
People have been reporting those texture problems on the consoles for a long time, along with myself. Another way to fix it is alt tab out and then back in. Was the electrical system fixed too?
-
Yeah that MLRacing guy was messing around with AFMs a while back. He also has a video of the Su-27 with an AFM.

I had 5, but then reinstalled and forgot to back up my logbook. :(

Ground units looking like Boxes until REALLY close
636_Castle replied to luza's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I prefer HDR off. It doesn't affect my target detection but it makes the green on my HUD and MFCDs a mint green which is unrealistic, and it makes skinning hard, because HDR tends to make it impossible to get a clean gray looking paint. They all have a purple-ish gray to them, with over exaggerated lines. -
Yeah..but the F-16 has a store option, where you can implement the last known alignment if the aircraft wasn't moved, and bypass those 8 minutes. :) (If you're in a hurry). Most of the time you slave the INS to the ship, and fetch the navigation data from the carrier. Or if you have an aircraft with a GPS coupled INS, you can do an inmotion align which is similar to an in flight align. In flight alignments aren't recommended because they restrict you to flying straight and level, in unaccelerated flight, and give you limited/inaccurate navigation data. It's mainly for abnormal procedures.

Not to mention takeoff data. But I don't think we're given a way to compute TOLD in DCS, are we?

Maybe at an unrecoverable altitude, who knows. Hopefully the extent of his injuries aren't serious. Here's another picture of the ruble from a different angle: http://www.airforcetimes.com/xml/news/2011/04/air-force-a10-crashes-in-germany-040111/040111-ap-planecrash-800.JPG

Why is my 9 line a 12 line? (not a lat/long)

A track would help too. -
Are you serious? Try reporting that complaint to an A-10A pilot. Are you really that dependent on the convenience of newer avionics?
-
I second this, since the actual A-10C tactical manual isn't available. Just some optimal attack profiles for guns, CCIP, CCRP. I want to get the most out of my weapons, and make myself a harder target to hit. Get some good threat synopsis stuff down, too. I like watching your YouTube videos because you're quite skilled at the tactical flight profiles, like you know something we don't. :D If this is a genuine offer I sincerely thank you btw.

I'm not a Ka-50 pilot, but I've messed around in BS a few times so I can answer your question on trim. It's a "set trim" button. You basically reset the stick's neutral position. So if you want to trim nose down, push on your cyclic, click and release "set trim", then release joystick pressure. That'll become your new neutral position. You're turning properly. Just bank, and use some torque pedal if necessary. Unless you're hovering, then you'd probably only want to use pedals to yaw around. And for slowing down, of course you're going to need to reduce power. You're not using that power to fly forward anymore, so instead you're gonna start to climb. Just remember to raise it again when you're nose isn't pointing up anymore. You might enjoy this guys videos:

It means: "There is now confirmed reports of the next DCS aircraft being an F/A-18!"

We were so close! Seriously though I'm glad we're being kept in the know. And I'm very glad estimated time windows are being given to us. Much better than showing up with torches and pitchforks. :P Nine new testers brought in? Awesome! -
Probably by this weekend. The description Wags put in his latest video says he's flying using the patched version, it just isn't optimized to run smoothly. So they should only have to clean up some stuff, and then it'll be out. :)

anybody has Threat Missile Padlock - seen - working?
636_Castle replied to majapahit's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
You probably have to be looking directly at the missile, and it needs to be within view, then padlock it. Just like with all of the padlocks. It's so that people without TrackIR or with limited controls can keep an eye on it, not a missile finder. ;) -

Fly heading 232 for 35, qfe 29.............
636_Castle replied to bloomstomb's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
GGTharos replied to another thread earlier today and said it was a known bug. I hope it's fixed in the patch, it doesn't sound like a major thing to fix. I'm doubting it though, if people have been flying around with incorrect altimeter settings through beta 1, 2, 3, 4, release version, and .6 patch. -
Imagine if those weren't training rounds. I never use rockets unless there's one or two soldiers that somehow didn't go down after Mk-82s landed near them. Even with live warheads in DCS, they seem to be less effective than training rounds. :noexpression:

Nice and soft looking. :P Well done there.

Check the attachment in this thread. It explains how in the bottom of that PDF.

Not necessarily. Don't forget processing power to run Windows. Quad CPUs have two dedicated cores to run it on. ;)

Thanks for asking this BoneDust, I was too scared ED would go Incredible Hulk on me. :D "Now don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you got 'till it's gone..."
