  1. That thing used to ALWAYS pass over my house :megalol:. // Beautiful? No contest baby! Ugly? Hmm...I think I'll stick with my purdy birds. ;)
  2. Windows default :) Keeps everything feeling fresh
  3. I was at an airshow a few weeks ago where a B-2 was making passes. The announcer was talking about the oolldddd technology of the B-2. It really does make you wonder what they're testing out there for the next generation. I'm seeing new propulsion methods on the horizon, and wayyyy more stealth. Check out this US Navy concept for a year 2025 fighter: And of course the unmanned X-47B which has plans to begin engine and taxi tests within a year from now: The idea of unmanned combat is ridiculous to me. Yes it keeps your county's army safer, but so does avoiding war completely. If you're going to impose your reason for war, at least be bold enough to fight for victory.
  4. I have the curse of short living mics....
  5. You can do the same thing in FC2...
  6. That's 1 AM for me! Maybe I could swing a few in. Let me know when you get to North America and me and my friend will meet up with you guys. :smilewink:
  7. This is really frustrating me. I'm doing some audio recording in Windows, and I'm noticing my microphone volume is WAY too low. Also, the headset is a little ghetto, and the mic hangs down kinda far. I've really got to get my input level up. I already have my mic boost in Windows maxed. So I need some sort of external software amplifier, or possibly a Windows tweak to allow the mic boost to go over 30 dbz. I've searched the inet up and down looking for an amp software. Does anyone know of one?
  8. When my activations run out for FC2...what exactly happens?
  9. Cool pics Blaze! Have you heard any news on their Phantom? That project seems like it's died... :(
  10. Wow! Just picked this up... This thing is so much fun. I found several real-life training videos of pilots being trained on how to fly the B-17. Not surprisingly, that's how I actually learned to fly this baby. Here's a few cool features I've seen: . FULLY interactive crew in each of the gunners seats and bombardier who can drop munitions. Co-pilot...and an engineer sitting in the cockpit with you. . Make sure you crack a window or get some fresh air going in the cockpit, or else the 3 of you will fog up the windows in no time! (seriously). . Crew can be told to handle cowl flaps, prop levers...etc. They'll also give you random comments to assist you like: "Your carb heat is gettin' a little warm sir." / "Tail wheel is down and locked back here!" (from the tail gunner). / "Did we even land yet? I never even felt that touchdown" :P. . You can get the mechanic to get an APU running for you (which I swear sounds like a water pressure-washer lol). The APU's engine will sputter and slow down as you demand more and more electrical power from it. . Totally modeled maintenance hanger where you can get the plane checked out, take a look at the crew chief's notes, and take care of engine/hyd fluids, engine cylinders, gear systems that need to be rebuilt..etc. Everything has hours that build up and save externally, including fuel and miscellaneous fluids that stay at the same levels you left them. So this is basically the closest thing you'll ever get to stepping into a RW aircraft, at least until the new DCS module comes out. But I have to say....A2A has really set the bar high for flight simulation! Here's a few pics and a video: I'm not connected with A2A at all by the way, I'm just having a hard time getting over how perfect this simmed A/C is haha. If anyone has specific questions about this fortress, I'll try to answer! By the way, the Accu-Sim pack is required to get all of the realistic features. $32.99 for the B-17G, and $29.99 for the Accu-Sim pack. A little steep...
  11. Holllly effin crap.
  12. Thanks guys, I think I'm starting to figure this out. I decided to give Server 2008 R2 a try. Wow talk about bare bones, but just how I like it! @KungFuCharlie I know you recommended Ubuntu, but I've been using Windows since the 95 days. Since the learning curve is already going to be steep, I opted for something I could recognize. Ubuntu does look cool though. Here's a cool eBook I'm reading right now that's helping me: http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/C/0/5C0BD0AB-040D-4C56-A60B-661001012DDA/Windows_Server_2008_R2_e-book.pdf Basically it seems like I create roles that are almost like categories, or roles of an aircraft (attack, bomber, cargo, fighter). Then I create a feature that adds a specific task to that role (Attack ----> CAS Mission.) Together I guess it makes sort of an advanced Job Scheduler you see in normal builds of Windows, designed for server tasks.
  13. Wow 45 posts and already 6 reputation. Plus 1 more coming you're way. Thanks for the great reply brother
  14. I'm more of a rock guy myself. :punk:
  15. So here's the gist of it. I'm working on setting up a home network on a dedicated machine to run a server. Which OS would give me the fastest server performance? It'll be primarily hosting web pages and dedicated gaming/VOIP servers. I've heard Linux is a great OS for beginners setting up a server for the first time, and is less prone to attacks. On the other hand, since I'm a W7 user, most of my dedicated servers would be for WINDOWS applications. Possibly I'd find something like Windows Server provided me with more app. support. (DCS.FC2.Steam.TeamSpeak3.WebForums.)
  16. Look at the nozzle position of the engines in the top link. I'd say engine failure.
  17. They've added that in the latest build. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJqTI9CFugw
  18. On? No off!!!!!!!
  19. CONTAINS FOUL LANGUAGE!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDxFW7-SecE :megalol:
  20. Looks like these crazy forums don't wanna work today. It'll appear whenever they fix their difficulties. Until then, here's a hotlink: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_J_Ic6txeM
  21. A little video I made while landing on the CVN. Any criticism is welcome as long as it's constructive :). I think I went out a little too far after abeam...
  22. WOW. Very HQ pics. You must have gotten in pretty early. I left my place at about 9:45, and didn't get in until about 11:30.
