North Korea shells South Korea w/ Arty - 11/23 DO NOT START A POLITICS ARGUMENT IN THIS THREAD, PLEASE! I saw this headline this morning, and thought it was very important news. I really hope forum mods and other forum members can understand I'm simply making it known, and NOT trying to get into politics. We all have flight suit collars here, not white collars. North Korea fired arty rounds on a South Korean island on Tuesday, killing at least 2 marines and sending civilians into a panic. South Korea scrambled jets, and returns artillery fire.

If you're going to insist on a fictional campaign, why not have it in a real war zone where the A-10 has actually seen a bit of action? Probably will never happen unless the extra development work is willing to be put in, but it'd be cool to at least see some more modern aircraft out there in the AI. Until then, I'm really getting a kick out of strafing with F-14 tomcats in the A-10 :P

Any chance we could get an early changelog like Beta 3? Thanks.

People have been asking for current era AI and theaters since Flaming Cliffs. I don't think it's even a consideration at this point.

Just practice visual landings as kylania said until you're a pro at it. Maybe actually fly the whole circuit and pattern though after takeoff, otherwise your initial approach problems will still be there if you don't practice those. If you noticed, the final approach course of 130 the instructor tells you to set is off by alot, which might add to some of it.

If there were holes on the bottom of the wing then MAYBE. I have a hard time believing some pea sized shrapnel could pierce the wings all the way through to begin with.

Haha this is funny, I just exited after a disappointing mission with the AFAC, same exact problem, decided to scan the forums and saw this. Yeah I just flew the mission called midnight train or something? I orbited for 25 minutes and all I kept getting from AFAC was "Thanks for the work, you may depart!" He DID mention some light armor once, but I still only had the option of "checking in" with him. Only time I got JTAC to work was when it was scripted and included actual recorded voice, and it wasn't the actual dynamic JTAC. Looking forward to trying out other missions though and seeing if it works.

I get it too. The damage isn't very dynamic. I also get bullet holes on top of my wings after a large explosion underneath me sometimes :D

polygonpusher, that is not the refueling fix. That is a shader fix that allows people to use the Nevada theater again.

Shu77, those are some awesome pics. Why don't you have your MFDs to the L and R of your monitor though? Would seem a bit better that way. :)

Here's a screenshot of my external IP provided by Comcast being scanned. The ports that are supposedly "open" according to Comcast are actually stealth ports, the rest are closed. (Green=stealth, blue=closed.)

I'm getting really fed up with my ISP (Comcast) right now. I've been having multiplayer connectivity issues lately, and decided to scan my ports to make sure they were open. What I found was insane. Only 4 ports of mine are open. I'm connected through a router, but I have my router set to open all ports 0-65535, and I have my router's DHCP IP it assigned me (192.168.1.100) set as a DMZ, so port forwarding should not matter. When I use probemyports service on my external IP assigned by my ISP, I see similar results.
