  1. Aiming high... I like it ;)
  2. You're very welcome, it is easy to support such high quality products.
  3. Very sad indeed but the old girl did us proud!! If only she had won the battle against the Boeing our airliners would have been a heck of a lot prettier. :music_whistling:
  4. Just purchased this and downloading now. It isn't something I'm massively interested in but they did such a good job with the Huey that I couldn't really pass it up now it's on sale. I hope this palava doesn't put ED off of sales as I wouldn't have purchased this otherwise. I'd love to see the sales figures for the sale as I suspect many people are in the same boat. For the sake of $20 I am more than happy to support companies that are proving to be a great influence on DCS: world. And thanks to the quality I am sure even I will get plenty of fun out of this anyway even if it isn't something that really does it for me...
  5. I don't think they should limit themselves at all, they have done a cracking job with their two modules so far, I would love to see what they can do with a fixed wing.
  6. Maybe because of the contracting replies such as the ones above. I have backed anyway for $40 but seeing as most of the good stuff is free for everyone, I already own the P51d and want the dora in World, not WW2... I'm not quite getting what I thought I was for my hard earned money is all.
  7. There in lies the problem... it is non official. And we were told that aircraft will be fully interchangeable so DCS world and WW2 versions should be exactly the same. The only reason I pledged $40 was to get the Dora in DCS: World and support this project at the same time. It seemed like a win win situation... It seems now I was badly mistaken.
  8. I think most people were under the impression we were getting that in the $40 pledge anyway... me included.
  9. Did it give you headaches at all? Just interested as I hate 3d movies etc with a passion but I'm very much looking forward to trying the rift. I don't get motion sickness so I'm not too worried about adapting to that but I am one of those people that cinema 3d gives a cracking migraine too. I was hoping the rift would be a completely different experience.
  10. Just give us whatever you can manage without stretching yourselves too much. I do agree with the person that mentioned we would all buy a B-17 anyway so don't rush that in the budget of this kickstarter, the mosquito might fall under that bracket also, get a nice base sim down first and give us things like that later when they will be even better for it. Edit: Person = Hans ;)
  11. I have been an early adopter several times and had this happen, no sense getting so worked up about it. I wasn't even going to buy the MI-8 but I will do now, I imagine many casual chopper flyers will be in the same boat. The extra revenue made from people like me will go towards more helicopter modules no doubt so everybody wins ultimately. If this kind of thing really gets to you... Just don't buy Belsimtek products early if this is the trend. Solved.
  12. No, they were just there to give the F-4 pilots the birdy.
  13. Haha very nice!
  14. Yeah I was the same... it kept me up far too late ;)
  15. Will be a shame to see the Dutch F-16's go, I guess we'll be needing an orange dragon F-35 now. Sidewinders...
  16. You're very welcome.
  17. Great news!! This could change gaming and especially simulation for ever if it works as promised!! Bring it on.
  18. I ran across this site by sheer accident, it has some incredible images I thought might be appreciated around here. I've seen many of them but some are new on me.... http://www.vintagewings.ca/VintageNews/Stories/tabid/116/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/325/language/en-CA/Lower-than-a-Snakes-Belly-in-a-Wagon-Rut.aspx Just scroll down and enjoy.
  19. Ahh it isn't just me that hates the way control devices are programmed in DCS then, good to hear ED are working on it. I have never got the controls exactly as I wanted, too often I find the input for certain movements/buttons isn't even detected. I usually give up in frustration.
  20. Well the thread started well at least ;) I guess we'll find out how representative of edge those videos are soon enough.
  21. That is one heck of a sexy jet!
  22. Lets hope so. And whether the WW2 sim is successful or not I hope ED continue to make WW2 content, they did such a good job on the P51 and that was just meant as a tech demo initially...
  23. It isn't ready yet so don't worry too much, it is nice to see some progress being made and shared with us, with new scenery around the corner and contrails/vapour beginning to make a come back, DCS world will visually be a new beast entirely soon which can only be a very good thing. Bring it on ED.
  24. Watch the F-18 take off at 00:49 seconds in, Contrails galore, amazing stuff. And the F4 at 34:50, very nice sight indeed...
  25. Yeah, an F-16c of that standard would be quite amazing. A Tornado would make a great module as well, especially when the terrain has been upgraded visually. Can you imagine screaming through valleys at 60ft off of the ground with vapour pouring off the wings... :joystick:
