    Eye Candy

A few of these from RAF Lakenheath have been dog fighting over where I live the over the past few days, great to see them sharpening up their A2A skills... I'd sure love to do it myself within DCS World soon... :music_whistling:

    Combat-Helo

That looks nice, I'm sure ED have plans of their own for an AH-64 at some point
  5. Not sure if this one was ever posted but I love it, with all of the great footage of F/A-18's around, they are quickly finding a place in my heart as a true favourite, what I wouldn't give to have a ride in one....
  6. Great stuff!!
  7. Saw this amazing video and just imagined how DCS could look once the fast jet modules start rolling out...
  8. DCS: F-18 can't come quick enough ;)
  9. I have track IR 5 but it drives me mad at times when it throws a strop, I'm hoping the rift will render it unnecessary by completely changing gaming for the better.
  10. Good points, thank you for the input. I'm still looking at plenty of different sets, I think as with all peripherals, there is no definite favourite as a lot of it is personal preference. I have realised a few don't cut the mustard though, please do keep the opinions coming.
  11. That's a nice solid looking keyboard. I haven't tried the brown keys, only red. I'd love to have a go before swapping if I do decide to though as the K70 is available with brown switches.
  12. I think it does have coloured and contoured keys as well that you can put on... can't see them in the dark though ;) Since getting a background lit keyboard I would never go back now. My corsair has 3 brightness settings, I use the lowest as it doesn't distract despite being blue. I think the red would be easier on the eyes. Also, The K70 has customisable light up function, you can choose whichever keys you'd like to light up, not just wasd.... In fact I've just talked myself into one lol. Up to you though ultimately, it would be ideal to find somewhere to try a few but that is generally easier said than done unfortunately.
  13. Ahh I see, thank you.
  14. "Advanced Visual Effects" Any elaboration on exactly what this may be? Full vapour, rain drops on the canopy maybe? Or is it more scenery related perhaps.
  15. I haven't heard of the K70 problems, I was actually thinking of chucking my K90 in for one even though I've only had it a short while so I'll look into it. I will say this though, I have used Corsairs DRM service twice now, they are probably the best company I've ever dealt with. They will send you a brand new one if you get a fault, it just means being without a keyboard for a few days if anything which is why I kept my old rubbish Cyborg evo. Their keyboards are superb, as is the M60 and M65 mice although they are a little small for my hands which is why I'm thinking of grabbing a Roccat Kone.
  16. What benefits does wireless actually offer? I can see them being a pain having to charge them etc. And is the quality as good as a direct connection, any lag etc? I do like the look of those Sennheiser PC363D's though after having a look at a few more.
  17. Thank you for the replies so far, I will go off an have a look at them all. I'm not really bothered about wireless set ups, I don't need one really. I figured the analogue connection straight to the sound card would give the best sound overall but I willl of course consider usb if there are benefits I hadn't considered. I have all of my sound (pc, xbox that i rarely use, blu ray player and tivo) running through an Onkyo amp with 5.1 surround if it makes any difference. I also have a Sound blaster X-FI Xtreme audio sound card to which my amp is connected by an optical lead. I'm looking at the corsairs mainly because I am slightly brand faithful and they have good specs for the price. I am more than happy to go with another set however so please keep the suggestions coming in. I knew this thread wasn't likely to get definitive answers :)
  18. Hey guys, Which headsets are people using? I am thinking of getting a set, pretty much just so I can get into multi player and also to game late at night with the volume up. I am finding myself drawn to these... http://www.corsair.com/en/gaming-peripherals/gaming-headsets/vengeance-1400-analog-gaming-headset.html The Corsair Vengeance 1400 Analogue. I am a fan of corsair, Many pc parts, mouse, keyboard, pc case even. But I don't pretend to know much about headsets as I've never owned a pair. I have a decent soundcard (creative) and big ears ;) Sound quality and comfort are key, these appear to cover both of those things. Any input appreciated though. Many thanks
  19. I have the K90... Love it! Wish I'd held off a while longer however as the black K70 is pretty damn sexy. As for the red switches, they take a while to get used to, you barely need to touch them to type. Build quality is great, materials are great, Corsairs after service is superb! Can't recommend one enough. The are expensive but they are worth it. The only con I have found is that typing can be iffy, I find myself making a lot of mistakes so if typing is a priority... try a different switch as red won't be ideal. Perfect for gaming though.
  20. Always good to know you are working on such effects, all the little things will eventually come together I'm sure.
  21. Not mine, but a nice picture I saw a few months back...
  22. Yeah I can imagine, can't wait to try it eventually in HD and with all the bells and whistles. I presume 6dof is a priority?
  23. Me too, especially for flight sims and racing games etc...
  24. It's a non argument really... we just need modules for both
