I agree on all of this, pulling G has many reactions that I'd love to see in the Sim eventually such as the vibration and wind noise as well as what has been mentioned here in regards to vapour and flexing. I'd love to see better Afterburner effects also. I guess we'll start seeing more effects like this as the foundations are more firmly in place for the sim (EDGE) If sevenG can achieve good looking wing flex, I'm sure ED can down the line.
I really don't understand people that say these kind of effects are a waste of resources however. Surely we play sims like this in the hope they will drag us into the moment, especially with future tech looking more and more impressive with the oculus and similar devices. I can only dream of the day we can scream through some realistic looking valleys in our F-18, dropping our bombs on target only to realise you have a bandit chasing you down forcing you to get your head on a swivel, looking back to see the wings flexing away and engulfed in vapour as you pull hard trying to shake the bad guy, all with rain drops crashing into your canopy... isn't that what such games are all about ultimately? Hopefully small effects like these will all come together to produce that kind of experience one day.
