Brainfreeze

Hi Guys, Reshade loads up and I get the banner (press ' home' for tuto etc) but the home key does nothing. Was working until I started using OvGME for a few mods and included a reshade mod (Subtle Reshade) in it. Eventually remove the reshade from OvGME, uninstalled Reshade (4.7) and reinstalled it... nothing will do. Anyone has a idea how I can fix this?

Ok must be dumb... what is name of the control option to cage the HUD (hornet)? ctrl+U not doing a thing and not finding it... :(

ok. might be that...did not feel like it but will pay more attention and will try caging (ctrl-U I think) next time

Hi guys, DCS 2.5 openbeta. Notice on the F18 that my HUD display is annoyingly erratic: Often the entire displays is moving to the left or right and therefore half of indications are not visible, sometimes the horizon lines are centred but the brackets / velocity markers are completely off centre and on the left outside of view ect...making it quite tough as the reset zoom would put them back in the right place. Using Trackir 5 as well btw. Known issue?

Thks Taz, attached screenshots of what I did. guess need to import the mod / enable it in OvGME but although your zip file is in the right directory it does not appear in the list within OvGME... Guess i am still doing something wrong :(

Hi Taz, new to DCS and OvGME so my question might be basic... How do I install your mod wit OvGME? I have all mods in sved game directory rather than DCS' game directory and OvGME tells me your zip file is not a valid Mod-Archive ... Also...how do I select dark or light or medium once installed?

Well That is the reason for my post...I do not see any difference whatsoever playing with Nvidia settings, only those in DCS / System

Mustang: Is the profile inspector telling you if the software is actually taking advantage of the function or not? that is really what I'd like to know given that there are so many settings already I'd rather fly than fiddle with 3D acronyms :-) Since graphics are so core to DCS World it would be useful if the developpers would give us some info...hopefully they do know most of these answers :-)

Guys, confused right now... Do the Nvidia settings in the Nvidia control panel impact the game or not?? Reading conflicting stuff and on my gear (RTX 2080 super) it does not seem to have any impact at all when I select/change stuff on the Nvidia control panel and apply... Definitive answer or not?:(

I noticed that the autopilot Baro altitude selection seem temperamental. Often I would click on the button and nothing happens, then after numerous attempts, eventually the semicolon would appear. No issue whatsoever with attitude or heading, just with the baro Altitude mode. Anything I am missing or someone experiencing the same behaviour?

Thks shagrat. You are correct. Moved the setting back to 1 screen only...maps working...moved back to previous setting with 3 screens and maps now also working. Not sure what happened? Maybe a file got corrupted or something but well...it is fixed! Thanks for your help.

Guys, I had 2.5.6 installed and decided to install beta version as well...copied missions and skins and monitor settings files across. In all maps (F10 or mission editor) my mouse does not click where the pointer is but somewhere far on its left...makes it impossible to do anything because you don't have any idea where the 'virtual pointer' actually is... Only does that with beta and only on maps...everything else works fine... Is it something others have come across and managed to fix?

Yeti: CPU avg is 15-25%. Seems only 4-5 cores used. 1 is always 40-75%, other 4 are 10-50%. Supmua: did 1- and 2- on your list -> fps increased to 80-100fps ... gr8 stuff. Thks a bunch

Thks Yeti. Edited 1st post with refresh rates. Just installed msi afterburner ... RTX 2080 super is at 98%. CPU is 25%

Hi all, I am hoping someone can help resolve this without creating a thread that is 10 pages long with comments not moving things forward...so I will try to lay down all info needed. Problem: New hi spec gear see DCS (latest 2.5 beta) stuck at 50fps System: i7 10700F 2.9/4.8ghz + 32GB ram + RTX 2080 Super Monitors: 3 monitors -> 2x 1920x1080 60hz + 1x 2560x1440 59hz (in the middle) : Game resolution set at 6400x1440 in .lua. My Nvidia settings are attached (I reset them all and no DCS/application specific setting...only play DCS!) Game settings also attached. Cannot believe I should be stuck at 50fps … Looked everywhere, tried every trick I could find on forum (many contradict each other :() … nothing worked so far :mad:. I need a genius :helpsmilie:

Hi syncs, any success on getting higher fps? Been like u looking around to get the most out of the RTX 2080 super but so far I am flatlining at 50fps with the setting suggested above...:( Real frustrating

Hi, has anyone been able to organise a setup across 3 monitors with the centre one being your 'widows main monitor'? My setup has a 2560*1440 central monitor and 2 1920*1080 on either side. Works gr8 (thks to the guides posted on the forum from PeterP, MadTommy and others) but only if I have the left monitor as my main window one instead of the centre one... longing for a fix :-)

Did u solve that? tried fullscreen? btw...X should be 1920 and 3840 for mid and right (u start with x at 0 not 1)

Hahaha. totally get you. Same thing for me...they click everywhere, sometimes spend 30sec explaining something then saying you don't need that and then clicking on 3 things you have to do without explaining anything about what it does and why... I need an instructor!:lol:
