  1. That would be an awesome addition! Hopefully it's something we can assign to wingmen on flights as well. I think it was the Eastern Friendship missions that I first saw the wingman callout anytime a SAM was launched in the mission area, and it was awesome in terms of immersion! You actually felt like you had wingmen there working with you, and it gave you that valuable set of eyes outside the cockpit.
  2. I second (I guess 4th) this motion! I've got a handful of Mi-24's I'm looking forward to painting, but it can look a bit odd with the IR suppressor in the standard tan color.
  3. Shameless self promotion to continue the Ukrainian Mi-24 theme
  4. I'm curious about that potential myself. I noticed in the Mission Editor there was something in the helicopter settings (same place you set IR suppressors, or other extra options on the Mi-8) that said something about Engine Health I believe it was. Would be cool to see that be something you could have be tracked and carryover.
  5. I thought I would drop this in here, just so the team knows it exists if it hasn't been reported yet. It's near the area of N 35-55-31 E 36-49-50. Certainly not a game breaking issue, as it's just a crater in a field, but I thought I would let the team know in case it wasn't presented yet. Sorry the coordinates aren't a little more precise. I tried hovering in it to get some better ones...and crashed.

  6. I'm curious how they might program it. One thing I was thinking of is that we get varying hours of sunlight based on the time of year (shorter daylight in Winter, longer in Summer, etc) and I wonder if there's a variable in all of the programming that tells the AI what visibility is like based on conditions or if it's just a "It's 6am, the AI can see x miles" type of thing. Definitely one of those things that would be really interesting to learn more about.
  7. Hey everyone! I've noticed some people have uploaded skins with the IR suppressors painted and was curious if anyone knows where they're at on the paint kit. Also, I assume the answer if that we can't, but does anyone know if it's possible to modify things like fuel tanks and have them show up with specific skins only? Thanks!
  8. I imagine it's especially true for smaller countries like Norway or Denmark where if you're operating in your borders, it's already a bad scenario and you aren't flying huge distances, or you're helping allies and likely operating from their bases that are likely already pretty close to the action.
  9. That's looking awesome! I wish I had these skills! I would love to make all sorts of custom HOTAS grips for my Orion throttle base. It seems like the perfect base for these things.
  10. This stuff looks awesome! Does anyone know if someone like Winwing offers documentation on how to integrate with their platforms? Something like their "Gemini" base could be great to serve as the base for custom collectives that could be 3D printed and assembled, then mounted to their base platform. I would definitely be interested in checking out something like that, since the odds of someone making a modestly priced commercially available AH-64 setup seems...slim.
  11. Will do! I think it will be a fun little project. Maybe I'll even do a fantasy digital pattern once I'm done!
  12. Nice work! I'm thinking about using that awesome template to throw together some IIRAF skins. I was thinking about doing two in the splinter camo in blue and then the sand camo they have. The JF-17 seems like a perfect fit for the IIRAF.
  13. I love the idea! As I mentioned in the Hoggit thread linked here, I would love anything that gives us the ability to make a more immersive world that's also customizable. The ability to have a more modular set of things you can place to create things like FARPs or an insurgent outpost with individual walls, building parts, etc, would be a great addition compared to using the same repetitive model or tow. I do hope that things like Super Carrier are going to lead to the ability to have moving and interactive ground units for places like airbases and just general troops on the ground. It would really be cool to be able to startup and see other planes/helicopters getting taxied around and send to the runway, while seeing other animations for things like refueling and arming the units.
  14. That's a bummer. But thanks for the hard work!
  15. These are pretty great looking models! Apologies if it's been mentioned and I've completely missed it, but have you made any sort of Russian/RedFor type landing ships? I always love the idea of doing some sort of Iranian/Russian aggression campaigns where they're taking a coastal area via landing ships, but it's a bit hard to fake without a ship that at least looks the part parked up near the shore. Even just a static object that had an open bow would be awesome.
  16. As nice as the mod someone's made for DCS looks, is there any chance that an AI model for the EA-6B Prowler to get made from the current A-6 you all are working on?
  17. Looks great, Moose! One question, when I try opening the missions with the scramble fighters setup, I run into the issue of it saying I need the TF-51, which I don't have installed. Is there a way to get the mission without that? Thanks!
  18. I'm definitely theoretically interested, though it very much depends on exactly how expensive it ends up being. I know a quality F-16 throttle won't be cheap, but something like $1500 would be way too much for me to justify for DCS. Something like $500 or so might be an easier pill to swallow.
