1st off I just want to say that I'm absolutely LOVING flying the F5E in DCS and I think that Belsimtek have done a wonderful job. This plane coupled with my new Oculus has given rebirth to a 30 year old hobby and I'd argue that I'm enjoying it more than ever. I've flown the BFM campaign and I'm nearly done the ACM campaign (on the Mig21 mission). I've noticed that throughout most of the ACM missions some of the instruments quit working and was curious if I'm alone on this. I tried a DCS repair to no avail. I never noticed any problems in the BFM missions so I'm not sure if this is an ACM campaign issue, a DCS issue, or an F5E issue. All the gauges work at the beginning of the missions but usually shortly after I turn West after takeoff I lose the Vertical Speed Indicator (stays at level), the Airspeed Indicator shows inaccurate (usually 300-350 kts), and the Altimeter is inaccurate (usually a few thousand feet low). On top of that, sometimes the Airspeed indicator goes to 0 kts and the stall warning comes on. I did a search and didnt find anything but a thread about the mig21 instruments. Thanks.

This looks like another great module for DCS, can't wait to try it with my new Oculus. Could someone please explain to me the benefit of pre purchasing it? Is there a benefit to the consumer or is it to help support the developer? Thanks

Full screen or not didn’t matter for me. Enjoy the campaign, it’s great.

Well I figured it out (thanks to further searching and trial and error). Each time I load the game I need to go and deselect “use mouse cursor” and then select it. Odd but it works.

Thanks for the response. Yes I've tried that and many other things. The confusing part is I have the cursor in Instant Action but not in my BFM Campaign for the F5e. Perhaps this isn't a VR issue and maybe I should try it in another sub forum?

Hi everyone, I need some help. I’ve done a ton of searches and there are lots of of posts on the subject but my problem is specific. I’m running F5e in Nevada on a Rift. My problem is with the mouse cursor. I have it no problem if I select a Instant action mission and used to have it in my BFM campaign but now it’s gone in the campaign only?? Please help as this is driving me crazy. Why would it work in instant action but no longer in campaign? Thanks

From the little snippets that we've received from ED in regards to authenticity of the aircraft modeled, it looks as though you may have a mighty challenge to keep that formation as tight as you are with the IL2 product. But regardless of that I have to say that it is pretty incredible what you guys are able to accomplish with the limitations of a virtual world. Congrats.

This is what I was considering: MSI GT685-818US Intel Core i5 2430M 8GB 750GB DVDRW 15.6IN NVIDIA GTX580M 2GB DCS speaking, is it true that there is little to no advantage in getting the i7 vs. the i5 and what's everyone's thoughts on the GTX580M? Is there a big advantage in getting a SLI card? Thanks in advance for any insight.

+1. Very well said, I believe that you'll find the majority of us who spent years with Falcon would agree. Heck, Rowan's Battle of Britain was great at showing a deceptive DC. I understand that it was hardly a DC in reality but ask how many that purchased the product at the time if they knew that. We are not all programmers with a pile of logic in our heads :D, we can be easily "fooled". So in other words, quit giving your core campaign audiance too much credit, we are not bright people ;).

Here's a different theory; we may be best voting for what we don't want. Let me explain. Clearly the fine lads at ED aren't going to cater to the thousand or so responses to these polls as the thousand is only a fraction of the total # of sales therefore making it an insignificant sample pool size. But rather us thousand who responded are actually probably the annoying ones who'd be most likely to complain and nitpick on the forums... If they're smart they'll ignore us:D I mean this as light banter, good poll thanks for creating it.

Further to that, when you change the minimum to 5 from 20, should it read 05.0 or 5.0 or no difference?

Hi there, I'm ordering a new laptop and one of the options is a touch screen. I don't know anything about these and I was wondering would I then have a touch screen clickable cockpit? Sorry for the lame question, I want to be clear on this before I purchase.. Thanks

Damn!! Just spent $45 at Staples printing this thing. Guess i should have waited, just cant stand bringing the laptop to the can. Its well over an inch thick (the manual :D)

Good to hear!!! I remember reading in Smallwood's book that during the Gulf war, the Hog pilots had problems with ordinance getting stuck quite often. Nice touch if they've modeled these probabilities.
