  1. as in the title. deselect one of both, puts the heading tape in the HUD back to the actual course.
  2. I knew, is saw that damn pin... Muscle memory lets me first click on the screw to remove the radar cover, and this removes also the shape of the safety pin. As it is just invisible, it needs to be removed to kick you out of the jet Repeatable! Clicking on the screw to show the cover again, and the pin reappears.
  4. @Moon sorry, i totally forgot to look after the file! it is saved within saved games\dcs\config\options.lua copy that file as a backup and edit the original just delete the entry ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "whateverherestays", and try it again
  7. first try classic ALT+ENTER or ALT+TAB. If both don't work try find settings or view.lua, i cant recall the name of it. within it calls the lua, which loads the monitor settings. rename it. (or rename the lua itself) So you make the setting inapplicable, and it should return to default for the monitor setting and you can return from scratch. Sidenote: working with a Tripple +2MFDs and changed the middle to a wide one. Unchecking the "Windowed" Mode starts DCS from your Main Screen. Wasnt on purpose, but now i use the left one for everything else... SRS, Teamspeak, Notes, Handbook etc.
  8. da kommt mit Sicherheit noch mehr, you startet it, you have to that road!
  12. Just did it again, at dailight. Behavior as it should be. Same target. Need to investigate further.... Edit: Tried to play with the same settings within single player, and it works just fine. Wether day, or night.
  13. in addition to that: with 20 megs, the trackfile is unfortunately to large, to attach it here. Two times a "nightrun" 17:57 and 18:29. 17:34, an attack on a Grisha next to it was successful. We had the feeling, that it had something to do with the nightlight. Doing the same run tomorrow at daylight. If i can send, or upload the trackfile anywhere, please let me know. RB-15 just won't track it at all and passing straight by the ship @~90meters alt.
  14. Is it just me, or is the release parking break sound missing? When setting the parking break, it is as it should be.
  15. Join our Teamspeak and look me up, or one of our dudes. Theres a place for everyone… especially Viggen driver
  16. Finally hornetpid did approve my account and i did my very first run. THX for all your tips and hints, they may get useful later. Next step is to find a good solution for losless conversion from CorelDraw - which i donk own - to Adobe Illustrator. For now, I'm impressed with all the new stuff i have to learn. Many thanks again!
  17. I think, that's the way I have to go. Seriously, I expected, that those files fly around in the internet these days. As I mentioned, I am way before doing anything seriously. I want to try my own abilities in skills and tools. I am still missing a CNC router, which I plan to build myself. This is my approach to build more, lets say bigger pits at my retirement and on the way to there start developing my tools and building small experimental builds. So i am right now not at all planning to build a whole cockpit, but parts of it. In the end maybe universal main panels. There is a great thread here... but I thought I start with something quite easy like one of the smallest parts of the hornet pit, something I might use on a daily base like the engine crank panel. Oh yeah, and playing around with creating my own magnetic switch... which is a total different story But to your offer, thanks, there once was a Job training, maybe 20 years ago, where I had some CAD experiences. So, the rudiments should still be there
  18. i don't know, what you try to tell me, but let me quote myself let me go a bit deeper into that. I tried to understand, what they do, and how they approach it. As of now, they only have the main instrument Panel, or the Ejection seat, which both are not, what i am searching for. Right now, i am playing around with CAD to get a bit out of it.
  19. Hey there, a while a go, i made my first steps with DCS Bios and made my crapy Harrier UFC, which seemed to be easier to build as the Hornet UFC. Now i am ready to do the next step and bought an Ortur laser to laze the nice writings into my acrylic sheets. I saw those great videos and threads from all the guys around, who made those epic panels and now i want to start with my own Hornet panels. The point is, i am not able to find any suitable files. At least not for free. What i found was, that there are some guys who are selling their data, but those seems to be the whole pit. I am just interested into the panels itself. Don't get me wrong, i am absolutely willing to pay for this, but as i am at the absolute beginning of the journey... I hope, you get me. I just want to test, if i am on the right track with my skills and my tools. My first thoughts where to start with something easy like the APU and Engine Crank, or the External Lights Panel. There are some sources available: - openhornet: they don't have anything useful for me, or i am to stupid to understand this git thingy - hornetpits: still waiting for the activation. The Facebookpage seems to be dead... - Natops: yeah, but no measurements and i would have to edit the pictures, work which I could do, but the results may be to far from the original. Maybe i just need to get the push into the right direction, thanks for your help!
  21. Please compare your two screenshots. Your "Hello World" and the DCS-BIOS example have different lengh. The DCS-BIOS has leading spaces and double spaces left an right from the frequency. You can try to trim them out, but remember that to to this also on the other lines equaly otherwise it will destroy the format. Maybe it is even not possible. For the first row just for that DED Page it may fit, but remember, that other pages like the LIST may need much more characters. I never tried it, as i only have 20x2 LCDs
  22. you need a different display, as this one supports only 20 characters in with, but you need at least 25 characters. I did not found any display which fits the needs for a DED. The only thing i found was a reference on a arduino forum to a 40x4 display, but the link was broken. Sry... Maybe rethinking to a OLED display!
