So you dont use the vpc_shift tool anymore?... I just realized that DCS has this modifier. This would be great to for button boxes outside the Virpil Ecosystem
-
Hi guys, Care to share what you currently use for those who have CM2/CM3 + VPC Control panels. DO you guys still used the Shift tool or just use the DCS Modifier. It seems that the 128 button limit still prevents the VPC Panels to be able to use 5-modes on all switches/buttons when just using the VPC Config. Gremlin is out of the question()even tho you could have it setup for even more vjoy buttons) since still have to setup in all and it would make dcs in game button config much more crowded and still have to run Gremlin in the BG. What are you guys set-up?

I just got one after seeing one in a bikeshop.. it seems rather stiff need a lot of strength but I havent installed it yet. Still waiting for the pipe clamp and other stuff..
-
This is nice.. Is it easy to adjust the strength of dampening?
-
Yeah you are right I guess not much have it yet or just holding out the review. I think I ordered during the Third run since it was out of stock when I first went to look for it. Anyways there is a GR review already but of course they are sponsored by WW so they would pretty much be biased I guess.. Im also holding-out for a review of it, but on the lazy side and I havent mounted it yet. The Chair mount plate it comes with is not compatible with my chair since my change has 4*m8 screws while WW mount is 3*m6. I did some conversion plate with quick release but the local prices for custom CNC Alu was too expensive (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iz5xbys2p_jL6qX79eaCDYzGjcr2uiFV/view?usp=sharing) so I scrapped the idea. I would chair mount it only if it can be easy detachable to my chair for quick storage when not in use. So I decided to just do a separate mounting using V-slot Alu profile (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fwMCBbtst-i18qPqQvXqzNhCHtXm8IV0/view?usp=sharing) which doubles as a storage for the collective and I love Alu profiles benefit of it is its totally reusable and modifiable in case I plan to change my setup. I havent really flown with the collective yet but in terms of build quality I dont really have complains its all metal and feels like It could handle abuse. Mine has the extension and with the Grip & button box being all metal it does contribute in it having to fall down on its own and out of the box with zero adjustment it falls by itself. I havent crank down on it I did a few turns and it holds its own weight now but it kinda has a bit of stiction im pretty sure its not smoth. But since the base is dual(similar to a 2 engine throttle) I probably could play around with using only one of the dampeners or maybe add some lube, thus this post. Im looking for anybody who has tried applying lube on any of their WW Throttle base.
-
Do you lube your throttle?
-
Hi guys, anybody here with a throttle base that has stiction? How did you fix yours and make smooth while at the same time be able to still tighten the dampener?
-
What software did you use for designing this?
-
Virpil collective base plus - had to increase friction after 2 weeks use

@sirrah You should post this of VPC forums -
Damn, im too weak.. I gave in the CP#2(B-stock),. Im loving the Hefty weight on these big boy button boxes. Love the way it becomes one big ass Panel I got buttons for days. https://imgur.com/a/s9zPxpw https://imgur.com/a/2NRrAJv https://imgur.com/a/AMRh0Xp I still prefer on-on toggles than deadman toggles tho. Btw anybody got a CP1 or CP2 or CM2/3. how do you setup your encoder? coz im still having issues with it when I turn the other way I have to fight with it coz it tries to input back and forth on two inputs(CC/CCW)

Suggestion new DCS Pc - Ryzen 7 - Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
Apar replied to CooperS's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
While the price on RAM for Intel, the price on Mobo also a bit higher(if im not mistaken) so its a 1-1 for both. I feel that getting the newer system will give you more resale value in the long run. So its either buy cheap now and have low resale or buy a more expensive system (latest feature and compatibility for future upgrades) + better resale due to not being too old. I you have no plans of upgrading for the next 6 years then 10850k would be a good choice. Its just the rate of the development of software applications tend to lean more towards newer hardware specs. -
Anybidy using the WINWING Blackshark collective?

Suggestion new DCS Pc - Ryzen 7 - Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
Apar replied to CooperS's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I am too looking at this.. have you bought yours yet?.. maybe im leaning towards 11700k due to it having a igpu which ive heard can be slaved to obs for recording.. similar price and performance.. but with the 5800x and DCS plans of moving the Vulkan i doubt the increase on performance for amd systems would be minor? Some programs also being able to utilize igpu of intel systems might be a bigger benefit plus it comes as a backup in case gpu goes down.. -
You needing moar yet?
-
Im with you on this.. Currently have the CP#1 and with the 5-way on the CM2 gets me moar buttons... but I dunno this CP#2 is calling out to me.. It would be nice to have another panel, using the 5-way to change button binding mid flight sometimes is a bit tricky. Sometimes you need to keep some switches to a fixed bind on all modes..

I agree UE5 can do more the the scale of DCS gameplay
-
Should have a google sheet we can view to see our placement on the list! Thanks!

Are you using beta? which mod did you uninstall?
-
Whos making the AH-64D flight sticks? VPC?
-
Yeah, it would be a lot easier if we had shops that offer cheap custom steel fabricators in Sg. I was actually thinking of using these camera rig as quick release attached to the chair not sure if they would be strong enough tho.. Anybody here is into Photography and have this? Wil it have some Flex if use as a mount for a collective?
-
I have already m ountem then to a profile Rig.. maybe if only I could change the 2 butterfly screws to a quick release on the UCM that would be a lot faster/easier. . https://imgur.com/a/sHOdZ0p I also dont like the fact that the collective is mounted to my chair. . I would rather have it mounted to the UCM

My throttle is mounted, and I like it near my side.. Still looking for a work around. https://imgur.com/a/kEYbcpn

I agree with mounting to a rig instead of the chair,. Only thing here is that it also eats up the space for your throttle. If only there was a fast way in swapping the two. This might need a lot of time in the drawing board for me.
