Day 2. DCS still not working. Will to live has decreased drastically...
-
No one was spared. Not even the tents.
-
This is ED right now:
-
Out of nowhere it's happening to me too now. I was in server, i realized my pedals were not working. I leave the server, plug my pedals in, start DCS Multiplayer again. .... DCS HAS STOPPED WORKING.... What? Already in LAN option... goddamn it... PS: Soooooo, I tried disabling TrackIr, that didnt help. Guess what. It's my pedals. I unplugged the pedals, and turned on track IR, and now master server works.... the ****? Saitek pedals. PPS: Never mind. Now it's not working no matter what I do. I give up. This is not cool.

I hold her in aero til 90 knots, then drop it. I still have to hit the breaks quite a bit near the end at times. Landing speed at about 120 or less knots. Then again, there are some short ass runways in Georgia...
-
Read the description to the video to learn how to fly with us, or just join to train, etc and so forth. Gotta say, this video is among my favorites, especially at 2:11 ENJOY!
-
Thats true but there is a bug in POINT mode though. Say you set SPI down and are in point mode looking at an area, and you slew and hold the slew to the left somewhere, and let go because you found something there, the second you let go, the TGP jumps straight back to the same position you just were before you started to move it. It happens very often, rather seriously annoying... I'v come to the habit of coming off of point mode to area before slewing away from my previous targets. It only happens in certain criteria, I think when you press and hold the cursor down to slew somewhere for like a good 3 seconds or longer. It's weird...
-
^ Lol. The shame must be too much...
-
I know this is weird and shouldnt fix things, but it does. Inyour multiplayer options, switch your connection speed to LAN or the highest available option ther, but I think its lan connection. Its weird, btu it has stopped a lot of people from crashing mid game or getting kicked, etc n so forth.
-
Apparently there are bugs with FARPS. Trying to lock anything on, or right next to a farp causes some weird TGP issues if you have it in POINT mode. Track in Area mode only if working on or near a farp. Dont use mavs, they wont lock on anything on a farp, usually.

Not to be an ass, but this made me lol a little bit.

Havent there been threads criticizing DCS for the ILS because it guides the pilot to the middle of the runway instead of the beginning of it? Thats what it currently does. I understand you are supposed to use it to get near until visual with runway and then not bother with ILS and just do a visual approach since the ILS gets "Too sensitive", but it still generally guides you to the middle of the runway.

Nah guys, hes doing everything right, the ONLY thing he has trouble with is having the tanker respond to him. But yeah dude, its not easy at first, but then its a piece of cake. There are other refueling types without the boom but with the cable, but only for certain aircraft. Still if you are having issues with maintaining speed, then its your throttle, you need to put a slight curve on the throttle to avoid it being overly sensitive, my friend had the same issue, and now hes golden. Even professionals have issues with it, these bumps and bruises on the nose are not from bird strikes ya know:
-
Ok, I see what you are doing. I suggest you go online and try it out, the issue might be the fact that you created this mission and something is not right with it. If it fails in MP then its something YOU are doing wrong overall, if it works, then it was the SP you created. :) So, refueling is not exactly great in this sim. Radio commands are shitty and it takes a LOT of patience. WHen you get it down, its all great and dandy but yeah, its frustrating at first. Ok so once you have your radios set, you call him up and request rejoin. Hes gonna say to rejoin at 15K or what not, and you fly to him. Once you are near him, you need to get into position and RADIO HIM AGAIN. Your radio command will be Ready Precontact. Here is the important part. You need to be a bit lower than him and close to him. Not so close where you can touch his tail, but close enough where you could throw a dart at him from your canopy. If you are not in the right distance from him, he will not respond, and you will continously spam the "ready precontact" msg. In multiplayer, PLEASE PLEASE remember than after you are done refueling, you need to radio him and tell him you are done. If you do not, then anybody trying to radio the tanker will have the tanker talking to YOU and not them, since it still thinks you are trying to fuel with him. YOU NEED TO CANCEL THAT CALL. Just an FYI. Here is a video of mine, and skip to 2:30, thats how low and close you should be, though I think now you need to be at least half that distance closer to him. (Apologies for the FOV, i was playing around with a new plug in, it makes it look horrible, I know)

[VIDEO] Mountaineering with nothing but guns and eyes

I used to, but now I use DXTORY -
Id love to edit the title but... yeah... oh well, same difference, they both still suck
-
Because we all know how frigging hard it is to do in an A-10, it's that much more fun to try... in the open... with no cliffs or terrain help what so ever.

Yeah, that's what I meant, sorry. I have been to some servers that have random failures on. Was shocked to have my EAC go off in the middle of a flight for no apparent reason what so ever. (One of the most annoying system failures to have in my opinion) -
I thought rounds do not exist beyond 2.0nm range? I fired guns way back in an earlier version at a column of infantry at 2.5nm and nothing, no kills. In anycase, something has been bothering the hell out of me, I have been watching real life HUD videos of A10s strafing things, and I compared the 1nm range from target to what it looks like 1nm in game and its wayyyyyy offff.... Thats why it does not make any goddamn sense when we have to engage a target at 0.7 (or actually 0.5nm) because in that range, you are ****ed. From the tapes, 1nm is what would equal to 2nm in game. This makes much more sense in engaging some of these armor targets at o.5nm, which would mean 1nm IRL distance... I mean look at this video and see how faaaaaaaaaaar away he is from the ground at 1.0 nm, hes at 0.5nm when hes firing, and compare that to what that looks like in DCS at that range. Its about half that distance...

It is in. But servers disable the bird digestion probability. In my single player, I turned on my bird collision on and random failures. PS: Might as well post a HOG ingesting a bird strike, by a female pilot hahah yzRAhseu3Jc -

Im actually not too sure why he didn't shoot, perhaps he was focused on someone else at the time, but no complaints here, got a nice strafing run on his ass. -
Its a bug. Many times upon loading in to a server, if you press F6, you will find a ghost maverick in the air, a ghost AA missile going to the moon, etc and so forth...

85 fps with 1.1.1.1 and 40 with DCS World?
ralfidude replied to Ranger79's topic in Game Performance
CBUs going off in DCS world lag me to hell, while CBUs in A10C are perfectly fine... Plus CBUs in DCS world are broken right now anyway...
