Well I love this mod, it still works, but the bulls eye is definitely not where it should be. It rather complicates things a bit. For the time being we use waypoints as references.

T-handle. Happens at times when I go into the chat and type to my team. It's unfortunate that clicking when the chat screen is up will still activate things behind the chat screen and hit buttons in the background, but its INconveniently placed right over the right T-handle which when pulled will choke all the fuel from the engine. There's your problem. I have gotten into the habit of looking UP when I access anything from the menu or chat, that way I haven't accidentally hit it again from then on.

Nobody should be firing in HOJ mode anyway. The Aim120 is still broken and barely can push a 15 mile shot anymore, the Russians however have more range so perhaps they could. But you get burn through before you ever reach Rmax. Before in FC2, HOJ mode made sense, you were able to shoot in HOJ and then once your radar finally burned through, you were actually within the Rmax already. Jammers made more sense in that respect (But I am aware that the current way jammers work is NOT how jammers are supposed to work).... ehh....

The enemy within- Operation Hammerfall
ralfidude replied to ralfidude's topic in Screenshots and Videos
no problem, now make more missions for us!!! :) -
Jamming on the way home causes noise for enemies behind me, which helps any friendlies going past me into the action as well. It's a double edged sword that helps and hurts depending on who you are talking about. Generally speaking, when I see that a friendly has locked me up with my jammer on, I will turn the jammer off for a few seconds to let that IFF kick in and then turn it back on, this lets the friendly know what's going on and has generally never been a problem. Radar stays on all the time, you have no ****ing idea how many times that has saved my life up to 20 miles from my main base. Now, the only time I see the radar on as a problem, is when the mission is running migs and SUs on both teams and you have A-10s flying around and they can't tell the difference between friend and foe. Those guys have all the reasons to bitch about this, not you in a fighter though. I have engaged friendly Migs and Sukhois in my A-10 before because they thought it would be a fun idea to lock me up for whatever reason. This is a no no. You will be shot down if you do that.

A10C campaign: The Enemy Within
ralfidude replied to baltic_dragon's topic in User Created Missions General
Ok, here is my take on one of the missions. I could never get it to complete beyond JTAC telling me I'm hot shit and my presence is all but too much for a peasant such as him but whatever, I got the gist of it. -
Wait till EDGE comes out. That's all I'm gonna say.

tracks have been a nuisance for a LONG time now. I have given up on playing then recording something, especially with external views because of this. It's mainly why I record the videos as I'm playing them. It's complete Fubar.

DCS A10C "The Enemy Within" campaign
ralfidude replied to baltic_dragon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Last mission is the most fun and I'm trying to make a video of it, but the sound quality is too muffled and too low for the voice overs, also the text sometimes appears and sometimes doesn't which is a little distracting, but aside from that, I guess I like it. There have been a SEVERE lack of missions for the A-10c, since ED keeps ****ing with the code and all the mission makers and mod makers have gotten fed up with patching things up, at least till EDGE comes out. (Yes, I know we have gotten improvements with the coding hence the **** ups) -
Airspeed Indicator vs HUD Indicated Airspeed
ralfidude replied to Cool-Hand's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
is it me or does that look spot on? -
There definitely do seem to be times where that happens, though not all the time. I've personally gotten used to it. The slew on the warthog is by far the biggest disappointment with the stick, probably my only complaint. They didn't replicate it realistically like they did with everything else, which is sad.

I have it, but when it comes to the charts, you have to manually look for it. Where as it would be much better to have a map and be able to click on an airfield you'd like to get the charts.

bing? Do you also use internet explorer to browse?

lol, that's about all I learned from my C++ course
-
I had it but it actually is more annoying than the stock after a day of flying.

OOOOOooookkkkkkk I figured out my problem. See to save time and money, i never did delete my old DCS WORLD folder from my installation drive. So when I reformated my PC and reinstalled the game, I pointed towards the DCS world folder for it to install to. Unfortunately, what it actually did, was install DCS WORLD, into the DCS world folder, and added ANOTHER DCS WORLD folder in there where the game was RE installed. So I basically had two instances of installation files... Sooooooo Now I have to start deleting things and redirecting files and shortcuts, but it seems that this is where things went sideways.
-
Yes. I had two different JSGME shortcuts for both the regular and betas running at the same time without a hitch before. I even went so far as to uninstalling the beta, and deleting the JSGME for that too. The shortcut is definitely the right one, because JSGME is recognizing that the mods are all there. I can activate and deactivate them all as I please.
-
I have had absolutely no problems with it for a long time. Now it just suddenly decided not to work after my OS reinstall. I did the same installation as always, twice now. Tried deleting all JSGME settings and going from scratch but still nothing. All the mods show up in the window, I can activate and deactivate as if everything is OK, but when I go in game, none of them are on. It's the oddest thing... After installing the RAE RWR mod, I just can't go back to the stock RWR sounds anymore.

Don't forget, if you are in a even slightly elevated position above sea level... then your 20,000 feet is actually closer than that to the ground itself...
-
I know that extreme wind conditions will cause that to happen as well in game.
-
103 and 105s are wind corrected aren't they?

Situational Awareness - The Virtual Battlefield Journal
ralfidude replied to FLANKERATOR's topic in Multiplayer
I wasn't even aware. They weren't saying anything that made me think twice about it. Let's just say, that the A-10s managed to intercept some enemy radio calls.
