  1. Okay tried it several times. Bat On,Inverter On, regulator supply lever On as per default. This time it worked okay, but after a few more presses on the test button it kept spinning again. The animation of the testbutton shows pressed in when i Click on it and releases as i should all the time, but once in a while it seems that the function of the button reverses. so then, if i press it when it is spinning , the needle returns to zero. very strange. Made no track yet, because it is so random. Ah well i can live with it , maybe someone will recognize the bug also later on and make a clearer discription of it. Regards, and thanks for the replies
  2. I see that the the button poppes back after releasing it, so there should be no conflict.. And the only happens if the green supply lever of the regulator is On. I'll check it again and make a track file.. I'll get back on it..
  3. When pushing the O2 test button, the needle rotates to and through Empty as it should. But when releasing the switch, the needle keeps rotating to the left and the caution light remains going on and off. I noticed that it only shows this fault when the Oxygen regulator supply lever is on. When the Oxygen regulator is OFF, and the restbutton is then pushed and released..it operates normally. Regards
  4. Is there any information about the faulty Airspeed indication of the Chinook? It is a Basic but very important aircraft function i think. Why does it take so long to fix it ? Would be great if the Dev's could tell that they acknolege the bug and gave the reason for the delay of fixing it. Regards
  5. Thanks for the conformation. Regards
  6. At the moment the Corsair trimtabs push the rudder and aileron into the wrong direction. Elevator trim is Okay. Thats why I started this as a Bug. Regards
  7. For what it's worth. My experience with the flight model after a few flights is good. I definately needed curves of about 30 on all three axis, but now it feels convincing. The torque effect of the prop is a bit snappy with throttle I find. You would expect it to be more lagging, but...im not a corsair pilot. Now i'm learning to anticipate with rudder, I got it under control ..mostly. The aircraft is a hand and feet full, but as I understand it, that was the case in real life. I surely hope that realism of the flightprofile remains the goal and there is no tuning down to make it unrealisicly easy. Great first release, great machine. Regards
  8. Nope, the servo tab movement seems to be okay. When the ailorons deflect they visually assist in the movement an would reduce the force needed on the control stick. Seems allwright to me. But the trimtabs movement is wrong. John
  9. With Rudder Trimmed left, the Rudder Trimtab should deflect to the Right, In the Sim. it deflects to the Left. With Aileron Trimmed Left The trimtap on the Left Aileron Should deflect Down, In the Sim. it deflects Up. The Response of the Aircraft when trimmed , is Correct. Regards.
  10. Why not. I cant find any explanation of the mechanics connecting the Ailerons with the control stick. So that is why i'm interested. At the moment I'm puzzled . Can you give me a hind.. Grazias.. John
  11. With folded wings, the Ailerons are movable, with input from stick. I thought the mecanical connection is only made with the wings spread. I could be wrong though.. Regards
  12. Okay "Ironhand", thanks for the link to "contrails not moving" from 777coletrain. That link gives a far more clear and correct discription of the bug. The discripion of the bug in that link is mentioned to the team, by "bignewy". Hope it can be fixed in the close future. Regards
  13. I did post about this bug about 10 years ago (and a rescent one in "clouds and weather"), but your observation and explanation is better. I first thought that the Smoke and contrails were blown away by a sidewind relative to the Aircraft, but after your post I dubbel checked and you are Correct. The contrails and smoke are not effected by the moving Air volume after leaving the tailpipe as they should. Would be great to hear from the Dev's on this and what their conclusion is. regards
  14. Just my way of trying to be extra clear about what i mean this time. I was amazed that this bug is still present after i posted, and discussed this more then 10 years ago ! It should be high on the list of correct basic flight simulation in my opinion. It isn't. It is not realistically simulated at the moment ! You are speaking for the entire DCS Community it seems, but I am just trying to help this (Almost) Perfect Flightsim become better by delivering my personal Input. Then again, my text was a bit to loud, I agree (did adjust it). Regards. # Ironhand: Thanks, I will look in to that post too
  15. Wow, if it is true that airframes experiance sideslip effects, when there is no sideslip, there is a big problem with the calculations for flight simulation in DCS. I was hoping that it are just the grafics of smoke en contrails that are faulty. I hope that the Dev' wil react on this!?
  16. I had this gripe a long time ago, and i thought it was solved but it sadly is not ! Situation: -Flight F16, 24000Ft, 300kts, Heading 360, with Cond trail , wind was 30kts/090. and NO Sideslip !! -External view, looking from the nose to the tail, exactly alligned with the longitudinal direction of the Airplane. Observation Contrail Direction: -The contrail is NOT in a straight line into the longitudinal axis of the airplane as it should, but it is in an angle as if the Aircraft is in a sideslip It seems that the contrail is not traveling sideways with the Aircraft in the volume of air after leaving the tailpipe. In short: flying wings-level, with no sideslip, the contrail is angeling sideways when it should be straight allong the longitudinal axis of the Aircaft. Hope it will be Fixed because it is strange to see smoke or contrails leaving the aircraft in an angle. because of this, It looks like Aircrafts in DCS are in a constant sideslip while they are not. Regards.
  17. Okay, tried again and took some more time fiddeling with contrast and brightness, (Brightness far down and contrast high) made it workable for me. So I think my gripe is solved.. Regards
  18. Oke, i'll try later.. Thanks for the answer But i undertand from youre answer that the problem i'm having is not something that others have. Then i'll first try to sort it out for myself some more. Thanks PS: I should have added that i'm using VR with the Vario.
  19. I find It is almost impossible to find a moving tank with the Atflir in TV or IR mode. Even if i see it in eyesite and groundstabelize with HMD, i still can't find the tank on the green screen of the ATFLIR. The difference between grass and that big hunk of hot Metal is almost nill. This can't be so hard IRL, what am i doing wrong here ?? !! I tried Brightness and Contrast adjustments, but no Joy. Also point Track is never working, so i suspect that the ATFLIR sensor itself also is not seeing any difference between Grass and a tank. Very frustrating Anybody with the same problem or with a solution ? Regards
  20. Yep, 3800 sounds more accurate for a safety relief..thanks. Good luck, with the TS and Maintenance. John
  21. I think I see what is happening, sinds the systems of the Phantom are planned to be as realistic as possible. The hydraulic presure is rising during engine startup because the plunger pumps are reving up....(That seems oke in the Sim.) The plungerpumps sould then stabilize at 3000 psi and remain steady because of the supply beeing regulated as a function of pressure. (That is not correctly simulated in the Sim.). If the pressure keeps rising because of a faulty regulating system in the plungerpup assy, there is a pressure relief valve that opens at about 3250 PSI. This is what seems to be happening in the sim at the moment, over and over again. Aircraft Grounded for the moment. Or is it just me with these indications ? Regards John
  22. After Enginestart, the hydraulic pressure is fluctuating in both systems (about 150 PSI Fluct). It also seems a bit high to me ( Well above 3000 PSI), but I don't know if this was realistic in the F4. John
