Need some tips for Mission 2

I replayed this campaign last year and I think what I ended up doing was putting my radar in vertical search mode and turning, working the wings left and right while in my turn to try to pick up as much sky as possible. I'd also look over my shoulder and see if I could spot any lit afterburners. I think my wingman did most of the killing though -

I'm flying in 2D Pancake mode, but even with new wx/clouds I can see flares just fine -
Got the Hip/BS2 bundle to snag the BS3 for the upgrade price and finally got around to learning it and flying the campaign, which I just finished. Whoever the campaign creator was, thank you! I enjoyed the characters, the story line, and most astonishingly of all, for a 10 year old campaign, there weren't any game breaking bugs. I only used the ME to edit one trigger for the entire campaign, due to how the AI flies formation, and not lack of campaign maintenance. I wish the rest of the first party ED/Belsimtek modules had this quality of campaign shipped with every module, but it seems the Hip was unusual in this regard.

Glad I stumbled on this thread -- checked as of Feb 2023, DCS is still shipping with pre-Maddog-IC patched files. Armed Helo enemies are still spawning at 338 instead of 492 ft -
Necro 2.0 I looked at the mission files and I think the fuel trucks are supposed to blow up since they do on all the other static target missions (static guns, static rockets, and the easy bomb mission), but the trigger seems to be missing from the Bombing With more Difficulty mission. The fuel truck is even called 'EXP1' and 'EXP2'. I edited the mission and set them to actually explode

I have the Orion Viper throttle and only two of the screws of the four fit, but it hasn't been an issue. Not sure if having the Hornet or another grip would cause all four screws to fit as there is the detent thingy on the side of the Viper throttle that may be blocking the holes. But yeah, two out of four screws attached, no problem.

I have the opposite problem and Viper throttle works awesome but stick has been a constant headache. Bought back in April, and still have my Thrustmaster Warthog plugged in. Be patient, but not too patient that too much time passes and your credit card company will no longer intervene <-- my mistake. If I had to do it again, I'd open a dispute with my credit card company right away and see who got to me first.

I have both. I find the travel distance shorter, but the only time I really miss the extra travel is working the back and forth in the Hornet while doing carrier landings. I don't miss it flying the Viper, or even helos, though.

I got the convoy crashing into buildings plus the soldier walking into the rotor from the previous missions, but restarting the mission without doing anything else different seemed to get me by. I guess it's a dice roll! Thanks again for the great campaign!

Challenge Campaign Impossible Missions?

I'm not a mind-reader but I *think* there may be a missing trigger that explodes the fuel truck like the previous bombing and both undefended and ZU-23 defended static strafing and rocket attack missions. Like the previous missions, the fuel truck is in its own group called EXP1. I edited the mission to set it to explode like the other missions... here it is if anyone is interested. Drop it into \DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\P-51D\Missions\Campaigns Mission 18 - Bombs with More Difficulty.miz -
Hm, are you entering your current position (as seen on the kneeboard), as it could still be set to 000.000.000? Alternatively you could try doing a fast align (let us know if you are)? Good luck!

I added the following line to the second to last (Success, NO EVENT) trigger in conditions: UNIT DEAD (M31) and the mission accomplished seems to work as intended now -
Hi BD and all, Just playing the campaign for the 2nd time In mission 2 I start up my plane, tune to green 1, red 1 , and try to radio check but nothing... anyone else getting this? OK I figured it out... I needed to have ground electrical power. I previously started engines and waited to make sure I had no caution/warning lights but still no audio, but having ground electrical power it works Back to Mirage South Ossetia campaign mission 1 for Mirage 101 ....

I totally had Olive do all that hard work. Foreshadowing to the Raven One mission where I had her strafe all the speedboats in the dark because I couldn't see any of them
