I use skyvector for when I'm flying civ air sims. It might give you what you are looking for.

DCS 2.0 Nevada stutter help
sgtmike74 replied to gazmonalpha's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
Try disabling tacview. It was recommended by a buddy from the 99th squadron and it worked for me. -
I will try that, didnt' even think about create new button  Many thanks.
-
I will try this once I get home. I figure I could make some neat missions with the C-101 firing off those missiles, even if it was just the AI pulling the trigger.
-
I tried this under the anti-ship role, but when i right-clicked in the block to make a loadout with the missile, nothing was available. Can you think of another way to add armament under a role?
-
You can just add aircraft to carriers "take off from ramp". You can also select the time they are activated if you want. If you want to be able to launch aircraft in-game on command you will need to add triggers in conjuction with an added radio call. Radio calls can be added in the in-game comms menu through the trigger menus in the ME. When I get home I will see about putting together a quick mission for you to look at if you want.

Greetings Avio, I am really enjoying your great sim but have a question regarding the AI CC model's "Anti-Ship" role. Under "CAS" role the anti-ship missiles are available but I am unable to get the AI to engage any ships as a sub-action. If i switch to the "anti-ship" role i am not able to select the missiles as a load out. In fact, it's completley blank. Is this just a pending addition for a future patch or am I doing something wrong. -Best Regards

"You thought the waiting was just about to end..." Giveaway

Very nice of you. -
Are you referring to the aiming circle that appears after you lock a target by hitting enter? I think the OP was referring to vehicles that compute the lead automatically but your aiming reticle still stays center on the target.
-
From what I see, no kinematic lead is simulated. The closest thing we have is a aiming reticle displayed after hitting the enter key on a target.

Could it be that the Rocket Piper is aiming into the wind because it is calculating the rockets weather cocking into the wind. So, if a strong wind is coming in from the left the rockets will steer left into the wind due to the effects on the fins? I did a quick google search and this popped up. http://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/k-12/rocket/rktcock.html Pretty interesting stuff, and interesting thread.

Hopefully ED will get the time to make some improvements to the ATGMs as they have with the air to air missiles. The TOWs seem like they aren't bleeding off enough energy once they are fired. You can shoot one off and aim it straight up and it will look like a SAM launch with their extended motor burn with little slow down.

Heck yeah. Now you could recreate airfield seizures. It would open up many of doors for mission design

For thr 77th most are spread throughout the US zones with some outside the us. I myself is stationed in Korea right now. We also use zulu time for coordination. http://www.s77th.com

Take a look over at the 77th server, we have several guys, myself included that likes to fly with the 21. We also have missions designed with awacs/gci support. One of our mission is even centered around the 21 as a interceptor.

+1 Same here, it would add just another level of customization to an already stellar sim.

I spent a day down at the Korean War Museum in Seoul. I took a couple of pictures of some things I thought was interesting. I'm assuming the Sabre was a post war model as it looked like it had the rails for the Gar8 missiles on it. The Mig17 looked pretty intimidating with those cannons. Would make a great DCS Module. :smilewink:

A-10C A.I. appears to know when it's targeted with EOS (FC3 v1.2.10.32582)
sgtmike74 replied to Shark-Bait's topic in AI
I know it will trip a black shark's LWR. When I mentioned it in the multiplayer game the pilot said the EOS has a laser range finder that can pick up close in targets. I dont know if a client's LWR would register it though. -
It will be a great foe for the Mig21. This will be a first day buy.

This particular way (and there is more than one way to set conditions) initially set the flags to a value of 1. I did this for this particular mission to set certain elements. Since this is a "continuous" switch, the game will keep checking to see if the conditions have been met, oncce met it will 1...start transmission on the freqs 2...set a random value for flag 1 the "continuous" switch will check to see if these conditions have been met again. This include "or" statements that separates and allow for more than one conditions being met. in this case Flag1's value has been changed in the past 15 secs actions are 1...transmit sound file over the freqs 2...set a random value for Flag1 (setting up the conditions again) and the loop continues allowing clients who join later, pick up the broadcast Remember there are more than one way to set up a reoccurring loop, I even used units still being alive tied to a looping flag to keep a broadcast going. The key is to find a condition that can reoccur over and over again. Hope this cleared it up.

PUS Arming in training mission
sgtmike74 replied to Holton181's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Is the PUS arming, the one where you must hold the button down for a few seconds? -
http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=140567 Take a look at this thread. I use a reoccurring condition to re broadcast a signal.

Here is a water down mission, showing how I loop a sound file over and over on a freq, attached to a trigger zone. The sound file is an .ogg file (I couldn't upload it here) and all it is, is a very short recording of silence. If I used an actual sound, FC3 aircraft would hear the recording looping over and over, so to fix that I recorded silence. This was part of a mission I've tested with my squadron and it worked for the heli guys. The second freq is actually the set emergency freq that the MI8 UD radio can pick up on channel 1, so it makes an easy homing beacon for them. Hope this works for you. test.miz

When i get back home, i will post a sample mission for you. Hopefully it will work for you.
