This should really be patched via hotfix. A/A Tacan is a crucial part of this game and needs to be fixed asap.

[RESOLVED] ACLS still not working in the tomcat

ACLS in the Tomcat was actually working for me before the last patch came out. Now, ACLS steers me right in the back of the boat every time. Maybe ED changed something to make it work for the F18 but accidentally broke it for the Tomcat -
Same for me. I play in VR only and this campaign is unplayable for me due to bad performance. First paid campaign I had this issue with.

I spent quite some time today dialing in settings for a stable 45fps MR and 30fps MR and I'm trying to make up my mind which option to go with. I do see the advantages of 45fps MR but only in very few situations (fly-by views, missile launches). The amount of eye candy I have to give up for 45 fps has me almost convinced that I'll go with the 30fps setting. Regarding DCS there was always the saying that VR is for immersion and flat screen is for good graphics. With OpenXR and 30fps MR this saying is not really true anymore since I can basically select all the eye candy DCS has to offer (Ultra clouds, good shadows etc.) while still having the immersion offered by VR. Flying through Beirut in the Apache at street level while having rock solid VR performance and great graphics is absolutely fantastic! -

In my opinion, the OpenXR MR artifacts in MSFS are far worse than what I experience in DCS. I gave up on playing MSFS in VR due to MR not working well enough. In DCS, OpenXR MR works pretty well with the exception of rotor issues in helicopters and also excessive ghosting in jet fly by views.(F3) -

I saw another user say the same thing about not needing MSAA if resolution is set to 150%. I tried this myself, but for me the shimmering with this setting is far more noticeable than with 100% + 4x MSAA It’s interesting that people with very similar hardware get different results. Anyway, the important thing is that OpenXR is a big improvement over SVR and once OpenXR will improve MR it will be even more amazing! -

Agree with your observation regarding the Marianas map. OpenXR doesn't really seem to help on this map since the map is severely limited by CPU performance. On all other maps, OpenXR utilizes my GPU between 85 and 100 percent now but on Marianas the GPU utilization drops to 60-75% due to the CPU bottleneck. -

THANK YOU! I thought I was going nuts today trying to get the Toolkit to run but kept getting error messages Deleting the dll file fixed the issue and the tool now runs without any issues -

I don't use a framecounter, it's just based on my experience in game. When I use OpenXR and 4x MSAA the performance feels just as smooth as when I set it to 2x which wasn't the case in SteamVR at all. -

Just tried OpenXR in DCS for the first time and it really is a massive improvement compared to SteamVR. What I find the most astonishing is that MSAA 4x vs 2x doesn't really seem to make a substantial performance difference with OpenXR while massively improving the quality of the picture. MSAA 4x in Steam VR would absolutely butcher performance which is why I never used it. However, one thing I'm missing compared to SteamVR is the ability to use Reshade which improved the colors significantly. I know Reshade doesn't work with OpenXR but is there any other method that does something similar which can be used with OpenXR? -

The max player count actually increased by another 200 players yesterday. I hope that plenty of first time DCS players were brought in by the Apache so DCS can keep growing going forward...

Really pleasantly surprised by the VR performance of the Apache. This is my first helicopter and it's a smoother VR experience for me than the F18 and especially than the F14. I think one reason that the Apache works so well for me might be that the motion smoothing in the G2 just works better with the slower movements in a heli compared to the faster movement in a jet.

Sorry if this questions has already been asked before but I was wondering if there is any way to use this shader while at the same time using the VRPERFKIT mod? The issue I'm having is that both mods require to put a new dxgi.dll file in the bin folder and I can't add two files with the same name. Thanks in advance for any responses!

While playing the Zone 5 campaign today, I noticed during several missions that Jesters animations froze at some point and remained frozen for the rest of the mission. (i.e. in one mission he looked straight up early in the mission and remained in that position even after I landed and parked the plane) I've about 600 hours in the DCS Tomcat and this is the first time I noticed that the Jester animation stopped working. Anybody else experienced this?
