as i understand it, and how it does work on my X-box controller. I'm using the controller as the Right Hand controller, now with Toggle function i press the "X-box button" once and then the whole controller works as the say Left Hand controller. Then i press it again and now it works as the Right Hand controller. With the Held type modifier, I need to press and hold the "X-box button" all the time to get Left Hand controller functions out of the X-box controller. It's not "artificially held". I am using the toggle function and does not have to hold the "X-box button" all the time. I then have OTHER modifiers to have all of one handcontrollers functions at once. If it does not make sense i will have to make a drawing

Mk20 does not open at correct altitude when dropped by F-14 or A/V-8B
Mav87th replied to Auranis's topic in Weapon Bugs
Or F-15 for that matter -
I finally cracked the nut.... Been trying for a loooooooong time to get the launcher to launch Windows Mixed Reality as an application... and i finally cracked the nut... Make a .bat file containing the line start ms-holographicfirstrun: and then link to the batfile from DCS launcher RunWindowsMixedReality.bat

Using an X-box controller for the WSO handcontrollers here. Using the big X button to switch Left / Right and the small triggers on either side as midifiers - works like a charm

Using the throttle will control if you will be sinking or climbing respectively. It works fine for me, even as a WSO. If i want to climb and hold to a higher altitude i add the new altitude via UFC in the back, and push throttle forward a bit. Then when the autopilot reaches the altitude i reduce the throttle again, and now it maintains altitude. Vice verca for loosing altitude to a lower level.

From 10pct's great interviews with fx. "Junior" the tactics for a low level ingress is described as a hard braketurn to 45deg off target at between 20 and 10nm to target THEN you would climb to an altitude that gives you the right graze angle. You take the Map image - freeze the image and get down low again and turn towards the target. Cue the TPOD to the designated target and then use the TPOD for the rest of the targeting. WSO was then not on the A-G radar anymore from that point. That was my understanding of Juniors explanation, that maybe wrong, but it does make sense. There might also be other (more likely then not) methods for utilizing the A-G radars HRM.

Joystick Diagrams - Automated DCS Joystick diagrams
Mav87th replied to rexehuk's topic in DCS Modding
Sweet program. Observation - i get a No Bind on all buttons using a Modifyer, and the Modifyer is a No Bind as well. -
Finally made it work. I think it was a double bound key on the controller, or that I tried to use not castle but the other f#@$er I can't remember the name of now to the right instead of to the left (RHC) to take control of the A-G radar.

+100 for the initiative The Discord chan look really good with regards to information

I have the problem when switching to the WSO in single player. Cannot take control of the radar with RHC Coolie Right x2 - no matter what kind of physical controller i program it for. And it does not matter if the F-15E i fly in is a "Player" or a multiplayer capable jet. Any one who CAN control the radar in the back while flying as single player?

Autopilot deactivation in pilot/WSO exchange
Mav87th replied to flavnet's topic in Bugs and Problems
I can confirm that yesterdays update fixed it -
@Ramsay - i would suppose that droping from level flight at 12k ft. was just not an option. Burst spread pattern was selected by planning the pickle and delivery altitude pre-flight and then adhering to that plan.
-
Yea Ramsay CBU-97's seems about right in behavour. And thats funny as it should have the same fuze as the MK-20 (FZU-39). And yes it is required to set it in flight if you want to change it, but in reality it should be set on the FZU fuze on the bomb it self, and then the system in the jet (PACS for F-15E) should be set to mirror that setting, in order for the system to make the right calculations for the delivery. CBU-87's behaves like the MK-20s (which is similar to "does not work") In reality the MK-20 should not even have the option to select HEIGHT, as the fuzes it has are soly time based fuzes. Some early MK 339 fuzes were pre-selected so that only the 4.0-second option time could be utilized. These fuzes were assembled in single function MK 20 MOD 2 (ROCKEYE II) weapons.

Autopilot deactivation in pilot/WSO exchange
Mav87th replied to flavnet's topic in Bugs and Problems
ditto -
@Zahnatom Hi - yea i'm well aware of that, BUT that does not change the behavoir of the bomb. As others have experienced as well it does not matter if you set the fuxe to 3000 ft or 700 ft or the timer to 0.95 sec or 4.whatever. Changing Fuze settings via PACS does nothing. And that would be quite realistic, as in real life you would make the changes on the Mk-20 bomb (back in pre 1999) on the fuze it self before flight. We can not do that on the Mk-20 as it is now via Mission Editor.
-
As far as I can find out. It's not possible to set any fuzes on the F-15E except on the mk-84. Neither of the CBU's has any fuze options in the munitions window in the mission editor. So I guess?? that each bomb has a hard coded value for time and height for now....

Deactivate Iceman and use normal autopilot
Mav87th replied to Harald_Bluthaar17's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Late followup question on this topic. Is it possible to let Iceman follow an AI lead aircraft? aka - a flight of two Tomcats Diamond-1-1 is an AI crew Diamond-1-2 is a player aircraft, where you jump into the Rio seat once airborne -
Does anyone know when the preorder period discount will end ?

Would it have any influence in the A-10C II at what time of the alignment phase of the jet, that the weapon is loaded...? i.e. if the weapon is loaded in dsms before alignment is complete vs. if the weapon is loaded via dsms after alignment is fully complete Not going to link it, but there is a JDAM manual in pdf form out there on the internet

So whom do we need to drag into the thread

Is the A-10C II module worth to get??
Mav87th replied to scommander2's topic in DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer
I would say that the quality alone of the module makes it more than worth the while. It's a really nice finished product. Love the avionics package to do the dirty work. It's not a turn and burn aircraft, it's only burn <---Me old F4 Falcon BMS die hard pilot -
@Yurgon and @NineLine is this something you could look into at some point?
