Strobe lights. Pretty simple, one on top and one underneath. LOMAC has the nav lights, and they're cool. I wonder if strobe lights could ever be included. It's more of a bell's and whistles thing, but they could be cool and simple in 1.2 A suggestion Dev's.

GA, you know how much I love your movies, you could pretty much tape a turd in a toilet bowl and I'd aplaud it these days! This latest movie is very different, but again, I like it. Like you said though, probably not as grand as you guys would want for the campaign. Hey, if you ever want to tape some cool A2A action you might consider grabbing a track from our online server. We regularly get 20+ people in there and the fights are MASSIVE! Let me know if we can help and I'll put a request through.

Yeah the Iraqis had all sorts of APC's. From 4 miles on the FLIR camera or Mav cam you can't tell a Yank tank from a Russian/Iraqi. The Pilot gets told to roll in on someone at such and such a position, thats what he does. Even an A-10 doing 250-300kts at 500feet, with the pilots head looking all around for SAM's, he is going to have a real hard time telling friend from foe. Poor guy

I think you'll find this doable with the right number of people. 169th flew an 8 ship formation bombing mission a few times last year, there was no problems with lag, and the formation was reasonably tight. It's different to the AI. Good on you for giving it a shot. If you want to ask for 169th involvement I'm sure we'd all be keen to participate, http://www.169thpanthers.net, visit it and proposition 169th_Ice on it. Would be fun, IF properly organised and with the right people. Password sounds good. I'd suggest putting up a diagram of how the should look, and pre briefing the A/C type, and a speed, heading and altitude to fly on so that everyone can join in. Maybe have it orbiting a base with a 15` turn so that people can take off and join up 1 by one. If you were going to have a TS chanel dedicated, perhaps have a RADIO SILENCE rule, so that the airways are clear for you to direct it all. Best of luck with it

Hey all, sorry to say that despite some intense initial interest, I only ever ended up having three squads who were genuinely interested in organising a squad match, which we have done. Thank you to JaBoG_32, VVS504 Moose Squadron, and the 42nd Redhunters. It's a bit disappointing considering that there are so many squads out there that virtually no one is interested in any competition...come on, it's a combat flight sim, it's ALL ABOUT competition. I just hope that, being holiday season, most squads are pretty inactive at the momment. Unfortunately I will not be around anymore, I head back into training with the RAAF on Saturday and will be away from a broadband connection for probably a year. I may get online at Jaws' house every now and then on a weekend, he lives near the base I'm training at until March. I hope some people in the community take the oppourtunity to organise some competition between the squads. Competition and team work amongst each other and the squads is what will take this sim to a new level, not better AI. Best wishes to you all, adios. Sven

Well, I really don't know. I'm back at officer training school with the RAAF until the end of March. The only way I'll get back up is to take my PC over to Jaws' house, which isn't too far away, and I intend to do this if he can find a weekend where his G/F isn't going to whip him away. After that however I'm going to an interim posting and I very much doubt I'll have broadband...sure it's probably going to be a fighter squadron I'll be working at but there won't be any Lomac. Then I start basic flying training in June and am gonna be busy for 6 months, no holidays until the end of 2005. I get three months off then but whether I have broadband or not depends on where I stay, I really don't know what I'll be doing at that stage. So, other than a weekend or two at Jaws' house, after the 14th I'm probably gone for good :(

Well, my smart ass attitude departs the LoMaC world again on the 14th, so we need someone to fill my boots. We'll just about do a clock in clock out like the cartoon characters lol. Squads, keep sending your interest to sven@169thpanthers.net
