Some Youtube people are stating that paying off the Membership Fee all at once cost more than paying month to month but when I checked paying it all off at once has a 12% discount. But I'll still be keeping my wallet away from this dumpster fire. Really don't like the idea of a Membership Fee and Pimax having the ability to brick my device through a membership account.
-
Remember how the Quest requires you to have a Meta/Facebook account to use your Quest VR? It looks like Pimax is trying to turn their headsets into hardware as a service and their drivers as software as a service. If you wish to purchase a Pimax VR headset you currently need to put down a huge down payment and then pay a membership fee. I have been personally been waiting for around a year for the Pimax Chrystal Super to come out. AS per Pimax's Webstore "Payment Option 1: Pay membership fees at once with 12% discount $999 upfront + $32.99 membership fee * 24 mo. * 88% = $1,696 USD in total Payment Option 2: Pay membership fees over 24 month $999 upfront + $32.99 membership fee * 24 mo. = $1,791 USD in total *You'll start paying the monthly membership fees in app 10 days after activating your Crystal Super. " "What happens if I choose the monthly plan and miss a payment? You can pay Prime at once and you never have this situation occur. But yes, if you choose for monthly payments, and miss a payment, then the Pimax Play software will stop functioning, until you complete the payment." "After you’ve completed the 2 year subscription, you can then use it for free as long as you like? Yes. After 24 months (or if you decide to pay off Prime in one go), the whole headset is yours and you'll never be required to pay for any subscription. The subscription is tied to your headset, so even if you sell it, the subscription won't reset." Pimax DOES NOT give the consumer the choice of buying the headset out right for a single payment. You have to put a down payment on it first, and either pay the full 2 year membership fee at once with a discount, or pay it out monthly for 24 months. And while Pimax claims its all yours free and clear after you pay it off, you are still required to maintain a membership and nothing is going to stop Pimax from deciding to move features behind a paywall at a later date with a "Membership Fee". Keep in mind Pimax is using the words "membership fees" Not "Payments" or 'Payment plan" it is a "Membership Fee". This comes with 2 consequences. First is the fact You have to maintain a membership with pimax wither or not you are paying for it. Secondly they can turn off your headset anytime they want to. The other issue is going to be with buying a used Pimax. Not much is going to stop a current owner from selling their pimax with part of the membership still outstanding meaning people are probably going to be purchasing used Pimax headsets on ebay that are bricked by Pimax due to the original owner not paying off the Membership fee. Ya I'm sorry, Pimax can take their membership and Shove it! If I can't buy it outright ... I'm not buying it. Sadly I was actually looking forward to the Super

So umm when this drama is over can we get "lawyers in the open" and "Law offices" as Targets in the game? Just asking. -

Took about 5 days for me but I was one of the early ones. I had a squad mate put his in the day before me and his only took him 2 days. I imagine ED is getting swamped with refund request and they have to manually address their support tickets including the request for refund. ED more than likely does not have an automated process for this unlike BIG digital distribution companies like Steam and Epic. Not defending anyone but I imagine this problem is compacted by the fact that not every one wants a refund on their F15e. -

Dear Eagle Dynamics, Thank you for the OH58-D Sorry about the drama this situation has caused us all, but If this issue ever come to a satisfactory conclusion for us customers, I may consider re-purchasing the F-15e. Hopefully who ever acquires the rights to these modules will continue to develop them. BTW my "Potentially Unwanted App" Issue went away Hopefully my Harrier holds up but I rarely fly it any way and may just uninstall it for now to save precious space on my SSD. Have a nice one. -
Just got these on the F-15e I have the AV-8B N/A but it's not tossing these yet. It's seems to be just Razbam and the (Mod)_CPT.DLL and the ARF.DLL

Microsoft Defender says F15E is Potentially Unwanted.
Major_Mayhem replied to Major_Mayhem's topic in F-15E
At least It's a Low threat and probably a false positive. I am not running any mods for it or even skins. I am running a few mods for DCS for other AC and I have a couple of community made AC ... but none that have anything to do with the F15 (c or e) None of my AC Community mods require a paid mod or base AC. And I haven't even flown the F15e once Nor have I set it up I have only downloaded it. I wonder if this will create the same license issue that malwarebytes does. -

WTF? Some people are also reporting problems with malwarebytes as well. In malwarebytes it's allegedly causing a licensing issue. This is Windows Security/Defender. I hope this is just a false positive but I have never had this happen with a DCS MOD or any other product for DCS and I find it interesting it's happening with the F15e considering what is going on. I haven't actually flown the F-15 yet or even set it up. I have no other mods or even skins for it. I pre-ordered it and not sure when I downloaded it. -
As much as it sound like joke considering the current drama, it's not a joke. Windows Security is reporting 2 DLLe files in the F15 as potentially unwanted apps.

Will there be any updates to Nedava ?
Major_Mayhem replied to Raviar's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
I would like to see a small inexpensive graphics and coverage area update for the nevada map. I would be willing to pay around 10 bucks for it but I also hope it would stay compatible with non-updated NV map so that Users with slower performing systems and have not updated can still stay play on the same services with people who have the updated map. People who have and can handle the Update just get more pretty terrain and objects over a wider area. I think that is how the Normandy/Channel and Normandy 2 maps work or are suppose to work any way. -

I really don't care, I don't care about ED either, I care no more for them then I do a Chrysler employee when the clutch on my Jeep goes out and I'm stuck on the side of the road during a labor dispute between them and their company. So it doesn't matter to me what is going on between ED and Razbam. I'm the customer, I'm not their family and I'm not their friend, The only investment I have with them is the money I paid for their Early Access product under the promise it will be supported and fully developed which is now very questionable. Nate coulda ran off with Ron's Wife, I'm not their marriage counselor, and It doesn't change the fact I paid for a lemon module that right now is looking like it's going to go the way of VEAO Simulation's Hawk T.1A. My beef with Razbam is that they deliberately used us to put pressure on ED to give Razbam what Razbam wants. Why hasn't Razbam just litigated? Why not just get a lawyer and sue, heck they should have at least one on retainer. If Razbam is in the right than this should have never had come before us in the first place and Ron should have kept his pie hole shut. Instead, He basically told the customer base that their stuff isn't going to work any more cause ED did them a naughty an so they are no longer supporting their products, so there! "They give me what I want or Your Toys will break!" <In evil villain voice> Right now, I just want my money back on the Razbam products I have purchased in store credit. I will find other products sold by ED to spend it on. However, I will never ever buy another Razbam product for any sim, I will never pre-order another product from ED for DCS ever again (Th. I will either pay full price for the products when they release or wait even longer and catch them when they go on sale. That may be a year or two but once bitten twice shy. And Lastly I don't want to have to play on 5+ year old version of DCS to use a product I paid for like those poor souls that bought Hawk T1a, If that happens I will no longer be be buying anything from ED ... I'll be stuck on old version anyway and won't be able to use new products, so why buy them?!?!. The biggest wrong I see with ED right now is continuing to Sell Razbam products specially if they are in the right. unfortunately IF ED is in the right that also means Razbam is probably done for and won't be able to continue to support and develop their products any way, No one will let them sell mods for their sims let alone ED. So pretty much they will be out of the Sim/Mod game. The only bright side of this is If ED is in the right they can allegedly take over the mods to further support and developer them at which time I will happily repurchase them then. I'm not a fan boy I just want what I paid for and I don't like being used or manipulated to help settle some one else's dispute. -

You know this doesn't have to have anything to do with who is in the right or the wrong. Razbam stopped supporting/developing their products to punish the player base, so that the player base would put pressure on Eagle Dynamics motivating them (ED) to give Razbam what they want. Not getting into the problems between ED and Razbam but at the end of the day Razbam chose to stop developing/supporting there products for ED's DCS world. Eagle Dynamic has chosen to continue selling said products while their customer base screams and cries for refunds on those same Razbam products they paid real money for that are no longer being supported let alone developed by the developer Razbam. Currently Only a handful of people have received refunds out of all the people that have requested one. Most of my squadmates have asked for refunds on the F15E alone .... to the best of my knowledge so far only 1 the first has actually received a refund and we all submitted ours the same way with the same format. ED should stop selling Razbam Products until this is resolved. Just Sayin! -

What's to understand? I purchased the product (F-15 and AV8B) From ED. The developer Razbam publicly announced that they have stopped supporting the products that they developed for ED's DCS. Products Developed by Razbam (M2K) start breaking with no updates on the horizon. ED is still selling Razbam products while many of us our awaiting approval for our refund request on these now unsupported MODS especially on the F15E. If ED refunds me the money I'm good. (I'll just use it to buy the OH58) If ED takes control of the mods in question and continues to develop them to completion in a timely manor I'm good. (I'll still buy the OH58) If Razbam steps up and resumes development and support of their mods I'm good. (I'll still buy the OH58) However at the going rate ED and Razbam may well find themselves in a nasty class action lawsuit that could hurt both companies and those of us that have invested hundreds of dollars\Pounds\Euros in this game. Until this is resolved or my refund for store credit is approved, I personally won't be buying any new mods/products from ED (Sorry Pollychop). I also have no problem signing onto a class action to recoup some if not all my losses on this fiasco. I'm willing to bet there are a lot of people feeling the same way and have little care as to the cause of all of this, They just want the issue resolved or their money back. Regardless of ED contractual obligations, Continuing to sell Razbam products during this drama makes ED look bad .... Like a grocery store continuing to sell contaminated ice cream after it has been known to be contaminated. No one is going to care that the store was contractually obligated to sell the ice cream. -

That's all well and said .... but we CUSTOMERS are caught in the middle of this. It's OUR investment that is at stake. Razbam doesn't want to support their modules for whatever reason and while those modules start to break down Eagle Dynamics has no problem with continuing to sell said unsupported modules. I don't care about ED Razbam or their little lovers spat. What I care about is my investment and the lack of return (Fun) on those investments. The fact that ED is continuing to sell broken junk from a un-reputable developer with a horrible support record, knowing full well these modules still have problems and are going to get worse as DCS continues development is very worrying and may well hurt EDs Reputation ... they need to be better. We already have issues with refunds on the F15E ... "Will ED refund me my money or are they going to poke me in rear?" So I don't think any one should tone it down, WE HAVE REAL WORLD MONEY THAT WE SPENT ON THIS UNFINISHED JUNK! ED/RAZBAM FANBOYS are totally welcome to put their money were their mouth is, step in and send us refunds out of their own pockets, otherwise they're just little chihuahuas yipping away at the wind. -

I have no faith in Razbam and no faith that this issue is going to get solved in a timely manor. If the issue between Razbam and ED is not resolved hopefully ED with take full control of Razbam modules and either continue to develop them or give/sell/assign them to reputable vendor that will, like possibly heatblur. Baring that or Mass refunds I think from a consumers perspective all we can do is start a class action lawsuit against the parties involved but as I stated in another post all that is going to do at best is get everyone a refund (most likely a partial) on their purchased Razbam products and make some lawyers a lot of money. So Dear Eagle Dynamics ... How about you do everyone a favor specially new customers. STOP SELLING RAZBAM PRODUCTS! Just De-list them for purchase, at least until this issue is resolved. By continuing to sell these products you are telling your customers that you don't care about them or their user experience you are just in it for the money. Be the bigger better person. -

Just to be blunt, I don't think the issue is going to get resolved unless ED takes full control of the Razbam modules and continues to develop them or gives them to another reputable vendor to do with such with like Heatblur. Razbam has been spotty at supporting their existing modules before the current drama and I have no faith they will continue to be around in year or two once the dust settles. I kind of suspect they are having insolvency issues as is. I really wish Eagle Dynamics will Discontinue selling Razbam products until the issue with them is adequately resolved. By continuing to sell spotty Razbam Products that either are breaking or will break due to the lack of support Eagle Dynamics is putting pure greed over their customers and the customer experience. Way to many people (Myself Included) are asking for refunds on the F-15E and other Razbam Products. It is utterly IRRESPONSIBLE to continue to sell these products. The only other alternative customers have is to start a class action lawsuit against the parties involved, and that really won't do much other then maybe get you a store credit refund (Probably a partial refund at that) and make some lawyers a lot of money. -
If you still have access to the old phone just connect it to wifi you should be able to use google authentication without a SIM chip and/or access to cellular data. Log into your account and remove 2FA then you can bind it to your new authenticator if you so choose. If you no longer have access to your old phone you should be able to email support@digitalcombatsimulator.com Be prepared to prove your identity. Once they know you're the real you, they will probably just disable/turn off 2fa on your account. You can find all the contact information including the support email for ED in contacts https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/contacts/ There is a contacts link at the bottom of the main page.

On the DCS main page it reads ... "WWII FIGHTERS 50% OFF DISCOUNT We are thrilled to offer great savings across all our DCS WWII Fighters until the 21st of May, 2023 at 15:00 GMT." When I click the link at the top of the list is the DCS: Mosquito FB VI. However it is priced at $47.99 from $59.99 that's only a 20% discount. The DCS: I-16 by OctopusG has no sale price at all. I'm going to assume that this is because it's from a 3rd party developer. All of the other WWII Warbirds fighters that are regularly priced at 49.99 are on sale for $24.99 that's a 50% discount. So what happened to the Mosquito and why doesn't the "WWII FIGHTERS" not apply to it? Is it because it's too new and shiny to give it the better discount? Is it because it's a technically a "fighter-bomber"? Sort of like the P-47 that is on sale at 50%. Is it because it has two engines?
