Performance hit ?:D I tested a lot...now those are FPS friendly...i used only one light source per object and some tricks...so those light poles bring less FPS "drop" than you turn on your landing/taxilights and natostrobelights on your A-10C or rotating strobelight on your Ka-50 ;) Obviously 2*F-15C and 3*F-15E with lights on hit performance more than Light Poles :D Good positions and directions of connectors are key elements (for using only one light source) ...more FPS drop comes if i add/use kinda sunlight-sourcelight for shadow calculation :)

^ players ingame (pool) names mean nothing...we can change anytime...what is more important his IP address and his connection name to EDs server...ED knows his registration-login-username and his serial numbers also (products) ;)

...or suggest to server admin to add more files under Integrity Check BTW: i dont understand the unlimited ammo/weapons stuff coz if the server checked weapons folder by IC and setting was limited ammo then :dunno: and to find/spot which hangar did you get for respawn also not too difficult if you get external/outside views ...F11 view and camera fly works even also when external view off

As BeczL mentioned earlier only the pre-order price was that cheap: $20 Price of the final version will higher, ( i guess about $40-50) depends on "extras" but we will see soon

Im sure JohnX talks about the same: 3D Source Files ($150) The most expensive FULL modul was the A-10C ($60) as we know with fully clickable 6DOF cockpit, with high-det external aircraft model, and with Advanced Flight Model, etc. I think not too many Team will able to sell a FULL DCS modul (much) with higher price than $80-100...but who knows :dunno: ...but for a 3D model (only) in EDM format for DCSW only ? max. $20-40 i guess (model with lods, animations and textures)...BeczL sold his FULL modul MiG-21Bis in pre-order: $20 ...a MAX Model Source File is a different story :closedeyes:

Yes, many people able to convert nice models from FSX to DCSW, but this is not legal and only eye candy, coz without animations these models worth almost nothing in DCSW. Remake or reanimate the model usually needs more time and efforts than making a new model from scratch and blueprints. I guess best solution should be: FSX model makers bring (sell) their models into EDM format for DCSW.

Maybe on the other side there are players who do not want (to learn) a hardcore and difficult cockpit with complex systems. Maybe they need more FC3 aircrafts and FC3 cockpits not DCS cockpits. Moreover i can imagine, someone enjoy mainly the WORLD. Scenery with mountains, buildings, airports, vehicles...feeling of flight ... or dogfights only - who dont really need more cockpits, and he will use already existing cockpit (MiG-29, F-15C etc.) for a new Mirage model (4xmpl) without a cockpit view! (by LAlt + F1 key) - maybe they do not need AFM also, they like only tactics - playing only in MP and shoot others ...or others need to use DCSW as a Museum...watching and exploring details of aicrafts, (how animated: gears, control surfaces, engine parts etc.) They will need for example a perfect F-16, Spitfire or Focke-Wulf model or more detailed map, with full of objects...AI cars, trains, ships on rivers, aircrafts in the air - more life on an airbase/airport Edit: ^ exactly what Chromium wrote (while i was typing)

Well, i understand your opinion too. OK, i understand you, but we are talking about ONLY 3D models... CHANGE or SWAP ! If you would like to get a new 6 DOF MiG-29 or Su-27 model, (with same instruments) then you are in the right topic and poll. ...but if you would like to get new flight model or systems of cockpit then this is a wrong topic to you ...as all we know making a DCS brand MiG-29 or Su-27 needs years We are talking about changes/swap in SHAPES folder ONLY ---> this is a quick and easy way to bring on more 3D model makers...ONLY new MODELS in EDM format...nothing more :idea:

I don't think...you can change/swap any model. You can fly with an X-15, an X-wing, a car or with a building model. It's your choice. :D ...just think of Grandsurf's models: he worked lot...no new feature, but everything nicer and more detailed ...or think of many new building models (what you can see in FSX)...also would be nice in DCSW

...as title said...maybe 3D modelers/artists would like to know you opinions: how many player is interested to buy their new/updated/more detailed models for DCSW, even if these models are not flyable aircrafts. (ONLY 3D models - without Flight Model) so new model/object should be: Aircraft, Helicopter, Ship, Air Defence, Armor/Tanks, Artillery, Infantry/Soldier, Car, Train, Fortification/Building (Control Tower, Hangar, Bridge, other airbase object), Vegatation (Tree, Bush), Cockpit, Weapon model etc. Question is: would you pay for a new model ? (for a model swap) Lower price for a non playable/flyable object ? Slightly higher price for a playable/flyable object ?

I think, they all know how to make and add new flyables into DCS, but they need/would like to get new and more detailed models such as "your" CH-53, EA-6B and F-16D ;) Me too :D

Jump out by RAlt+J and AI will get the ladder and chocks. Intake and nozzle covers, ladder and chocks will be available later for players.

Diveplane, non reflective paints are more common than shiny. Optional glossy-bright effects will coming in the future as well as specular effect. Some new images more with details of glasses of luminaries, EOS, glass parts on tail and chrome struts.
