I use that awesome app, however, the stock F4 kneeboards don't seem to sync. Did you notice that?

Definitely the level of detail, starting from the start-up procedures to the graphics to the helmet and visor and sunglasses, it's all awesome

Emergency landing on Persian Gulf map Instant mission bug?
Dentedend10 replied to Dentedend10's topic in Bugs & Problems
I wonder if the mission is as intended, but the second engine cutting out is causing the issue, as discussed here: -
In this mission, a couple minutes after the first engine goes out the second one does as well. From then on I do not have any control over the plane and thus I cannot make it to the divert airfield. Even if I jettison all stores, turn off dead engine master switch and generator. Once second engine dies I cannot restart it. Anyone tried this mission and had success?
-
I initially had issues as well. THen realized that I had to tune the course knob to the provided course for the ILS. Bearing/distance I leave it on TAC, Navigation mode on ILS. It works now beautiful also, you might need to contact the tower as some towers will turn it on only after

something changed with force feedback for F-14
Dentedend10 replied to Jeeve79's topic in Bugs and Problems
"use FFB trim implementation" under F14 Special settings. this is in addition to FFB enabled under general settings -
Having problem with VPForce RHino as well. Engaging autopilot the plane drops the nose forcefully. It does not hold altitude. I had no issues with these modes on spring stick. Edit: found the solution. I did not have the FFB implementation enabled under F14 special options. Now it all works great

something changed with force feedback for F-14
Dentedend10 replied to Jeeve79's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi! I have recently acquired an FFB base. I am noticing that the autopilot doesn't work with FFB currently. WHen I engage just attitude hold, the plane pitches down forcefully. This is even after the plane has been trimmed neutral. When I engage altitude hold, it does not hold the altitude after pressing the reference button and the light going out. Is there a fix for this? Thank you for your work on this amazing bird Edit: it's all fixed. I had to enable the FFB under F14 special settings. Now trim and autopilot work beautifully -
Jester interaction wheel incomplete display. VR

For me wheel is visible now. All I had to do was click "use system resolution" in DCS mirror under VR tab -
Jester interaction wheel incomplete display. VR
Dentedend10 replied to ejaimes's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
I'm on Pimax Crystal and having the same issue, and yes, cannot go to single thread. Have to try fiddling with special settings -
Same issue, however I cannot even contact the tanker even when I get there, therefore no refuelling and no RTB. This was the only time I made it to this part of the mission by flying way over the MANPADS. Some weird AI bug happened to Smoke though and he didn't provide high cover just followed me all along, and then at some point he just ejected, and the plane kept bouncing around in the AO. Messed up AI

fixed Mission 3 - Impossible to survive the SAM launch
Dentedend10 replied to guiduz's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have tried different approaches but I cannot get through this part of the mission. Attached is a tacview of my latest attempt. That Igla takes a crazy turn at Mach 1.6 and like the flares weren't even there. I do not like skipping missions but I'll be doing that on this one Tacview-20240505-003323-DCS-R1 M03 ALT A.zip.acmi -
Yes this worked! So the coordinates were given in minutes decimal. This format worked accurately when entering a markpoint. For PP I guess I would need seconds and more precise coordinates. Designated the markpoint as you mentioned and then I didn't need to slew the pod, it was right on target. Now just struggling with the SAM evasion part haha. I saw some tips on the forum that I'll try

fixed Mission 3 - Impossible to survive the SAM launch
Dentedend10 replied to guiduz's topic in Bugs and Problems
I flew low, got launched at twice so far, and it got me twice. First time I didn't know what to expect so I didn't have proper countermeasures or evasion. Second time I did everything I could but the SAM still got me. I pulled a max G turn (whatever the plane allowed me to without disengaging overG, I think it was a 6G turn at mach 1.0), throttled back, countermeasures launched in S/A. None of this challenged the SAM. Next time I'll try to overfly at 1500' Edit: I flew at 2500' and got shut down again. Any tips? -
Thanks for the guidance, that sounds like how it's supposed to be done

So seems like it's a problem with how I enter the co-ordinates. I missed again, same spot. This time I ordered Smoke to drop the bomb as well. He nailed it. Probably the coordinates are given in minutes decimals, and I have to convert them to seconds? That's what I'll have to try next
-
Thanks! I’ve been doing those steps, but I’ll try setting EFuz to delayed. It says it’s a building stronghold, maybe I’ll need that penetration first.

Hi, I'm fairly new to the Hornet and having some difficulties with the JDAM drop. I enter the coordinates through the JDAM display. I've dropped the bomb two times now to hit nothing. When I fly by where it dropped, there seems to be a building pretty close to it, could be considered a 'stronghold'. However, if that is the true target, the bomb dropped twice next to the building, with no damage. So I wonder what I'm doing wrong, or why is there no seconds in the coordinates that I am given? Maybe there is more to this that I don't know other than entering the coordinates on the jdam display and flying from the heading they asked me for? Any help is appreciated Edit: looking at my Tacview, the bombs do hit the target. So maybe I'm missing some kind of fuse settings on the JDAM? I thought I had it on Instantenous oooor I need to drop it from a lot higher ( I probably dropped it under 10K ft)?

I’ve also done the mission with Stored Heading alignment s suggested and it worked, mostly. On Case III recovery, Smoke stays with me all the way to the deck. It’s like he never contacts Marshal. my last call was to RTB instead of refuel. On the way back there is another radio comm by him, and then he just stayed with me. I didn’t check if there was another F10 option to send him away one more thing: once I chose to RTB, I still got a on screen message about refueling, on how to approach the tanker or something along those lines. Disregarded it since I def picked RTB and comms matched my selection. On screen text didnt

R1 temporary bug fixes (currently: M02)
Dentedend10 replied to baltic_dragon's topic in F/A-18C Raven One Campaign
I’m having the same issue. I do have VoiceAttack running but I also cannot run without it in VR. I’ll try to take the scenic route to WP1 next -
Hi, While so far the campaign is a blast, just thought I'd report a minor bug on the way. No problems until flight lead contacts mother. Then they tell me to switch to Tower. I switch to Channel 9 on the primary radio. I try to use the built-in DCS comms to communicate with Mother. However, I get no response and therefore no landing grade in the end either. Mission can be completed no problem regardless. Maybe the Supercarrier Tower freq has changed?

Since the latest Pimax update I don’t have to recalibrate eye tracking every time. It’s a highly welcomed upgrade
-
It says it saves eye-tracking calibration.. I’m very excited to see that
-
I haven’t experimented that much, as I soon settled with DLSS. To counteract the unclear cockpit texts, i upscale the foveated region. Visuals are very nice and FPS is generally good (expect for the F14 at Nellis ). hardware in description
