  1. And if you are looking for something more sturdy then QR4rigs is a great solution. I use their mount for pedals and sticks but I’m sure you can use it for throttle too
  2. Mine has arrived too. While I have yet to try it in flight, I do have to say it’s a bit disappointing how limited the mounting is. I am on a DoF motion sim platform, and this panel comes without any mount option to one of the main motion platforms out there. There should be some holes for screwing this at least on the bottom. So for now I’ll have to order an extra mounting plate from Amazon and stick it to metal, which I’m not sure how feasible it will be edit: I was able to mount it using a universal mount from Amazon. Not ideal, as it is still connected by the sticky pads only, but it seems ok for now.
  3. After having countless ways of disengaging autopilot during ACLS (PLM button, autopilot switch, stick pressure, etc.), I’m not too surprised there is countless ways to set up for a dogfight
  4. Mine is also on the way, so is an aluminium plate for mounting I really wish they just made it mountable to their Orion Bases. Regardless, very excited!
  5. So is this headset really omg? I mean clarity is important, but what about the distortions? Are the controllers as bad as some made it sound? And so still no motion smoothening (ASW equivalent)? aero dropped the price, but the lack of inside out tracking and controllers is a no no for me
  6. Thanks although I don’t have those options. Might need to order some random clamp online
  7. I was really hoping there would be a way to mount it to the Orion 1 throttle base but there doesnt seem to be an easy way to do that based on the images and the manual. I am on a motion rig (DoF H3) so I cannot use either the table clamp or the flat mounting solution. Anyone has any suggestions?
  8. I use QPro controllers as well. Accuracy is great, it gives the extra function of zoom and opening the menu as well as can scroll and even imitate touch (with haptic feedback in some modules). I do agree it’s not ideal that I have to pick it up from my lap every time but the alternatives I tried (leap motion and HTCC) did not provide the ease of use controllers do. I was thinking one day to have some Velcro on the controllers and my shorts so I can just strap the controller to my legs (like a kneeboard) when I’m not using them. Maybe I’ll try it one day
  9. I’ve been having a fantastic time with QPro and DFR. For the first time it feels like VR isn’t a compromise compared to 2D. the low res area hasn’t bothered me ever. If I look really hard, in some scenes I can notice where the rectangle with the high res end. It hasn’t bothered me enough to play around with the settings changing the size of the rectangle as some other ole have. most importantly, the immersion has never been broken for me by slow eye tracking or lower res rectangle
  10. Thanks!! Tacview-20230829-175542-DCS-Operation Sandworm Mission 6.zip.acmi
  11. Hi! I'm also loving the campaign and the theatre. I had the issue that I completed the mission (got the RTB call and the music played after landing), yet my score is 50%. Looking at the track file, the only thing I notice that is out of order is that there is a rogue Su-25. I use MT Open Beta version that is up to date. I can provide track file as needed. Thanks!
  12. Hi! Are you actively using it? I haven’t got around to set it up yet due to some bad experience with Leapmotion. I have the QPro so if it’s good I’d set it up
  13. Hi, I’ve fired some AIM 54s today and out of the 4 none of them tracked the enemy plane. fired at FL300 at 40nm at some Mig29s at Mach 1.1. My AI wingmans AIM54s tracked well. the only reason I could think of was my incomplete INS alignment. I asked Jester to cut it at 6.8, he then gave me the ‘ready to taxi’. Would that be the reason? thanks!
  14. I was having the issue of accidental ejections in the hornet. Then I found that you can turn on an option in the settings where interaction only occurs as long as you are holding the grip button. So interaction is much more reliable that way. However, it also gets rid of the haptic feedback that happens when interacting with buttons, which is sad
  15. This is with regards to the Instant Action flight from Tbilisi to Kobuleti under IMC. The flight plan in the kneeboard mixes up the TACAN for the two airports. also for some reason Kobuleti ATC wasn’t talking to me until I landed when they told me to taxi to parking area (so I assume my radio was on the correct channel). Very fun and rewarding flight!
  16. This helped me quite a bit, the oscillations are 90% gone. 10% is probably PIO Thanks!
  17. I think that might solve your issue as I had something similar. The blue circle was bothering me so I disabled guardian. Then I started to lose tracking, put the guardian back. Ever since I haven’t lost tracking, and for some reason, luckily, the guardian circle only shows up occasionally so it doesn’t break immersion anymore.
  18. I did the cold and dark in Caucasus, mic’s on, closed canopy, could remove wheel chocks through ground crew menu on radio 1
  19. Do you see the countdown in the HUD? I got the GC OK after countdown finished
  20. In the radio training module, they ask you to tune to FM on the AUX radio. Was I supposed to hear anything there? Couldn’t from the ECS, and couldn’t lower it to a level where I’d hear anything over the radio. otherwise loving the fun training modules!
  21. This is absolutely phenomenal! DCS is a completely new experience to me. I'm not even sure what made such a huge difference in the way the sim looks, as I was mostly expecting performance boost. Maybe turning off the bloom effect, CAS sharpening, or turbo mode. Basically whatever shimmering I had before is 90% gone! Clouds look amazing, everything is sharper, and no shimmering. What a treat! Thank you so much for your work on this! The only thing I noticed is on Marianas map in the F14, where usually ASW kicks in, I was seeing the usual ghosting I used to see with ASW. However, I thought foveated rendering might not work with ASW. Anyways just minor observation, getting back into the virtual cockpit for now!
  22. Amazing!! Can’t wait to try it
  23. Hi, I’m running the QPro with 4x MSAA as well. However, I’m still getting some shimmering especially outside the cockpit. Can I ask you your settings how you got rid of it? I have render res set in oculus app to 1.2 (48xx*xxxx can’t remember number exactly). DCS settings are high to Med. I use OpenXR toolkit. do you use any type of sharpening?
  24. I've just noticed the updates haven't made it into the Open Beta yet. I'll try these files next time.
  25. Took a couple comparison shots to see if it is worth going with the higher resolution in Oculus app. To me it seems that there is minor difference inside the cockpit between 4864*2448 vs 5408*2736 and basically no difference when I look outside. There is quite the performance difference though. This makes me want to stick with the lower res. What is other people's perception?
