BOX/DOWNLOAD VERSION 2,0 DIFFERENCE
rattler replied to SVK_Motas's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Just a couple of simple questions. If you format your hard drive, what exactly happens. do you use an activation? If you have x no. of activations, how are they used up if you don't change anything in your computer for a long time. I would presume you use one activation for install on your computer. Just trying to get a handle on this before I purchase download over dvd version. Thanks of any info. -
BOX/DOWNLOAD VERSION 2,0 DIFFERENCE
rattler replied to SVK_Motas's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I think i would like to take my chances with losing the disc than put up with contacting ED for more activations. This was a problem with FC1.1 download version. Can not comment on BS yet as I am waiting for fixed wing a/c to arrive. Although ED was good at giving more activation it was a hassle and we were basically advised to ask very nice or you may not get any as they were not obliged to provide any more than what you received originally. So would someone be so kind as to explain exactly how BS works with a dvd download. Thanks. -
Nope, and I can't get it to work in windows xp sp3 either. Going to try another download site to see if it might be a corrupt file. will let you know if it works. If yes I will inform you here where to get the download. Cheers.

yes there is an error file and another texttodds file along with the named file for the .ccds file. Nothing is in the error file.

Still is on mine. Thanks Walmis!! Where ever you are.

Tried using CDDS studio to make a cdds file but I think I must be doing something wrong or the program does not work on windows 7. Does anyone have any help?:(

Used them for 4 years now and one of the better, more stable investments. Love them!!Repeating: Best bang for buck!!

Is there a plan for a North American English Cd version distribution or will we have to purchase FC2 from Europe distributors? Thanks for any info . Surly someone can answer this question. Lots of pilots flying lofc in North America and I am sure would also like an answer of some kind.

ED: FC2 - commercial success or failure?
rattler replied to garengarch's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Producing products for the Private and Public sectors for ED appears at this time to be a sound Management Plan. Lets hope this trend continues. -
Yes your are correct it is 40 plus for download but I require the CD version,(just Me), I would rather have a disk. So add another 18 for shipping, that's Canadian funds and you will get 60 cnd.(approx) , then there is duty, excise tax and hst which I will not know till it arrives, so I would say to get the Cd version will be approx. 65-75 cdn. If a North American Company will carry this software then I would expect it to be somewhat less.(buy in bulk). I sure hope that they find or decided to make it available in North America. I would guess it would be up to the distributor in North America, whether it is carried here or not. Regardless , when the disc is available where ever, I will be getting it. Supporting ED is very important, IMHO. They have stuck with us(5%market) and I will certainly stick with them. Thanks ED for staying with us:thumbup::thumbup:

Did not say I wasn't buying it. I most certainly will when I can get my hands on the cd version. Yes I know we are only 5% of the game software industry and that is why I will still purchase fc2.0. I have spent a lot of years with this flight sim. and don't intend to stop now. I have had it since day one of North Amercia availibility. From what I have read so far , I will have to purchase this in Europe as it is indicated it may not be available in North America because of the price for the update. Hope they change their minds as I think anyone who has fc1 will want fc2. More than enough in North America to make it pay to carry it.IMHO.Cheers.:)

Sir Troooper Glad to hear from you. Too bad about the mods. Loved your work. Cheers and thanks for the note. rattler:thumbup:

waiting for a reply from someone or Ed on availabilty in Canada/U.S.(cd/dvd) box version not download.
-
Question I will repeat. When will the English version(cd) be available in Canada or U.S.? To get it from Europe would cost 60.00 cdn plus taxes. A little step for an upgrade., considering that Lockon fc1 only cost 39.99 at time of release.
-
Thanks ED Thanks to all the people in ED for a job well done. Waiting for English version. Question. Will a Cd or DVD version be available in Canada or U.S.?:thumbup:

Lights should be on day and night. IMHO.

Sorry guys, there are many texture errors with the new download. Would suggest waiting till all issues have been addressed. the Meint.xml also contains errors which would prevent all of Shaggy's great skins from loading. I am sure this will be sorted out shortly. Thanks for all you interest and comments on the project. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Aero Nice. Keep going please, love the clean and easy read look. Blue is a little harsh to look at but that can be done easily if one wishes to have different color. I would assume your day time gauges are black and of course you will use what ever color for night that you wish. Please finish this project, very nice.Cheers.

Military a/c flying in civilian airspace do so under two conditions 1. fly under control of civil aviation authority or 2. GCI control (IFR) and of course there is always VFR which are visual flight rules. Under civilian control a/c are assigned transponder codes as identification(part of) and will change once the a/c arrives at destination.also under civil control is airspace reservations where more than one a/c is involved. One a/c is picked as the command a/c and is assigned a transponder code and will also act as the contact a/c for the reservation. GCI control is military radar control and will operate under military controller directions(vectors for seperation) from other a/c. This is how transponder numbers get assigned to a/c. This is a short explaination of how transponder numbers are assigned a 4 digit code. Hope this helps.

Have had one of the original x52's for years and it is still working fine. I have a backup x52 because it was a price one could not pass up. I have been using windows xp sp1,sp2 and sp3 and now on windows 7 and stick is still working fine.Nock on wood. I also have the saitek rudder pedals and they also work great. I know the newer x52's are not built as heavy as the older ones but I would assume the internal setups are the same. Hope everything works out this time.Cheers.

Where are VAC files located? new computer?
rattler replied to hollywoody's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You should have a profiles folder and they will all be in there. Under programs look for Vac Systems and open folder there should be another folder named profiles, They are in there.:)
