  1. I fully agree, and as we have seen with the Easter Eggs, on DCS A-10C you can also eject from the plane and board a UAZ. Would be nice to be able to make the preflight, walk to the airplane, and so. It would be a nice inmersion addition to this excellent sim. :)

  3. What does not mean that refueling from tanker is not possible in MP? Does it mean that if each human A-10 tries to individually contact the tanker to refuel, it will not work either? If this is the case, What is the MP reason to prevent so? I do not get it :huh:
  4. Well if Janes could made an F-15E simulation back on 1998, I do not see what would be the difficulty to make it again 12 years later. Regarding the classified stuff, be serious. Do you think that any PC Simulator is using real actual data from systems or weapons???:lol: All of them, including our already loved DCS A-10C have to one extend or other, lets call it "estimated data" for not calling it fake data on some sensitive systems. You can get all the unclassified info you want from books like this We, hobby players, do not need exact and precise duplication of systems, perfomances and weapons configurations based on military classified books. Only the enemy need that data :P Neither Falcon 40 F-16 reproduced 100% all systems or used classified data and was a success. I think that as long as it is credible in our sim world, we can have a semi-simulation with some "estimated data" and still have fun.
  5. So how do you suggest we keep a tanker airborne doing tanker patterns and being avalaible for refueling the other aircraft? I guess you would tell me to create 64 waypoints reproducing a tanker hold pattern. What don't we do the same with the AWACS and CAP aircraft instead just bothering with this "Useless" Orbit thing... lets just add 100 or 300 waypoints for each aircraft ... :pain: With he A-10 Simulator, a non radar aircraft and whith very few missions where to do any air to air role, if any, having a decent "friendly mission editor" tanker racetrack orbit option, would be far more useful and needed than having AWACS wandering around. We need an option to create a tanker hold pattern easily on the mission editor :prop:
  6. I have already reported this issue on the Open beta forum. Tanker Speed in Race-track orbit way too fast The main issue is that the "scripted propierties of the Race-track Orbit, make tankers to fly those pattern at speeds fasters than an A-10 can fly and rejoin the tanker. The only actual solution until ED change the Orbit Race-Track speed for tankers (For the Awacs or for the CAP, the actual speed is ok) is to create yourself using tons of waypoints a nearly endelss racetrack route using lower airspeed. Not very elegant, but it works.
  7. I would love to have the F-15E Streike Eagle. It is just a GREAT strike aircraft and can also do a Air to Air. And it is a real beauty And of course if multicrewed, the better ;)
  8. I guess it is about tastes but I prefer it the way it is now. First because "I am the pilot" ;) not a dummy, but also because in this "cramped" cockpit, it can reduce o difficult the visibility of some pannels and also most important, this cockpit is so realistic that a "dummy" inside would kill the inmersion. IMHO
  9. The process is quite straightforward. Create a waypoint with the given coordinates in your CDU, make that waypoint your Steerpoint. Make that Steerpoint your SPI and bombs away :thumbup: All the answers are in the excellent Flight Manual. :)
  10. Nice mission. Thanks for sharing. I just finished it although I got no message that the mission is completed. There however some issues I missed or noticed and I add it here not to criticize but to let you know and if you want correct them. The briefing mentioned the target as MTBL but the only legitimate target I found there were T-55 (MTB) and some BMRD. I missed a list of radio frequencies (my wingman was not answering so I guess we were on different frequencies) and the JTAC function enabled on the US infantry on the bridge. I received no objetive completed once I stopped the enemy column in front of our troops and if I failed I did not got a message either so basically I landed once I was bingo. Anyway was impressive to see the Tornados at work, neutralizing the Tunguska. It is a nice light misssion for doing some targeting pactice. Thanks a lot :thumbup:
  11. So I guess the solution is very simple, the editor can add a note on the briefing saying if he does not allow his mission to be distributed. Usually missions hosted in clan servers (that use to be password protected) cannot be reached by "public. However, one can expect that if a mission is posted on an open server and public has access to it and like it, the that mission may be used in other servers as well. I am a long time mission creator for many other sims and I am already working on my first DCS A-10C mission wich of course I would release for public use. For me as mission creator, the payoff of spending so many hours working with the editor creating a mission is to share it with the comunity and hope people find my mission interesting enough to play it and talk about it and maybe host it in some server. Usually I do not spend dozens of hours to create a mission jut to play it myself. However as I said, I think the solution is very simple. If the mission creator does not want his mission to be distributed he just have to add that remark into the mission briefing and I am sure most pleople would respect his wishes. Something like: Created by XXXXXXX Author does not want this scenario to be edited or distributed without his previous consent. In the other hand it is on the benefit of the comunity that the more exiciting and interesting maps are hosted in servers, the better the player experience. My two cents :music_whistling:
  12. I do not want to edit the mission, or modify it and pretend to take credit. I just want to create a server and host it. Usually mission makers add their name on the mission briefing or notes. In many games good missions populate public servers, lol usually mission maker are proud when people select their mission to play. However if somebody does not want its mission used, he just has to add a note on the briefing stating so. I am a mission maker as well and I would not use unauthorized material at all. I respect other mission makers, and I have the feeling most would like their missions becoming popular and used by the comunity.
  13. Last days I have played some nice MP mission on public servers and I would like to recover them in order to create a server of my own. However I am not sure if the missions obtained from another server can be located on my HD later. Is there any way to recover such missions in order to play them again or to host a server myself using them? Thanks :thumbup:

  15. Excellent news. This is what we are really missing. Initially I though DCS A-10C came with an own VoiceInGame system working on that principle based on some reading I did previous to the Open Beta release. I guess I was confused about that. Having different set of radios with different frequencies should not be only for talking with the AI but with other human players while in multiplayer. Would have been a great sim feature to have its own voice in game feature making full use of radio structure but if you can fix it somehow adapting TS3 to DCS A10C, it would be great. +1 just for trying. Thanks a lot. I will be eagerly awaiting. :)

I am sure we will be talking about it in years, as we do about the greatests ones like Falcon 40, Longbow, Tornado, Janes......... A awesome sim with a wonderful manual, it is a winners combination.   18. Great reading Greb. :thumbup::thumbup: You hit it Bullseye. I am also a long time simmer and a profesional pilot for living and I am experiencing the same feelings than you do about this sim. I suggest you get the new TM HOTAS Warthog to get the "full experience" and lets start really enjoying serious simulation!!!!!! (beta or not) Just the awesome manual it is worth the price of the sim, let alone configuring your own weapons profiles or managing your CDU. Simply awesome!! Was very nice reading your "preview" :thumbup:
  19. You can set the Maverick or TGP to aim to the selected waypoing pressing C whne the Maverick or TGP is the SOI. There is a HOTAS command for that but until I get my new Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS I am only using keybopad commands and I have not learned the HOTAS commands

  23. Well, it seems it is true the new Warthog is going to be released next week in the USA. I just finished talking by phone with Thrustmaster official shop here in Spain and they confirmed it. Next week in the USA, and the following weeks here in Europe. Congratulations to our USA friends that will get their hands on theis wonder so soon. Let us know how you like it and post feedback. :joystick:
  24. I think a good quality paper manual would be welcomed by many people. Lets face it, in the global cost for a good DCS A-10C experience, the game and manual cost is the lowest of all the expense most people will have. Lets consider the costs of the stuff we need to run DCS A-10C nicely. A good computer with a good graphics card. from 700$ A nice monitor, some people uses multi-monitor. From 400$ to as much you want to spend A joystick, some people would buy the new Thrustmaster Warthog, from 500$. Track Ir 5, from 170$ MFD or pedals......xxxxx$ Point is, that in all this stuff the cost of the game is the cheapest thing and paying 30$ more or less sounds irrelevant considered with the other costs some people would have to have a great DSC A-10C experience. So I would like to say that having the option of ordering a proper paper manual even at extra cost (Must be a good manual, not just a 100 page disclaimers and command list one. Think in Falcon 4.0 binded manual or similars) would be an atractive option for many serious simmers. Of course that should be a "voluntary" option and people with lower budgets should be able to purchase the game without that extra cost. :pilotfly:
  25. I would buy the online version in order to have it ASAP, however I would rather wait to get a hard copy provided this one came with a full printed manual as the simmulators in the past.
